Twi and her Umbreon walked into Goldenrod City. The whole town was abuzz with trainers since a tournament was to be held that afternoon.
'Well Umbreon, this is what we've been waiting for." Twi said to her Pokemon companion, "This should get us ready for Clair later on."
"Bre!" Umbreon said happily and walked right beside Twi, keeping close.
"And the best thing is that it's single and double battles. So we can show off everyone's combinations in most situations."

Twi walked up to a booth where a few trainers were signing up for the tournament. It turns out she could only choose three pokemon. she wrote their names down along with her name and what style she preffered. The person helping her handed her a card and told her to be back in a hour for the competition.

Twi and Umbreon headed over to National park, since there was some time to kill.
"Ok, Venom! Scizor! Let's get to work!" Twi said as her Golbat and Scizor came out of their Pokeballs. 'Now, we have an hour until the tournament. I want the three of you to work on any attacks you feel could use improving. Meet back here in 30 minutes."
The three pokemon nodded and headed off in different directions.

Nicias sat, watching the scyther. He appeared to have been chasing a Flygon.
His golden eyes narrowed, a Goldbat was approaching too. He crouched down and shrunk back into the bushes.
