The dungeon room you step into is dark and dank, and all windows block any light coming in from the outside. A desk, chalkboard, and a cauldron sit at the front of the class, farthest from the door. Student seats are separated by wooden tables, able to sit two at once, and arranged four to a platform, two on the left side, a walking aisle, and two to the left side. The room smells unpleasant, and odd-colored stains remain permanently on the stone floor.

This class is required by all students from years one to five. Year 6 may only enroll if they received an "Outstanding" on their fifth-year O.W.L.s and year 7 may only enroll if they received "Exceeds Expectations" or higher. Sixth and seventh-years, please state this in your application. No exceptions will be made.
