(Couldn't think of a title D= sucks..If you wanna join in, please PM me your character sheet for approval! n.n)

Quite a bind, Marth was in, no pun. A guard had him on the ground, holding his arm behind his back, yelling at the young demon about stealing. Whenever Marth had relaxed his arm, it would only cause the guard to use more pressure.

"Dammit, I don't have any stolen jewels! I ain't a damn thief, I'm tellin' ya!" Marth winced when his arm was twisted a little more, pulled up to his feet, then kicked back down again.

"You may not 'ave 'em jewels now, boy, but if aye see yeh snoopin' around once more, I'll take yeh into tha dungeons me self!"

The young man stood up and brushed off his shirt, only to be knocked back down again, a fierce glare shot up at the guard. "The hell was that for??" This was only answered with the broad side of the guard's sword across Marth's face, leaving a red mark where it hit, a small cut from the tip.

"I ne'er said yeh can get up an' talk boy! Stay on the groun' like the dog yeh are!" With a last laugh, the man in armor finally disappeared into the streets among the crowds off to tend to his duties.

Marth stood up and rubbed his cheek, getting quite a few stares from people around him. "Stop staring..." He muttered under his breath, a small twitch in his eye. "Act like you've never seen something like that..." But they were staring at him because of the wound on his cheek, which ended up being a little more than just a tiny cut. He didn't feel the pain, only a numb sensation where it was.

((I'm butting in... smile ))

The screaming from the guards and the man they accused of being a thief was heard over the marketplace, and the ruccus caused a lot of attention. Murmurs and whispers blended with the yells of both guards and boy, and the salesmen trying to turn this event to something they could benefit from.

Lyre hated the marketplace. The crowd and sounds made her nervous and she often took refuge in the small streets an alleys near the townsquare. This day, she had ended up in the same small street as the young man and the guards, but on the opposite side. She had heard the whole conversation.

As the guards rushed past her without seeing her she waited a bit and then moved forward, a hand agains the wall. She herd the muttering from the young man, he was close. He corrected his clothing and brushed his hair out of his eyes. She rounded a pile of barrels and was now in his line of sight. She hesitated.

Marth glared at the girl with harsh crimson eyes, the blood from his cheek dripping down onto his shirt, staining it with the similar color. He didn't say anything, but he simply turned around and began walking down an alley, growling quietly to himself. "Damn guard...Lucky I don't know where his offspring and mate reside..." He muttered quietly once more as he slammed his fist into a stone wall, cracking it only a little.

He stopped and took a deep breath, shaking his head slowly. "I've gotta calm down, don't need to cause trouble I don't need..."

Even though he was muttering, Lyres keen hearing picked up every word. Only for a heartbeat she hesitated, the she boldly took a step forward.

"Sir?" she said with a gentle but secure voice. "Are you hurt?"

The moment the words left the lips she wondered if it had been a wise move. No matter now, the words were spoken and Lyre waited for a reply, if there was any to come. She waited, a hand lightly touching the rough stonewall, her back straight.

"No...Not at all..In fact..I always bleed from my cheek...Perfectly normal.." He muttered, looking back at the girl again, turning to face her. "What is it you want?" He hissed, placing his hand up to his cheek again, wincing slightly. "Healing too damn slow if you ask me..."

"If you needed medical treatment, maybe I could have helped you," Lyre said. "But if it's normal for you to bleed, then I apologize I disturbed you. Good day sir."

She started to walk towards him, aiming for the calm broad street on the other side of the small alley. Her fingers followed the wall as she walked. She was in no hurry.

A forgotten helmet left by the guards lay on the ground, it's metal details glimmering in the sun. Lyre had barely passed the young man when she knocked the helmet over with her fott, and it rolled away to place itself under the other foot as she set it down to regain her balance. Her hand left the wall as she with a surprised gasp fell.

He turned quickly, catching her with a small sigh, looking down at the young woman. "Something tells me...You're going to be trouble for me..." He told her, looking down at the helmet with a small smirk. He helped her back up before picking the helmet up, examining it carefully. "Ohh...So many things I could do..."

Lyre regained her balance, whincing a bit as she set her left foot down.

Ow... she thought. My ankle...

"I thank you for your help, sir," she said, brushing imaginary dirt off of her white dress. She heard him picking the helmet up, but didn't pay any attention to him. She reached her hand out to the wall when she suddenly heard his last words. She froze, suddenly afraid. The things he could do? With... her?

She wanted to run away from there, but she knew the dangers of panicking. She kept her head cool, but she could not stop her breathihg from increasing. She turned her head towards him and placed her unseeing bright purple eyes on the spot she had heard him be.

"Don't get any ideas, mister," she said.

"Hm? What are you talk.." He noticed a small white tint in her purple eyes, frowning a bit. "Oh...Goodness...I...had no idea you were blind dear...You could've said something...I eh...My apologies..." He said, walking over to her, taking her hand to show her where he was, kneeling down slowly. "...Let me look at your foot..."

Lyre did not react as his whole personality seemed to change in an instant. She didn't know wether to sigh or smile; she was used to this.

His touch felt gentle, with no sign of the earlier agression. As he carefully examined her sore ankle she listened to his breathing, trying to filter the sounds from the sorroundings out. She gritted her teeth together and the smallest of frowns curved her eyebrows.

He shook his head, picking her up slowly. "You need to stay off your foot for a while..I'll be more than happy to escort you to a nearby inn if you wish...You just twisted it and got it a little swollen...Nothing big though...And eh...Sorry about my behavior...You just happened to catch me at a bad time...And..Er..I should probably shut my mouth, and get to the inn, huh?" He chuckled quietly, starting to walk slowly.

Lyre couldn't hold back a smile. He was so embarassed he cattered like a monkey.

"It's alright, sir," she said. "I can understand you were a bit upset after how the guards treated you. Anyone would be in that situation."

She found herself in being carried. In fact, that was something she was used to. Although she was around the avarage height of young women in her age, she had a small frame and was very slender, almost to the point of being thin, so she didn't weigh very much.

"You're new in town, aren't you?" she asked when he had carried her a bit.

"Yeah...I just got here this morning...I thought I'd be happy to see a town I could rest in...So far...It's kinda not too great for me...As you can tell, heh..." He yawned quietly into his shoulder, looking around slowly. "Hm..Well...This is embarrassing...I think I'm lost..." He walked around, asking a few people for some help, often being lead into the wrong direction, or ending up back where he was. "Do you know where it is, er...I...Don't even know your name..." He blushed, feeling a little more embarrassed now.

She smiled again.

"My name is Lyre Zu'Tara." The moment she said it she regretted it. The Zu'Tara family was the richest in the city, perhaps even the country, and there had been a noumerous attempts to kidnap the only child of the family, one which had been succesful. After that incident, she had grown very careful, and she didn't tell her last name to just anybody. And yet, she had let it slip.

What's done is done, she thought. If he decides to run off with me... well, that's a later problem.

To cover her little blunder she turned her face away and took in the scent on the city.

"Close to the big oak tree in the eastern square there is a very nice inn called The Gray Goose," she informed the young man carrying her. "And you didn't tell me your name, sir," she reminded him with a small smile on her lips.
