Ok, we all have seen a movie that was a book, or read a book that was a movie. We can break this into a few catagories...
1. Movies based on books
2. Books based on movies (my personal least favorite)
3. Seeing a movie before you read the book...
4. Reading a book before you saw the movie...
So what is the best/worst book based movie you've ever seen?

I am pretty prepared for this question, as it is a constant topic at my house...
Favorite movie(s) from books are (obviously) The Harry Potter Books!!!
More specifically, I loved Prisoner of Azkaban the best (so far)
(Note: I'm willing to have a lengthy discussion on this one with anyone who would like to)
I also Loved The Da Vinci Code movie and book!!!
Least favorite movie from a book would have to be Eragon. If you put aside that the book even exsists it is a good movie, I actually really enjoy the movie. Comparing it to the book is horrible....so I won't!
Best Book based on a movie would have to be V for Vendetta.... It was not a book first... but probably could have been... I just love that movie, so I'll shut up....
Worst book based on a movie would probably have to be the XMen books based on the movies... I'm the dorky girl who read the comic books in the 80s and 90s before the movies came out, and watched the cartoons..lol..
Ok, I think I'm done for now... I'll definetly have more to say about these at another time..lol.. blaugh

The Best Movie Based on a book would probably be Holes. It follows the book really closely.
The Worst Movie Based on a book would be Eragon. THey cut so many important elements from the book i'm not sure how they'd be able to do a sequel at all.
The Middle...hmmmmm probably the HarryPotter Series. They've cut a lot of things out of the movies but they're still really good.
I've never Read any books based on movies so no comment on that.
I always read the book before i see the movie. Unless i'm unaware that the movie is based of a book.....

Best movie based on a book...no idea...there are quite a few good ones.
Worst movie based on a book would probably be Eragon, but that may very well be because the book was s**t to start with. And I know that people say it is crap because they cut important stuff, but I honestly don't think that would make a difference for me. Harry Potter is kinda on the same level except that the story was a little bit more interesting, and the movies are higher quality. Still pretty lame though.
Favorite book that has turned into a movie would probably be Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, though the newer movie wasn't as good as it could have been.
Favorite movie that was turned into a book? I don't actually read books based on movies cause all of them that I have read are s**t.
