I'm not very good at introducing myself, but here goes:
My name is Karen,
I'm a nurse in real life. I work everything from Emergency room and ICU to open heart surgery and plain old med/surg.
I adore science in any form, and believe that knowledge is truly power.
I have met many "educated" people who are fools, and many "uneducated" people who are brilliant. The biggest difference is knowing when to ask questions.
After spending the last few hours reading your forums, I want to say that I am honored to be invited. heart
Although I have studied (and still do) Geology, Astronomy, Physics, Paleontology, Biology, Microbiology, computer science, Anatomy and Physiology, my best topics are those of a medical nature.
Oh, and once I get going, I talk too much! so just tell me to hush! biggrin

We are the one's honored to have you here!
What a brave job you do as a nurse. I don't think I could do anything medical related, but I sure appreciate anyone who does.
My mom's a nurse...although she's more of a caretaker.
I'm Emily, but most of my freinds online know me as Catz.
I look foward to chating with ya in the guild, I do hope you enjoy it here!

(And nurses (or people) that are more "caretakers" are some of the most important people there are! They do a job many "regular nurses" (or people) cannot! Give your mom a hug when you see her!)

I have been a little preoccupied by real life, but otherwise I can't seem to think of anything inparticular to respond in the threads.....There will however be a Surprise in my Geology thread soon though.
