What'd everyone think of the anime ending? I watched it RAW because stupid VIZ put a cease and desist order to all fansubbers but that's another story.
Anyway all up until Mikami stabbed himself I was able to follow most of the dialog but then everything got weird. I didn't really like it but I still laughed at his craziness. (or did I cower in fear...)
Anyway what did YOU think?

I found it subbed on veoh.com!
It was so sad! And it didn't explain much. It never explained if they found Light's body, or if Misa really did kill herself (She was at the edge of a birdge and then it cuts to another scene.) Well, that's why I wanna get How to read: Volume 13.

I thought it was good.
FAVE parts:
- Mikami bug eyed, teary, face closeup when Light is bleeding on the floor
(you wanna scare kids? show them that)
- When Near squeezes the little Kira doll and it makes a squelch and there is a close up on faces. Made me think of someone passing gas, and everyone trying to figure out who it was.
-Near's "shocked" face when Mogi tells him NO! (awesome)
It's different from the manga because in the manga Light does not runaway (And he talks way more in my opinion not that that's a good thing), they do not say Misa kills herself, Mikami does not kill himself until he is in jail, and Ryuuk says what he says out loud while in the warehouse(?) and takes Light's life there.
I just wanted to say that. Anyway...

When Matsuda shot him I was like, excuse my language, "******** YEAH, MATSUDA!" domokun
I kind of wanted to see Misa jump though. xD

Heheh, out of all the misery and woe....
Mikami's death scene was once again EPIC AS HELL. He like, EXPLODED! @_@
Did he still have himself a pen while he was handcuffed, or did he use the handcuffs and/or chains to stab himself?
But...that sure was a lot of blood. xD
 And yes, I totally was rooting for Matsuda while he shot Light. I'm like "WOOOOOO!!!!!! =DDDD YOU DIDN'T FAIL THIS TIME, MATSUDA!!!"

I was so sad.
And listening to the Third Soundtrack just depressed me even more.
All in all, I have to say that the anime ending was better than the manga one. SPOILERS: Like, instead of Ryuk telling him, 'oh hey, I wrote your name down', and Light crying like a sissy, he died semi-peacefully on a stairwell. I completely lost it during that scene. I swear, I cried harder than I have in years. When L came into it, I knew I had completely lost it.

It was amazing. Light didn't act like the total psychotic idiot he was in the manga, and I actually cried for him when he died. And seeing L... I was like OMG xd HOW CUUUUUUTE~
Matsuda kicked asssssss heart I was like GO MATSUDA WHOOO! whee

I actually felt sympathy for Light when he died. But afterwards I was crazy after the episode and had to take a nap before I went insane. (It's true and don't ask why because I don't know either)
But when Matsuda shot him I was all OMFGROFLAEWSOMEBEANS!

I've got mixed thoughts. First off, I think the panicked acting by Mikami, Matsuda, and especially Light was the most amazing voicework I've ever heard in a cartoon. The exchange between Matsuda and Light about Souichiro was brilliant. Furthermore, Mikami's suicide caught me totally off guard, and I'm pretty sure I woke up everyone in my house by yelling "WHAT THE ******** said, though, the finale after Light fled the building just didn't affect me. Tearjerkers seldom do... I preferred the dramatic, maybe-he's-still-got-a-chance turn of events when Light appeals to Ryuk, and I enjoyed seeing him freak once he realizes he's going to die, rolling around on the ground and cursing himself for not being able to do anything about it. While I realize it was intended to be this way, I didn't like how they made it obvious that Ryuk was going to write his name down. The flashbacks didn't really seem to have the purpose they did in the comic, didn't really show Light's progression from kid genius to mass murderer. And I realize it made people more sympathetic towards Light to see him pass away peacefully on the stairwell, not realizing his name had been written down, but I think the comic's "Oh, ********" approach fit the series a bit better.

Mikami, although he's one of my favourite characters, ******** SCARED ME. XD I can't wait to read the manga ending, it sounds more appealing than stabbing himself with a fountain pen. xD
I was also really happy when Near mentioned that it was all down to Mello, and that together they surpassed L. D: I liked Mello more than Near, so. Pff.
The actual scenes where Light died and everything were just, wow. I've pretty much always sympathised with him and what he was doing anyway, but that was just effin' sad.
And Matsuda just made it awesome. <3

I wanna cry.. I know what will happen but it still upsets me.. crying The sound effects were like Disney.. @_@ I don't like it.. I want Raito to plead more.. "Ryuk! Kill them!! Achblahblahblah! I found it really amazing because the drawing, pose and the face is very similar with the manga! heart
I loved the part where Raito laughed. Crazy.. Sounded a lot like Tamaki. (Ouran High School Host Club) Weird.. I can't believe only one person dubbed those two.
