"Are we there yet? Damn it, whats taking you so long to get us there?" she was shuffling her paws as she padded along, her tail swaying haphazardly, she wanted to see him so bad, but Rage, huh, she was going so slow, as if she was trying to hold on to everything she new for a bit longer.
Too bad...Backus was hers...
"Answer me!"
"Can you not even remember how long it takes to get there? Its away from everyone else, you should have remembered that much..." she said lowly, softly, she was tired, her heart ached from the emotional internal pain this whole thing was causing her. She was free, but why did she still feel confined by chains, by the light and dark?
"Just stay behind me, then when you can see him...do....do what you must..." she kept her eyes on the ground, she didn't want to see Ryu rush to him, she didn't want to let go, she didn't want to say good-bye. The emotional pain her heart would feel, was inevitable.
"Backus?...Backus, you here?"

With eyes half closed the dark male could be seen laying in the shade provided by a heavy tree. It wasn't a particulary hot day and the sun wasn't THAT overbearing, but still the blessed life giver was tinging against the male's black as night fur and so he sought to get out of the heat in every chance he got. He preferred the night more then everything else and so he would just wait here until the opportune time presented itself.
But, an ear perked forward.
His name, he heard his name.
Instantly he was on all fours. "Rage..? Is that you?"

Rage stepped out into the open, she glanced back, gave Ryu a stare, and Ryu nodded, she would wait, let Rage have this final good-bye, then Backus would be hers, all hers, and she could finally be free and happy with him and no longer have to share him ever again. "Yes and no..." she said in a whisper, ears falling back, tail falling low. She kept her head low, dropped her eyes to the ground and padded forward to him, stopping just before him, resting her head underneath his chin, one last time.
"Backus...I've always loved you, me, just me, the whole me...just...just remember that alright? Just remember that..." a few silent tears escaped the corners of her eyes as she stood there, not talking just letting the feel and warmth up Backus upon her neck last for a few more seconds until she pulled away. "I want you to be happy...the only way I can do that is if you are with who has always forever more loved you...thats me...but its not...you need to be happy Backus....you..."
Turning away Rage took a few steps and tred to the far side of the clearing, letting the tears fall over her cheeks. She felt like she was breaking in two, she felt like she couldn't breath...
A grin upon her maw Ryu then stepped out into the clearing, she gave Rage enough time, stepping forward Ryu swayed her tail, gave Backus a smile, loving, lustful, dark...hers, only hers. "Backus..." she spoke, in that familiar voice she had when in control of Rage, "I'm home...I'm free..."

Confusion was etched all over the black male's maw as he heard her reply. Yes and no? Whatever did that mean? He frowned, getting up fully and standing to his full height in stead of the half stance he had been previously. When he felt her chin underneath his own he half closed his eyes enjoying every moment spent with her.
But then it all came crashing down.
As soon as he heard the words somehow he knew it would be over. He knew it would all be taken from him. And then when her spoken words reached his perked ears he felt his chest harden painfully, more painful then his own heart malgnancy had bothered him off and on his whole scope of life.
"What...what are you saying," he finally managed, his tongue feeling dry and thick against the roof of his mouth. "Wait....wait..." he called as he saw just her back retreating.
No, no, NO! A thousand times no! This just couldn't be happening!
But then....
then he saw another. And once more he was pushed into a world of deep confusion.
"Who are you?" he said.
Though there was familiarity in his eyes.

Rage's ears pinned against her head as if she was in pain, and she was, her heart was aching terribly, and she couldn't take a deep breath, couldn't catch her breath. Why was she giving him up, giving everything up so easily? She wanted to turn around and say no, say no and stay with Backus, this hurt so much, ad she knew she had to go through it again, but with Cael. She felt like she was being cut in half, she wouldn't bring herself to turn around, her back was hunched forward and she kept her eyes closed, she couldn't turn around, she couldn't go back now...he'd probably hate her.
"Backus..." Ryu said, taking a step forward, tilting her head, swaying her tail, she gave a smirk and a smile at once, "Don't you remember?" she said with another step, having her eyes meet his, her eyes, it was all in her eyes. "Its me...don't you remember? Backus its me...I'm free now..."
She thought he'd remember...had she done somehting wrong?

At the step forward he took a step back. Who was this? Who WAS this? His mind was waging wars with itself as he tried to remember who this wolf was that was standing before him. He couldn't have known her, she didn't look like anyone he had ever met before and yet...things seemed so similar.
Rage.
It him then. She looked like Rage, so much so. But her pelt was a blood red. It made his eyes tinge and his mouth water. Bloodlust was a thing he had given up for Rage.
But because he loved her!
What was happening now?
He half closed his eyes once more as her words hit him and then lingered in his ears. That voice....yes, yes it DID come from Rage and briefly he wondered if this was the splitting she had meant. He felt a tugging in his chest and slowly but surely his maw turned into a wicked, wicked grin.
"I knew you," he suddenly sing songed.

Rage couldn't take being so close here anymore, she got up and whisked herself away from the area, she didn't wish to be around Backus, and have Ryu have him all to herself, she was jealous yes, but heartbroken as well, she felt like a part of her was dying painfully slow.
Ryu smirked, swayed her tail and made a circle around Backus, brushing her shoulder against his, her side against his, a grin on her maw, "Didja now?" she said low, sweet, devilish, stopping in front of him she brushed herself against his chest, her head beneath his chin like she had done many a time while in that black shell. "Should I reward you for knowing me?" she asked nipping at his neck gently, though there was a hint of unknowing, if she would n** too hard.
"Should I...Backus?"

Backus inhaled deeply, sharply. As if her sweet scent was filling his brain, clouding it, and making him see only what she wanted him to see. And such a thing was so very likely with how he was feeling now. The best word to describe it would be 'consumed', but even that gave it now real justice.
"Yes," he whispered before he half closed his eyes at the smallest touch.
But then, then she muttered the words the somewhere in the back of his mind he had longed to here. He slowly opened his duel colored orbs to their fullest and nodded slowly.
"Yes....yes....oh yes."
