Yay! I love this series! If you want to know what it's like, imagine Zone of the Enders gameplay with Super Robot Wars' makers behind it. They've just announced the third and (sadly) final game in the series, but it looks quite impressive so far, with 18 anime (about half new and half returning), all of which will get vocal BGMs in battle. Seeing Eureka Seven on that list resulted in the most exuberant fist pumping I think I've ever witnessed. I will find a way to play this game.

Since this is the last game in the series, I'm hoping we'll actually get it this time around.

The first two weren't, and it's got franchises in it that haven't become popular in the US. Probably won't be brought over for the same reasons that the non-OG SRW games haven't - too many relatively unknown shows and franchises.
That said, It's one of the only games I'd ever consider importing - if you don't mind messing around with your PS2 and you don't mind the fact that it's all Japanese, you can certainly pay it if you're willing to spend a bit extra.

Yeah, all my E7-loving friends were saying that the game absolutely needed the Devilfish.
Me, I'm just waiting on them to announce new units for existing series. I will probably have a heart attack and die if they announce Noin's Taurus...
