What would you feel,
If you found out you were never supposed to exist?
You were a mistake. You weren't supposed to be. You were a life never to be. You were unplanned, Unwanted.?
Just wondering your thoughts if you found this out.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the topic was this quote by Richard Dawkins:
"We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will, in fact, never see the light of day, outnumber the sand grains of Arabia. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keat, scientists greater than Newton...In the teeth of these stupefying odds, it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here."

I'd feel pretty damn happy, I'd say. "Screw you, world! I live! I exist! And that's my stand against all you crappy crapholes! Now I'm gonna go do something that'd make a HUGE change that would never have come around if I didn't exist! Muah! Screwing around with the fabric of reality is FUN!"

I was a "suprise". My parents were going to stop at 4 kids and then I came. But my mom says that the family needed me.
And my sister got pregnant as a teenager and was married by 18. The twins that she had... I guess you could say that they were unplanned and a mistake... but I have never seen two girls more loved, appreciated, and wanted in my life.
I think good things come out of suprises.

I was a mistake, but I really don't think it matters. I would only be totally heartbroken if I found out that my parents seriously considered having an abortion.

Eh. It wouldn't surprise me, having been born outside of the US and hearing the way my parents talk about it. Personally, I wouldn't really be bothered. Like, it doesn't matter if your parents didn't plan for you to be born, so long as they stepped up to the plate after you were. Beyond that, I don't care about how I was conceived; what I do with my life matters more.
