There have been cartoons made based off of video games, and many games made based off of popular cartoons. There quality differs from show to show, but all are receaved well because of it's original media.....
At least for the generation that grew up with them.
What game based shows or show based games can you think of?

there was also a Super Mario one
and I think I've heard of one for Metroid, but it might have been only japanese.
Also, Nintendo made one for all of there games. It was called Captain N.

Digimon kinda counts. It was based off of a little digital pet.
