After leaving her brothers company she'd wandered farther than she'd thought. There wasn't some pressing need for her to stick around him and his family when his little mare was going to be so hostile. She'd only been having fun and poking at her sibling and Atsila had gotten so huffy about iit. Ah well, Nuka'd dug his own grave and now he could try to fill it back up hopefully without him in it.
For the moment she could find some more interesting things to do. After all theer was a whole wide world out there that she hadn't had the privilege of exploring before. New places to see and new faces to meet and all that. She knew where her brother would be now so it wasn't like she'd have to go hunting for him again.
Idly she wondered if her parents had started cursing her name yet. They'd both probably be pretty peeved that she'd gotten away but they'd get over it eventually. She was a big girl and could her herself into and out of trouble just fine. At least she hadn't gotten herself into the trouble Nuka had. Oh how their father would love to hear about that one. He'd have gone on and on about how Nuka wasn't smart enough to raise a family until mother kicked him.
Snickering slightly she nosed her way past a few bushes and stopped to look around. It was so different from home down here.

Since parting ways with his son, Guilian had been up to his usual pursuits; that is, roaming about in hopes of discovering an intriguing mare or two who could deal with a bit of company. Though the skies were delightfully clear, he'd decided to stick to the ground this time; for one thing, he could do with the excercise and for another, he was hungry.
The hunger had finally caught up with him just, as luck would have it, as he encountered a particularly succulent patch of raspberries bushes; quickly deciding that now was a time for rest and respose, he was soon nibbling away at the ripe berries.
"Ah, the simple pleasures of life; although common, there is at the same time a special sweetness in savoring their existance." This, spoken to the shrubs themselves, was a pretty good indication of Guilian's general good mood. And why not? It was a lovely day, he'd gotten to visit with his son, he had fruit just when he wanted it, and, as always, the day held promise of pleasant meetings. Yep, it was a good day to be alive...

After a bit more roaming she smelt something ripe and sweet. Fruit of some kind and that meant a nice snack to go with all this wandering. Turning she trotted in the direction of the smell hoping to find whatever it was. The muffled sound of a voice meant that was someone else already there. Drat, hopefully they would share.
Fruit and company she expected but a large red stallion waxing poetically at said fruit no. Though that was slightly amusing in and of itself. Trying not to laugh she stopped at the edge of the berry patch.
"If you're going to try to savor their existance them maybe you should nibble a little slower" Teasing strangers was probably something bound to get you in trouble.

One thing that had to be said about the Soquili lands was that there was always someone handy. In Guilian's experience, the incidences of meeting another Soquili were so high that he accepted them as course; besides, what wasn't there for him to like about being discovered (provided he wasn't otherwise occupied, naturally!)?
Especially when the discoverer was a mare, as the case was now. Glancing up from the berries, he flashed the newly arrived mare a charming smile, taking her words in stride without so much as a start of surprise. "Ah, were there a limited amount then I likely would, Chica; but savoring is all relative, and considering how many berries I'm eating, well...I'm savoring."
Laughing, he tossed back his curled mane, gesturing with a wing at the surrounding berry bushes. "But don't let me convince you I'm eating them all, Chica; there are more than enough berries for you to enjoy, if such is your inclination. And while I admit to being ravenous at the moment, that extends only to the berries." This with a conspiratorial wink at the mare, just in case she had an ideas.

Wings huh? That was a new one even she'd heard things about them before. "I would still call this patch limited if you take into account how large the world is and how small this is in comparison." She leaned down and nipped a mouthful off the bush.
She munched on them as she thought about the rest of his words. Did he just? He had. Snickering she swallowed the berries and grinned at him. "Were you that sort of ravenous i'm afraid you'd find yourself still starving and watching your meal disappear over the horizon."
She could deal without that thanks very much. Nuka might have tied himself down but she wasn't going to let her self get that way. There was too much to see and do to bother with taking care of a family.

"Ah, but I have complete confidence in the abilities of this particular patch to provide for my needs without me having to limit myself, and I can then rest easy in the knowledge that it can replenish its stock before being ravaged again. Besides, there are many more foodsources than this one patch, so...all is good with the situation."
Well, almost. Though he was expecting the mare to make some sort of tease back at him, he hadn't been expecting her to go out and deny THAT. For once, he hadn't even been referencing sex, merely saying that he wasn't so hungry he'd try to eat another Soquili...but for one dealing with him, that was still rather shrewd and he acknowledged that by bursting into laughter.
"So, I'd have lost my meal already? Without it even determining whether or not being a meal might be enjoyable? Such stoutness, such upfront denial! Tell me, Chica, do you always make such comments before even introducing yourself?" This with a final chuckle as he finished with his own berries and looked over at the mare. "Either way...tis a most interesting way to get into a conversation!"

"And why should i not make such comments before introducing myself hum? After all if you are just after the latter half of my body what use is it for me to introduce myself when more often than not you're not even going to remember my name?" She laughed herself as she grinned playfully at him.
Nipping a few berries off the bush she flicked her tail slightly to untangle it from the branches. "Now, if you've got other things on your mind, which it seems you do, them maybe i can be persuaded to part company with my name."
She'd perfected, or close to it, the art of playing games with her brother. He was a very tricky stallion when he put his mind to it after all. This one was just fun in a completely different way. A good laugh and some pleasant company would do her some good after her 'family greeting'.

Ah, this meeting had barely started, and Guilian was already enjoying himself. It wasn't that often that he got to start a meeting off with a bit of banter provoked by the mare, but when it did...well, then he had to take advantage!
Consequently, he didn't drop a beat in replying to the mysterious mare. An impish sparkle in his dark eyes undercut a look of supreme innocence on his lips as he tossed back, "Ah, but who is to say that it isn't possible to be interested in BOTH of your halves, Chica? While I can understand the frustration and futility that must come from only having interest in your posterior, I assure you that to disregard it completely is as much a disservice to it as interest in it at the expense of your mind would be to the mind."
With that, he lipped at another berry, his straight face curving into his usual roguish grin as he looked over at the mare. "But just for conversation's sake, what WOULD persuade you to part with your name, Chica?"

She licked a bit of berry juice off her muzzle and grinned. "You could say please?" Mother always said you should say please and thank you, or something like that.
"It is entirely possible to be interested in both my halves but since you've known me for only a matter of minuets i wouldn't put a bet on that one. Feelings created in the spur of the moment are as fleeting as the clouds in the sky." She tossed her head before she shifted her weight slightly.
It was nice for once to have a stallion actually laugh at her games and play along than just blow past it. Generally they just told her she was wasting her time and she should just give into them because they were strong. This one seemed uninterested in anything more than some amusing banter and that was absolutely wonderful.

"Please? You are so uncreative Chica, but if such is your wish...would you PLEASE tell me your name?" Grinning, Antony stepped back from the bushes, brushing back his forelock with the tip of one wing. "Or else I suppose I could just continue calling you Chica..."
Not that he really minded one way or the other; if mares didn't feel like revealing their names, he could cooperate with that. Not that he wouldn't at least make an ATTEMPT first...
Though this mare seemed quite determined that there be no attempts of any other sort, a fact definitely fraught with amusement potential. The lips say no-no, but the intent say yes-yes? Too early to tell at the moment, but either way, he was good with this. "Unless those feelings are of the tenacious sort, which is entirely plausible in the right circumstances. Or are you telling me you don't think it's possible to admire another's physique right off the bat and then still like that individual after getting to know them? If so, you are certainly a resiliant mare, Chica!" Not that he would ever be able to be that sort of individual himself!

"That's a good boy." She snickered at him and bowed her head slightly. "Nanala would be my name, but you can keep calling me Chica if you want." She didn't mind after all. It was better than girl or lady or something equally cliche.
"I said nothing about feelings developing after time. I said it wasn't likely for one to admire physique and mind upon the first meeting. The problems lies in most stallions desire to admire, to be polite, a mare's physique without ever bothering to deal with the rest of her. After all, how would you feel if every mare you met wanted only for you to consent to her demands for your genes in her foals and cared nothing for who you were?"

As Nanala bowed, Guilian did so as well, sweeping back his wings in a suitably dramatic fashion. "In my case...it will probably both, Nanala-Chica; I can't seem to dissociate the one from the other." At least she didn't mind being called 'chica' like some other mares did, for reasons unfathomable.
Another point in her favor, even if she WAS a bit of a cynic. Or a tease. Or both, for all her knew at this point. Either way...
Her example caused a bit of a grin to crop up on his face, however, and he was able to answer with all honesty, "It depends on the time and method of the begetting, Chica. The world can always do with more handsome children, and I am fond of kids. That said, I understand that not everyone has the same opinions I do, but that just makes things more interesting, no?"
Winking at her, he straightened up, then paused for a second before laughing at his own forgetfulness. "And on a related note, my name is Guilian, Chica, and it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Find a pretty mare and hopes she has a good mind to go along with those curves?" She laughed as she shook her head. Leaning down she nipped another mouthful of berries off the bushes. Most boys didn't stick around long enough to get to know anything. They just wanted a little fun and far be it from you to disagree. Or at least those at home were like that so far it seemed the ones out here were different and she was going to love that.
"Well Guillian. Are you after my curves or just my cute little brain, hum?" She smirked at him and it was oblivious she was just easing. Either he was a horribly smooth talker or he was just having fun like she was. She was going to hope it was the former.

Adopting an aggreived expression, Guilian shook his head at the mare. "Again with the either/or, Chica! I swear, it is like you are determined to deny half of yourself, or half of me, or the possibility of one of those potentials. And THAT is simply unnecessary."
Grinning, Guilian took a gamble on the mare's continued amusement at the situation and stepped closer; however, given the smirk she herself was wearing, he was at least somewhat assured that she wasn't planning on bolting. And in the meantime, conversations were easier to conduct when one was close at hand to one's conversation partner!
"Considering that at the moment I am talking to you and not trying to mount you, I'd say that right now, the mind has taken the fore. You are a most entertaining conversationalist, Nanala-Chica. However, in all honesty I can't make any promises concerning anything so...let's leave the subject at me being after you in general for now and call it good?"
Perhaps a bit scandalous, but that was just the way she was. Besides, there was something about this conversation that made him just want to tease...perhaps the fact that he COULD. Coming off of a recent string of soft-hoofing, being able to tease and be teased was a nice change of pace!

She laughed at his comments about her denying something and being after her. "Since you haven't fled in despair over my unnecessary words i'd have to say you've got it in you to be after me. Not sure if i'd call that good or not though." She winked at him and lipped up another berry or two as he moved closer.
"I'll just have to make sure to keep you on your toes." Long as he was distracted by words he couldn't try anything funny. Even if the banter was wonderful she didn't need any strings like that attached. "Keep you distracted by my cute little brain and away from my cute little behind. I like you better where i can see you after all."
