Alternate Realities
The existance of alternate realities and parallel universes is something that has long been debated, and continues to be so. The prevailing idea on the side of those that do believe, is that there are an infinite number of universes; for every decision you make, there is a universe where you decided something different.
So, it goes without saying that far enough back, there might even be universes whom had something go differently in their creation - and the end result would be a vastly different place, where even the 'laws' of the universe - of physics - could be very different.
The pieces of an alternate reality that have been found here are from one such universe. What exactly about it is different? No one can guess, really.
Except, perhaps, for Keyes.

Angel's Trumpet A simple, delicate looking flower. It rests gently during the day, and then opens up more to release a wonderful scent at night; it seems such an innocent thing.
Appearances, however, are deceiving.
The Angel's Trumpet is a beautiful flower, but it wouldn't be a good idea to try anything more then looking at it or smelling it. It's considered a highly poisonous flower - yet some people are willing to risk that for the hallucinogenic symptom that goes along with that poisoning.
Attempting that it taking your life into your hands, however; the toxicity of the flower varies throughout it, and from flower-to-flower, so one can ever judge how poisonous an individual flower is. Make a mistake with this flower, and the results are quite often fatal.

Keyes
under construction
Name: Keyes Guardian: Gender: Male Soul: Angel's Trumpet [datura innoxia] Fel Essence: Piece of an Alternate Reality Hair - Color: Style: Skin & Markings: Eyes: Clothes: Wings: Accessories Personality: Keyes is the sort of person that most people find very normal, at first. He's calm, easy-going, and seems very reasonable. He dresses a bit oddly, and seems fond of strange things, but an all-around good kid.
Then he start talking about the school of fish swimming around you, and the grumpy ape-like creature that sleeps in his closet.
That's when most people begin to realize that Keyes isn't entirely here. He sees things that others don't, and doesn't seem to care that you may not see them either, although he'll quite pleasantly inform you of them. And in truth, much of what he sees is not real by any definition of the word.
But then, some of it is real: the fel essence was a piece of an alternate reality, and at times he sees things in that reality. Since much of what he sees does actually seem to be hallucinations, however, what he sees tend to be disregarded. After all...how could anyone tell the difference between hallucinations and truth?
Once one gets past the calm, easy-going hallucinating side of Keyes, he tends to confuse people yet again. Rather then being interested in quiet pursuits, he loves being in loud - and dangerous - environments.
With no apparent understanding of the possibility of death or non-existance, he simply seems fascinated at whether he can pull things off or not. He's the sort of person to be pleasantly friendly with murderous sociopaths, get too close to dangerous creatures, or to risk his life simply out of plain old curiousity.
Nothing can deter him when he's curious about something. Pain, the possibility of death, punishment - nothing really seems to impact him. In fact, he seems oddly disconnected from reality.[under construction]

Just reserving this one, just in case.
And now...anyone have any suggestions, or critiques for my concept? It's still in the works, obviously, and Keyes personality might undergo some drastic changes. But I would like to hear what people think about it, so far heart
