It's another one of those again!
What was the first anime you saw? How long ago was it? And how long was it after that before you became a true fan?

my first anime was Iria: The Zerim Animation.
it was in about 1992.
I didn't become a true fan untill I watched Card Captors Sakura on KidsWB. That was about 3 years later, I think.

mmmm. I'm not sure if it was Dragon Ball, or Sailor Moon. I do remember watching Dragon Ball as a little girl, perhaps around ten or less years ago.
I would watch it, but i didn't become so determined to watch that series until Dragon Ball Z, when i would wake up at 4 in the morning jsut to watch it, and then go back to sleep.

My first anime was Sailor moon...199?...or Pokemon...I don't really remeber which once came first?

I'd probably watch more anime, if I did have cable...but I don't.

and I'm too poor to just go out and buy the series.

maybe sometime I'll get cable..

most anime on cable just sucks, unless you special order one of the anime only channels.

The first one I saw was Gundam Wing on CN, but I didn't like it. Probably because my friend Caitlin was the only reason I watched it, and I saw an episode from like the middle of the series so I had no idea what was going on.
The first anime I saw and liked was Pokemon (who didn't as a kid?). I think I was in fourth grade at the time.

Hmmm....My first anime was....Sailor Moon....my Second was Cardcaptors (Jap name: Cardcaptor Sakura)....SM was in about....1999 I think....CS was in....when was it on Teletoon in Canada? Oh well, whenever tht was was when I started watching it.

First anime...? The first that I can remember of is Ayashi no Ceres in AXN when I was on 1st or 2nd grade? That time, I didn't even know what anime was... rofl

I watched my first anime when I was realy little. To be honest I had no dea that it was japanese animation and I don't think I did care at the moment. If I remember correctly it was "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind".
But the real hit (meaning the beginning of me watching consciously anime) came to me two years ago when I watched the "Rurouni Kenshin" series and OVAs.
