Ever since the beginning of time, those that lived had wondered if other planets and other beings such as themselves existed. If they were to be in different shapes or forms, as long as they could think and act for themselves, than the theory would be true. For centuries, those that had lived wrote stories of others who came to their planet and acted in horrible manners. Wanting to pillage and kill every last living being on the planet. It wasn’t until a century after these stories that something otherworldly happened.
For anyone who had lived at the center of any world, of any planet, the event that took place that one night was incredible. A large stone gate had risen from the earth and had been adorned in a strange language that no one could identify. From that moment onwards, researchers, scholars and all alike had researched the strange gate. Most people living on any planet had come to see the strange gate, although it was one day that the researchers had figured out the language.
“From heaven above and hell below,
This gate has risen to tell every soul.
One of these days the gate’s chain shall be broken,
And on that day the doors shall open.
When that time comes, do not fear the light.
For if you do, your death shall come without a fight.
If you do happen to enter the gate ahead,
Be prepared for anything alive or dead.
What is past the light,
Is a world in which dreams take flight.
To return will not be easy.
But that is what is to come of destiny.
If you are to return,
Than that is so.
If you are to die,
Than you will not go.
One of these days the gate’s chain shall be broken,
And on that day the doors shall open.
When that time comes, do not fear the light.
For if you do, your death shall come without a fight.”
From that day forth, the area around any gate had been empty. Only the brave, or the foolish, would dare to come near. If by chance the gates were to open when people were around, what would happen once they entered into the light? Time only knows what will happen and all anyone can do is wait. But some believe that once the gates open, all beings across time and space will be reunited. And in that small place, they shall find a way out, for if they do not, than they shall be left to die.
A gate in each world, on each planet has been placed. Only few would dare to enter after hearing what the strange text on the gates meant. In each planet, at each time, the text was read aloud. Centuries had passed since then and people believe that the gates will never open. As far as any being knows, they are the only ones in the entire universe. Most people believe that anyone who enters will be shown what other beings such as themselves are like. Although only few believe the legends and even fewer would risk themselves in such a way.
