Silence, it surrounded Shade like a veil, for the first time in many moons she was calm and stood letting the wind rustle her mane. Slowly opening glowing orbs she turned her eyes skyward and stared at the moon above, tonight was different tonight she was almost lonely her heart aching for something she could not grasp. With a soft snort and a stamp of a hoof she moved forward and for once in many many years she began to sing. . .
“Angel of Music! Guide and guardian! Grant to me your glory! Angel of Music! Hide no longer! Come to me, strange angel...”
Shade had a beautiful voice for one so ghoulish and nasty, but it was a voice she rarely used because first and foremost she was a warrior a fighter, not a singer. But still on this strange night something caused Shade to sing, softly at first then with growing strength and passion till her voice rung out clearly.

Eric's head lifted as it turned to the mare's voice. Yes, he knew she was here and yes he knew that he was hiding...secretely. But, no he did not know of her voice. He could tell that her gift was not to sing, yet she had a nice voice. His sleek ebony coat moved through the brush as if it almost parted for him in fear of his toned muscle and strength. "Brava, brava, bravissima. . ." he whispered in a tone that held its own seduction and secretiveness. Hiding beneath his mask he looked to her with cool eyes almost unsympethetic.

She paused when she ehard the voice, she knew that voice rather well. Turning her head she saw The Phantom emerging from the shadows. "Always hiding are we?" she gave him a smile and turned twoards him. "I'm terriablly sorry you had to hear a song butchered, I wasn't allowed to work on my singing voice as a younger mare and haven't considered it as an adult." In her parent's, and herd's eyes a warrior should not sing, for any reason.

"Perhaps," he gave a soft smile, charming and no less masculine. "I don't get many chances anymore." He was almost suprised that she was smiling and talking most nicely at the moment. Kalonas never had that kind of rap, then there was Pandora...but she was a whole another story. "Not many sing, so it is a hard task to harnish without one with experience. Unless it came natural..." he replied walking closer to her. "It's like any other thing that you do, everything needs practice ma cherie."

She smirked and flicked her tail back and forth slowly and listened quietly to him. "Agreed, I would be far better had i practiced from foal hood, yet such a deep voice and accent as mine help the singing though." She smirked playfully, sometimes her deep voice was a good thing other times it tended to almost be annoying to have a manly sounding voice.
