Stephen King typically writes horror novels, or short sci fi, but he has a seven-novel set of books which are a cross of horror, westren, and fantasy. These are the Dark Tower books. They span his entire career and to me, are the best of his work. He even notes in some non-fiction that the story of the Dark Tower has been what he has been trying to write all along.
Has anyone else read these?
Or read the immorial line "The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed."
