I mean... You never see him go to a salon or something (Haha, very funny, I'm not talking about Go Salons. D=) and like the manga passes in years and it always stays the same. I don't know about him, but having to wear that exact same hair style for years, wouldn't appeal to me.
And ewww, does Sai watch him use the bathroom? And other non-descript stuff that comes with age. D;
Maybe I'm just taking everything too literally. ;D

I always wondered if Hikaru soaked his bangs in bleach or something, maybe he was just born with abnormally blonde bangs...? sweatdrop
Quite frankly, we shouldn't wonder about what happens outside the anime, such as bathrooms and stuff. >>;

Ryogas_Grrl I always wondered if Hikaru soaked his bangs in bleach or something, maybe he was just born with abnormally blonde bangs...? sweatdrop
Quite frankly, we shouldn't wonder about what happens outside the anime, such as bathrooms and stuff. >>; I'm naturally curious about all aspects of manga and anime. I'm the only one the picks up the smallest details, like "Hey! That guy in the crowd has the same hair design as that one guy in the crowd in Chapter 26!! LACK OF IMAGINATION IN HAIR DESIGN! DIE ARTIST DIE! ~_n"

Small details, huh?
That reminds me...my friend, a yugioh fanatic, was reading a yugioh manga.
She suddently says "Hey! They made a mistake. Yugi's hair doesn't have the spikes like Yami's."
So I take a look and I see that the tiny picture of yugi indeed have a flaw in his hair.
And speaking of hairs, yugi's hair is even more wacked than hikaru's...
I think I heard that even Yumi ohtta (sp..the writer for the manga) was surprised by hikaru's character design.
But, but..the hair's cool cool

xDD Oh the things we never see, someone should make a doushinji full of stuff they supposedly "cut out". Hahahaha! xd That would be funny! If I had more time I'd give it a try (though I suck when it comes to drawing Sai). But I say they're dyed. I mean, seriously, I can't think of any other Hikaru no Go characters with completely impossible hair (going by the manga here since 1 it's the original and 2 Akira's green hair is anything but natural xd ). Either that or a weird birthmark... My next door neighbor has a white patch in his hair, and there's a mom that shops at the grocery store I work at who's daughter has orange hair with splotches of blonde (really kinda weird looking...). Oh, now you've got ME thinking about it! xp
