Sources in the Fayette County Police Department are now working under the theory that Chris Benoit killed Nancy on Saturday, son Daniel on Sunday, and then killed himself earlier today.
Benoit was found dead in his weight room. Nancy was found dead in the living room. Daniel was found dead in his bedroom, accordig t an unnamed source in the department.
Lt. Tommy Pope told ABC News "the instruments of death were located on the scene," but didn't specify what those were or where they were found. Pope said the department was not actively searching for any suspects outside the house.

My suspicions based on the article below:
Inspection of the home for toxins and the autopsy reports will probably take priority in the investigation.
More details from Wiki:
On June 25, 2007, Benoit and his family were found dead in their home in Atlanta. It was first reported to fans of the WWE via WWE Mobile. There are no exact details are known about this death at this time. [1] Through their website, World Wrestling Entertainment also released the following statement[82]:
"World Wrestling Entertainment is deeply saddened to report that today Chris Benoit and his family were found dead in their home. There are no further details at this time, other than the Benoit family residence is currently being investigated by local authorities. Tonight’s Raw on USA Network will serve as a tribute to Chris Benoit and his family. WWE extends its sincerest thoughts and prayers to the Benoit family’s relatives and loved ones in this time of tragedy."
WWE cancelled the scheduled live Raw show scheduled for June 25, and was replaced by a pre-recorded tribute to Benoit in its place.[6]
Fayette County, Georgia police are investigating Benoit's house following the discovery of the bodies, and no details have been released other than to announce that Benoit was not shot to death.[83]

This can't be true... really. This can't be ******** real.
They said he wasn't shot, but that doesn't rule out foul play. Is it bad that all I can think of is jealous ex-husband?

I just got home from work, so my thanks to the person who posted this quickly.
I have nothing to say about this. Having watched him from the very beginning of his career, i'm having trouble forming coherent thoughts. I can only encourage a moment of prayer for his remaining family.

Each time, like eveyone, I've seen him since teh beginning, and quite frankly it hurts, it hurts so hard that I'm sobbing as I type, and at the same time, I was extremely shocked, that he and his family have died, I thought, feel free to call me ignorant, was another, stupid WWE hoax, but.. this wasn't a hoax or an event, And... this is a sad day for WWE, losing such a great athlete and a great person.

from WWE.com
It has been ruled that the deaths of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their son Daniel earlier today were the result of a double murder-suicide from within the home. WWE.com will have more as soon as it becomes available.

from Associated Press
FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. - WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife, and son were found dead Monday and police said they were investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.
Detective Bo Turner told television station WAGA that the case was being treated as a murder-suicide, but said that couldn't be confirmed until evidence was examined by a crime lab.
The station said that investigators believe the 40-year-old Benoit killed his wife, Nancy, and 7-year-old son, Daniel, over the weekend, then himself on Monday. A neighbor called police, and the bodies were found in three rooms.
Lead investigator Lt. Tommy Pope, of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, told The Associated Press the deaths were being investigated as homicide, and that the causes of death awaited autopsy results on Tuesday. Pope said the bodies were discovered about 2:30 p.m., but refused to release details.
The house is in a secluded neighborhood set back about 60 yards off a gravel road, surrounded by stacked stone wall and a double-iron gate. On Monday night, the house was dark except for a few outside lights. There was a police car in front, along with two uniformed officers.
Benoit was a former world heavyweight and Intercontinental champion. He also held several tag-team titles during his career.
"WWE extends its sincerest thoughts and prayers to the Benoit family's relatives and loved ones in this time of tragedy," the federation said in a statement on its Web site.
Benoit was scheduled to perform at the "Vengeance" pay-per-view event Sunday night in Houston, but was replaced at the last minute because of what announcer Jim Ross called "personal reasons."
The native of Canada maintained a home in metro Atlanta from the time he wrestled for the defunct World Championship Wrestling.
The WWE canceled its live "Monday Night RAW" card in Corpus Christi, Texas, and USA Network aired a three-hour tribute to Benoit in place of the scheduled wrestling telecast.
"My relationship with Chris has extended many years and I consider him a great friend," Carl DeMarco, the president of WWE Canada, said in a statement. "Chris was always first-class — warm, friendly, caring and professional one of the best in our business."

My thoughts are as follows: Why would Chris kill his wife and son? Why weren't his other children figured into the equation? Was Chris drunk when he did it so afterward he felt guilty and killed himself? If the press is hiding all these details, then what's really going on? This is just reminding me of Mr. McMahon's demise a little too much. I know Vince is Alive. And Chris is dead. But it's just so oddly familiar in plot. Except for a few differences.
Similarites: Immidieate saying that he died. Hush hush about the details. Immidiate cause of death usally hidden for a few days Didn't Mr. McMahon go crazy when he lost his championship? In recent weeks, Benoit has been acting a little strange in the ring. So what really happened?
One can only know. I propose this to you as my theory. Not as a conclusive idea. I don't even know if this is true really.... It's just my thinking. o.o

Look, i'm going to try to be as polite as i can about your statement. Speculation is only going to be pointless at this moment. I'll try to keep that in mind as i ponder the lack of intelligence you just showed. To even possibly entertain the thought that this could be story, or that the WWE is manipulating events for their own gain only shows how ignorant you are of the wrestling world.
I apologize to you if you're offended, and to anyone else as well. But that really steams me. You'll notice, by the way, that all, and i mean ALL, storyline was completely thrown out the window tonight. Keep that in mind the next time you decide to speculate on things.
