Well, the best one I've ever seen was by the band that I am now in (it's a high school band). It was done when I was in middle school and my band was taken to see it. All of a sudden, I forgot the name, but it was so awesome to see!

Who was it in the DCI last year that did the 007 show? That thing kicked some royal rear.

As for performing, my favorite set was the one I did freshman year... If you guys know Rhythm and Brass, the main percussionist (David Gluck) came in and worked with us on a pilot of his Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz show. It was a *lot* of fun, not to mention I'm a little partial to it, as it was my first year of marching.

Don't remember what song it was, but they had a guitar. On the field. With ams. And the person marched with the guitar. It was friggin' awesome. XD

I can't decide between our swing show and our Zorro show! They were both awesome...

The Cavaliers. That's probably the coolest show i've witnessed. Their 2002 show was awesome as well, though i've only seen that one on tape.

I was thinking them, wasn't sure though. I had a *lot* of stuff swimming in my head that day. Ah, the joys of band camp...

The best I've EVER seen was the Cavaliers, 2002. The best I've ever done, would be last year's show. It was a Spanish show. We choreographed an awesome sword fight between one of our drum majors and a saxophone player. They were fighting over our majorette.

I think this year will be cooler, though. We're gonna have a Midieval show with fights between King Arthur and Morgana, with a disappearing act at the end. ^^ Itll be friggin awesome.

I think that the way my band did Les Mis last year was awesome.
We played the work song, on my own, I dreamed a dream, At the end of the day, do you hear the people sing, and Master of the house. In the middle of master of the house there is a percussion break. Well, 8 people in my band (including me) got together and we did a "hand dance" in the middle of the song. Everyone loved it. It was so awesome.

my band's 2003 show....i was in 8th grade so i couldnt be in it but it was freakin awesome!

oh that and nishihara highschool of okinawa! they dont do football there so they do shows inside gymnasiums....the bands are small enough to do that.....i watched them perform last summer while i was there. and recently there was some international music "olympics" and nishihara got like 1st place in the world or something......they dont use sousaphones, they use marching tubas!

My favorite show that I have ever seen was done by a high school in the division below us (they're 4A instead of 5A) they did a chinese show three years ago and they had a huge chinese temple like thing in the back which the drumline came through wearing one of those chinese dragons, they burst out of it and started a drumline feature to start one of the movements. I loved it (plus the pit had real tykos)

My favorite one that I have ever preformed was last years when we did The 47 Ronin^^! Though this year we're doing Hidalgo and it is already looking amazing (we just started putting it on the field). We have the same arranger who composed our music last year and it's AMAZING^^! He's a trumpet player I'm told, but he MUST have played melophone sometime because we have two solos (after the flute solo in the first movement and then to start the second movement) and just some amazing parts. I love it.

Oh, I don't remember the band, mount carmel? I dont mean to offend if I got it wrong, but once they did the Music Man... (I love that movie, so I'm biased).. two years ago. Then there's always the big band version of the Nightmare Before Christmas, too (the smaller bands always do crummy jobs)... -shrugs- We only go to four competitions a year, so I haven't seen that many.... sweatdrop
