The new diet pill craze, Alli, is not good for you. I havn't tried it, but I've heard people that have tried it tell me that all it is, is a laxative; and it's hard to hold in when you have to fart(lawl.) It would be just as easy to chug some ex-lax and go to the gym. So, please, don't do it.

Oh yeah, it infiltrated Walgreens and now you can't get away with not seeing stuff like "IT CAN'T CHANGE YOUR LIFE BUT YOU CAN!!!" Which is just some slick marketing slogan.

And actually, it is NOT a laxative. Laxatives break down your food for you to aid digestion. Alli, however, blocks the fat from your digestive system, making you leak orange goo reminiscent of spaghetti grease from where the sun don't shine.

And that's just the short-term effects. I'd hate to hear of the long-term effects...

Clearly, the guys who made this pill have yet to realize that fat in the body is not the same as fat in the diet and that fat is meant to be digested, not stain the seat of your pants.

Except in rare cases, you don't look good in those pants if said pants happen to be bulging with a fresh load.

I also found a more detailed rant on Alli: http://ed-bites.blogspot.com/2007/06/and-we-have-liftoff.html

It should be called "All-I-Want-To-Do-Is-s**t-My-Pants".

A very expensive laxative.
It sells for $60-70 at my local Kroger's.
Jeez.

Okwow.
That's ridiculous.

My mom actually tried this drug when it was prescription-only, and called Xenical. It didn't really work for her because she ate too healthily (not enough fat) for the product to work. I find that interesting. Maybe that's the point, though-people learn to eat less fat so they aren't constantly, um, leaking.
