There was nothing fancy about this. Two men go into the pit, and possibly only one man may come out. This was the kind of fight you'd only see in the underground; no holds bars, anything goes, and there can only be one winner.

Kichiro had his katana in a sheath at his left side, the sheathe in a sash as required by the 3' blade with the extra nine inches for the hilt.

"You are always dropping me." Kichiro looked at Crawley with a cocked brow, unsheathing his katana. His right hand was closest to the handgaurd, with the left beneath it. The tip was out to his right and down, while his elbows were brought beside the left of his head.

The blade started in a diagonal cross block, with hands upside down slightly.

"Maybe I stand a chance with a weapon." Kichiro said sarcastically.

Kichiro's left foot slid behind the right as Crawely began to advance, diagonal to the outside while he bent his knee slightly. His right foot extended, and allowed him balance with many a motion with his sword.

At nearing six and a half feet, Kichiro would thrust his sword out to the right with elbows unbending, the katana tip fast in acceleration, and then his left hand would pull hard to the right. The tip of the katana would come in at a slice at Crawley's hands if he continued to advance.

As the katana would be made to come to the outside of Kichiro's left from the opening horizontal slash, it'd come around in a tight semi-circle, and down towards Crawley's legs (going from his right shin to left shin on the curve of the katana). Superficial wounds if it was at the tips of his blades, but if Crawley meant to continue his advance, he'd be getting his legs sweeped from underneath him by means of a blade.

As Kichiro did the low sweep with his blade, he'd be circling out to the right.

Kichiro had a reach of a little past six foot with that blade, in his stance, even more so as he could thrust forward without over extension, and he'd keep at least six foot of rang between them as long as he could help it.

Crawley would be coming to where Kichiro was, leaping six feet, and giving ample time during his circling out to the right, to bring his blade snaping back up in a cross body block down into a slash if Crawley's foot would cross the distance.

This was done by sliding his left foot to the right and rotating his hips counterclockwise, while snapping his elbows back up to the left of his head when Crawley took off for his leap. The curve of the blade would be waiting for Crawley's foot as it came towards Kichiro's torso, being faster to raise his hands less than two feet than for a leaping kick to raise three feet and cross six.

But as Crawley was spinning off balance and forcing himself back, he'd probably stay out of range from having his foot cut off, but if he got within six feet, that blade would be lobbing off his foot.

Kichiro would then be waiting for Crawley to land, to strike next. With his blade covering from high left to lower right.

So Crawley kicked Kichiro's sword, cutting his foot on it, instead of having it slashed off.

He could pull his arms two feet before Crawly covered three feet, with his leg still having to raise as well. And with him pulling his entire body against gravity, as opposed to Kichiro's two hands and thin blade, he might not have gotten the blade up in time to slash, but it'd definetly be up in the cross body block.

The Chimagin would take a step back, not having had to had slash, only having enough time to bring his hands back to the side of his head. Not to mention, he'd been circling out, not circling in.

So with Crawley going foward and Kichiro going to the right, the best possible result for Crawley was that he landed to the left of Kichiro having missed the kick.

At which point, Kichiro would then slash to the left into Crawley's right side while hopping back a few feet.

Match end.
