Carnage was trotting down the path. Not knowing where he was going and not admitting that he was lost either. For him he perfectly knew where he was going and all was good. He was about average size of a normal male.. He had some strength to him too. Picking up and moving stuff for his 'human'.
Though today he just wanted a day out. His forest... his path. The kind of his species to claim things that he walked on or what he so choosed to claim as his. Not being very social much nor being very good around others at all he was mostly solo. Hearing about pack talk from his 'human' but he wasn't in one.
"I suppose.. I suppose.. ly down or something.." Nodding lightly as he laid himself on a rock. Without any care of the world.

Karis had been up in a tree. She had been stalking a bird for hours upon hours now. She was close to closing in on it. She was hunched down, her tail waving behind her. She stilled herself, and then she pounced with great vigor. Of course, this was close to the end of the branch. The bird flew off, and she landed on the ground, on all fours but a little sprawled out.
"Well, darn... That didn't work out so well. I will have to try that again." She looked around for that little bird realizing it had flown off somewhere. "Oh, isn't that just lovely..." She released the claws in one of her paws and swiped at the grass.

"Wow! Wow! Cool it down girl!" She caught his attention when she fell. Do all girls fall from ths sky? Or just this one. He wouldn't have it.
"Hmph. Mad at something much." He said it like a question but wasn't. His tail fluffed up and he went in to a pounce position. "Your on my territory yea know. What are you doing here anyway." He cocked his head back and lifted himself slowly to a sit position. His chest fur puffed out as his ears shot up.

At first, she felt a tad bit embarrassed someone had been there to watch her fail like that. Worse yet, he caught her reproaching herself over it as well. Lovely.
Then, his other reaction made her stare at him. "Your territory huh? I'm sorry. I must have missed the sign that marked.. or.. your scent even. I thought only packs could effectively claim territory, but whatever..."
She turned to climb back up a tree, but she turned to look at him. "Oh wait, I'm sorry. Does this tree also happen to be part of your territory. I'd hate to piss you off as I fail to know what all exactly belongs to you."

"Huh? Oh... I didn't mean it-...like.." He sighed.
"You can go to that tree I guess. Just go already!" His cheeks flushed from his post angry self but it was rather that he would get annoyed with almost anything and his emotions would spill out even if he tried not to. Most like a stubborn one that could get what he wanted to say out.More. Reversed in fact.
Thank god his fur was red already. "I guess I have to protect yea though. Youll get clumsy and fall again you'll need someone to catch yea."
He cocked his head to the side then sat himself next to the tree she was about to climb. In fact he walked a little on the other side of the tree so he wouldn't see her. His ears flopped up just in case though. Underneth all that tough act there was someone who is caring.

She was about to go crawling up, but then she stopped halfway up the tree. "Hey! I did not fall because of being clumsy. I fell because I was trying to catch a bird. I pounced; it flew. Simple as that." She was squinting her eyes and nose in a way that made her look a little offended.
She crawled up onto a branch and looked down from above him. She laid her head down on her front arms. "Why... are you so stressed out, if you don't mind me asking...?"

"Having to deal with someone falling ~.~... you will be a lil stressed right? Right." He made his own conclusion and leaned on the tree. "And yea fell- simple as that girl." He nudged his head to one side all annoyed like.
He guessed he should clean himself off.. he went to idlly licked one paw... Waiting to hear her fall again so he could possibly break her fall. "Your a job yea know." he lightly said as his tail wagged some.

"Hey... I am a very good tree climber. I can hang upside down and swing from branches too." She said cheerily. Shye wanted to kind of one up him, but she decided to just let it be for now.
"You know... for feeling so inconvenienced.. you sure seem to be doing it willingly." She disappeared for a few minutes up into the tree, and then she wrapped her tail on a branch and bounced under the branch hanging upside down.
She ran her hands in her hair lightly. "I'm really not a damsel in distress.. but if you just really wanna be my hero.. you can be for the day I suppose."

"Who said I wanted to be your 'hero' ANYWAY!?" He huffed and darted away. Girls and their weird talk and stuff. Who would want to protect her anyhow huh! He said throwing his head to the side so his hair could slide to one side. Setting himself to walk around a rock and then lay on it. He was a good cliber too. He guessed this girl thought he was better or something. Hmph. Like if he cared..
Which .. he cared about almost everything but would never admit to it. The first person to be there when someone was hurt was him. Even if he could react right at least hed be there.

Karis let herself off the branch, releasing her tail from it. She did a somersault and landed on the ground. She sat there for a minute before approaching him. She watched his facial expressions. "I'm sorry. Are you ill? I could try to find you some medicine? Or... Are you having a particularly bad day? I can be a good listener if you need one. I wasn't trying to upset you."

"I don't need someone to listen ok~ and... you didn't upset me." He looked away from her. "Really. you should be worrying about you.. Im just a bother here so I'll leave." His tail fluffed. The emotions spilt over and he stood up; walking slowly. The fur brisking through the air. The screen of his red fur and the symbol on his stomach out stretching to his back.
"Hm.."

Karis sat watching him, studying his body language with how he talked. She smiled friendly at him. She then got up and tried to walk closer again as he tried to walk away. "You're really not being a bother at all. I mean.. If /I/ am bothersome to you... feel free to go. But, if I'm not... I can keep you company. I usually don't worry.. I guess I'm just not cut out for worrying."
She tried to give him as genuine smile as she could. She was trying to read him, but not all his words and gestures matched up. She was trying to figure out which ones were more indicative of his true self.

When he turned back to her. A smile? Why was she smiling at him? He cheek filled over that of crimson red and almost fell. "Wha!? Wh-why are you smiling for!?" He cocked his head to look away. "Your.. not a bother.. just my company ain't the best yea know..." He had a low tone to his voice. Much softer than his harsh from the words before.
"Worryin ain't good. It'll get yea wrinkles." He stood there almost frozen. What could he do, that smile made his heart almost stop. Laughing and smiling wasn't good was it? Heh. Anooying! Its annoying! He tried to push those thoughts in his mind. Why would she even suggest staying another minute it with him.

She then started to think to herself that she would just stick around and keep trying to dig a little deeper to figure him out a little. She kept on smiling as she figured a smile always helped things along much better than anything else. She then strode closer to him, to where she was sitting almost right next to him.
Karis lowered her front legs and tilted her head to catch a look into his eyes. "Do you just want to be alone? Is that it? And, what's the matter with me smiling? Am I doing it wrong? Or... does it sting you somehow? If it does, then I will stop. I don't want to cause you discomfort." She tried to move a hand to softly move some of his hair out of his face.
