It has been some time since he had encountered the friendly wolf called Jaxom. He had protected him and hunted with him. But his heart prevented his presence in the stranger's. It was shortly after that he had met another wolf that went by the name Zac. They too hunted and for once, he fought his heart to try to stay close... but that could not happen. He awoke in the early morn and his companion was gone from his side. Did his heart hate him so? A loner, lost from his pack, lost in the North, alone. It was said that a lone wolf was a dead wolf. Hoping it was not true, he pushed on through the snowy forest slowly.
Ehrek had been alone for far too long and his heart ached for a friend, but it was the very same thing that prevented him from getting too close to anyone he found a good friend in. His charcoal fur with it's dark blue hue stood out like a black bear in the Artic. Fur matted under a thin blanket of snow, freshly fallen from the sky above. Paws moved with heavy, exhausted steps to the next place where he would find a decent shelter and perhaps some food. Lately, he was not against scavaging to survive-no, it was his only mean to without any other help. He was growing thin, he was skin, bone, and muscle but he looked line of malnutrion. The wolf's throat felt dry even in this region as the water was frozen over and he was far too over to bend down and eat snow for his liquid.
He was a wreck, a lost wolf in need to be found.

Camille was, as always, forward, abrasive, and inexplicably happy. She was flying on over the unusual ground like a rocket and for no real reason. Running had always been one of her preferred exercises, an escape from the world that turned around her. With her legs moving until they seared, nothing else mattered. Maw parted and tongue lolling out to one side as she raced over squishy fresh powder. Nothing could stop her. She was a powerhouse of lean muscle. Camille closed her eyes and felt the crisp air move through her fur, chill her skin --- She felt herself slam into something bony and go tumbling nose over tail. With a surprised yelp, the purple striped female skidded to a halt on her side and quickly scrambled to her feet, wide eyes searching just a short time before noting the wolf that she -really- should have caught sight of from a distance, but did not. Almost immediately regaining composure, she marched right up to the skeletal looking male, tail up slightly and bristled. "What do you think you're doing in the middle of somebody's path like that?" Her tone was one of a half joke, half serious strike. "And so skinny too." Camille whuffed and made to prod Ehrek in the side with her muzzle, to emphasize her observation. Ratty coat, thin and lanky, it was like he couldn't take care of himself at all. What good was that? Didn't he know this was the time of year to raid nests and things for little creatures that couldn't get away? She wrinkled her nose and tilted her head, uncertain. "You look like death warmed over. At least smile, then I won't be so tempted to bury you."

Ehrek flinched for a moment at the new presence of this other wolf. This region seemed almost teeming with them. His tail fell a bit as he almost cowered at her. It was definitly a first encounter and thus did not know much to expect. He paused for a moment for a long while, looking at the newcomer with soulful, yellow eyes. In that moment, he had collected himself and tried his best to seem more threatening and with that, smiled.
"Well, I didn't think I would see anyone out here in the middle of the woods," he spoke softly. Stretching out his limbs light with a quick pop in some places, he regained himself and smiled again. "As for my thinness, it is because I have not been able to catch much of anything lately." He did not need to say too mcuh more.
Ehrek looked at her with a curious face. "So what brings you out here then? Could I ask your name at least? At least let this bag of bones know that much." he chuckled off the last bit.

Camille rolled her eyes and sat down heavily with a sigh, her ears splaying out to the side in an overexaggerated pose of frustration. For as intelligent and articulate as she was, she could be a real childish pain in the a**. "Well where should I live, under the ocean?" the female retorted, lips drawing slowly into a sly grin. "Or on the tops of trees, with the birds perhaps?"
She could see that he hadn't had much luck catching anything lately - he looked damn near dead as far as she was concerned. Which was a shame, because he might have been cute if he wasn't so.. sickly looking to her. "Maybe you should take up being a vegetarian. You might have better luck with it." Camille laughed, ears tipping back with the motion. A vegeterian wolf, wouldn't that just be the day.
"I go wherever I please, and I'm here only because I want to be." Proudly she puffed out her chest a little, secure in the fact that she had the freedom to do whatever she chose. Not like those pack wolves and their 'family bonds' (Even if she secretly wanted to be part of one). "Camille." She shrugged off his request for her name like a professional stoic, not really seeing the point in a formal introduction since it was likely she'd take off and never cross paths with him again. That was how Camille worked after all, here with her bright and cheery forwardness, and then gone the next second on those lean, powerful legs. "Why do you ask?"

"If you lived in the ocean, then you would be able to catch lots of fish," he chuckled a bit as he rose to his feet. He lowered his head a bit to seem more harmless, actually it seemed more childish than anything. He was still young himself. "And if you lived up in the trees..." he looked up toward the tree tops, thin branches with the buds and leaves starting to grow out a bit as the soft snow fell from the sky above in the open whiteness of the sky. "You could catch all sorts of things." he chuckled a bit and smiled.
He was the sort that was self-reliant but was not afraid to take help or offer it. He would jump at the chance if it meant optimal foraging for himself. He could sense glanced upon him like a vulture who was late to a kill, not worth a second glance. "I have tried berries before and I admit they tasted rather good, however the results were not so," he responded. He had tried it once when he was only a put down South. The pack was having some dificulty catching some things and he took it upon himself to help out a bit. He brought back a decent amount of these red berries. Needless to say many were not very happy with him later that day. Even now he had difficulty catching some things, perhaps it was that time of season where the animals were just coming out of their hibernation and it was just time to go out to gather up the food they had buried the months before. As for him, he would have to wait just a bit longer. "Besides, eating no meat is a desperate attempt to survive. I, for one, am not prepared to take that measure just yet." A vegetarian wolf, now that would be the day he sees squirrels fly.
"Ah, a free wolf, huh? Well, Camille, I hope at least you will do better than I can during this time of year," he smiled again, his tail flicking a bit. "Name's Ehrek. I just thought I should at least know a name of a female who decides to mock a sickly one such as myself to find her one day again when he is feel better." Ehrek had the feeling that it was gonna be soon that he would run into her again, perhaps a week or maybe in two full moons. He did not know when he will meet her again, but he knew one day he would.
