The day was beginning well with light rains that kept the air cool and damp instead of the usual hot and muggy. Admist a meadow surrounded by forst trees and the sounds of the animals within a pair of Soquili munched away on the soft damp grasses of the meadow. Neither were bothered by the others presense in fact the pair looked almost exactly alike except for subtle differences. The mare was calico colored and wearing a dreamcatcher necklace. The stallion was calico colored as well but he was more of an orangeish color while the mare was more grayish. The stallion wore no necklace and his mane was very short compared to the mares whose could touch the ground when standing with her head held high. It was easy to see the pair were related in someway and as the mare seemed to have a bit of age on her shoulders that only left one option. She was the stallions mother. Some moments passed and it seemed they would do little more than eat but then the stallion lifted his head and looked at the mare. He seemed to be pondering something which after a few more moments he needed no more pondering on. Slowly the stallion started towards the mare. Ever so slightly he crept closer, the mare paying no attention to him at all. Soon the stallion was within reaching distance of the mares butt. He stood silent and still for a good while until slowly he reached out, took the mares tail hair into his mouth and gave a mighty tug. The mare let out a surprised whinney and immediately turned about and snapped at the stallion. The stallion quickly bounded away letting out a whinney that could only have been laughter on his part.

Prancing through the woods in his tack, Sibalto arched his proud neck and flicked deliate ears toward the sound of laughter. The whinnies were joyous, but unfamiliar to him. Someone he didn't know.. Not surprising, as he had not been to this area of the forest before... A delicate muzzle dipped faintly and nostrils flared, scenting the wind. A young stallion.. The scent of youthful strength filled his nose and he froze, skin quivering. Ears flicked forward and back, weighting the decision... Should he go forward and try to make friends? Another breeze and he inhaled, catching the scent of a mare... Faintly familiar... That decided him. Lifting his head high he paced forward whickering in a soft welcome. The brush and branches parted before him and he stepped into the clearing. Sunlight blinded him for a moment, and he nickered again. "Halloween?"

Halloween sent an angry whinney towards the stallion, Critter, who trotted around Halloween with his tail held high. Neither Soquili heard the whinney of Sibalto approaching, however as Critter circled his mother again he spotted Sibalto and stopped dead in his tracks. Halloween took advantage of this and bit Critter on the top of his rump causing him to jump in startlement.
Now it was Halloween's turn to notice Sibalto as he spoke her name. She swiveled her ears towards Sib's voice and then rose her head up and turned it to gaze at Sibalto. "Sibalto? Is that really you?" She asked almost not believeing her eyes. Critter of course was completely lost as he looked from Halloween to Sibalto multiple times.

Pacing on through the brush he leapt over the last of it in his way and arched his neck, pawing at the grass and smiling at the mare he had not seen in some time. Halloween was as lovely as ever, multi-hued color glinting in the warm sunshine as her sharp eyes fixed on him. He ducked his head, forelock sliding into his eyes for a moment as he smiled in greeting. He tossed his head and nodded. "Good to see you again, Lady Halloween... And indeed, its me..." He eyed the faintly jumpy younger stallion, ears flicking back and forth. He pawed at the ground again and flicked his tail back and forth, cooling himself off. This young stallion looked faintly like the mare before him, but Sibalto couldn't bring himself to make any assumtions until he had learned more. "Good day, young sir." He offered to the young stallion with a faint smile.

Halloween stared at Sibalto for a good while before she lowered her head and smiled in greeting to him. Bringing her head back up she tossed her long mane back away from her face. "It's been so long Sibalto. How have you been?" She asked.
Critter peered at the stallion before him not sure about him. He seemed to know his mother but when it came to him he acted a bit skittish, or so Critter thought, and that unsettled Critter. Nodding at the stallion in return of his greeting he replied to him. "Hi."
Halloween took note of Critter's tension which was a rare aspect to him. "Sibalto I'd like to introduce you to my son Critter." She said to Sibalto before directing her words at Critter. "Critter this is Sibalto. He is an old friend of mine so please show him some respect ok?"
Critter's eyes never left Sibalto as Halloween spoke. "Yes mother."

Sibalto gave Halloween a dashing smile, eyes gleaming. "Better now that I know such a lovely lady has not forgotten me." He offered gallantly. Considering the young stallion before him, he listened to his friends words and nodded. "Of course, the son of a Lovely Lady... Well met Critter...." Sibalto glanced back to Halloween... "Is your mate nearby? Shall I get to meet him as well?" He smiled, glad she had made a life and had a family... He wanted one too, some day.. But so far he and Firefly had had little luck...

Halloween smiled happily. It wasn't often she ran into old friends anymore. "I am pleased to see you haven't forgotten me either." She replied with a glance to Critter, he seemed on guard though she didn't blame him much. He didn't usually see other stallions besides his father.
Critter nodded to Sibalto still keeping on edge with him. He remembered well the stories Halloween had told him about a vicious stallion who had tried to kill her. He could never remember the name of the stallion but until he knew for sure that the new stallions that came around where not this vicious monster of mothers stories he always kept on guard.
"He is out with our daughter Varmint. I'm not sure of when he will be returning." She replied. "Sibalto I am curious do you have a family of your own yet?"

Glancing at the young Stallion, Sibalto nodded slightly. He could understand that Critter was on edge... Could sympathize... After all, one never knew who was roaming about in the woods... A viscious Kalona or Skin Walker could appear... And though Sibalto himself was relatively harmless -considering the options- he understood why the younger male would fear for his mother's safety. It made Sibalto happy for Halloween, assured that her family would protect her... Even if it was from her friends. Sibalto's smile widened, glad she had a daughter as well... A lovely family it seemed Halloween had made... He was glad for her.. But her questions made him droop with sadness... He gave a soft sigh, eyes sad. "Alas Lady Halloween." He murmured. "Try as my mate and I have, we have yet to make a family of our own... The spirits were with you and your's..."
