 The sun had dipped down behind the hilly land skip of the meadow's. Latterio and Luna were still on their journey to the ocean but for the time being Luna was sent out to gather food. The field did was not teeming with life like the forest but it did have berries here and there to offer. It was not much but enough for the two to survive off of for tonight. She had made a carrier out of a large fern leaf for the berries she picked with her maw. Gently placing them behind her on the leaf as she walked and looked for more. It would have been nice if she could have found a field mouse or two, but she managed with the berries.
The star's over head twinkled with a glorious shine in the heavens. Singing almost to the rest of the land. One good thing about the meadow was the sky. You could see it so clearly with out all the tree's blocking your view. Luna studied the sky with her deep pink eyes. They went from side to side taking in the beauty it had to offer. It truely was wonderful and refreshing. Luna sighed and kept moving. It was not wise to let you guard down in this dog eat dog world they lived in.

This seemed like a nice night, Ronin was moving slowly across the meadow while watching the clear sky.
He wasn't sure where he was going or why, he just drifted on his own, as he didn't belong to a pack, not that it bothered him though, at the moment he was happy to just be on his own.
A scent suddenly caught his attention, was someone else nearby?
It smelt like it so this one followd the scent, being a bit curious about other wolves, as he was not used to be around them.
Of course he knew that he would have to be cautious, as he had figured out that not all were welcoming.
Following that scent lead him to a place with a few berry bushes where he noticed the one he had been able to smell.
He didn't approach right away, but moved aroundso that he wouldn't come into view etween the bushes, because that would more than likely result in a possible attack from the other, if he was lurking around in the bushes.

Luna's eyes shot around the berry bushes, deep pools of pink now flickering with caution. Someone else was near, she could smell them through the alluring aroma of the berries. Another wolf, she couldn't tell the gender. Her first notion was to stay still. Maybe he or she would move on, but being a curious wolf by nature, this was not possible. Though she was shaking some she still had the courage to speak.
"I-if this be your territory, I am sorry for intruding. I'll leave the berries that I picked. I am just passing through, I don't mean any harm." Her eyes scanned the pushes, she could not see the other, but she felt his presence around her. The musk from the other wolf was thick she could almost taste it. He was close. She was sure not turn her back for a second. If she was being hunted, which wolves tended to do if food supplies were low, then she needed to have her guard up. She wandered if she yelled loud enough if Latterio would come to her resque. She was not a pack wolf either, a lone who had happened upon another lone in the woods. They were now on a journey to the beach. But she would never get to see it if she died tonight. Her eyes were frightful and terrified.

Ronin finally got way from the bushes so that he was in view of the other.
"No not at all, I'm just passing through." He replied when hearing the female speak.
To him she seemed on her guard and maybe even a bit frigthned, so he had not been able to avoid that by trying to go around the bushes.
"I'm sorry if I startled you, I mean no harm, I was just curious." He said, moving just a little closer, but only a step or two, then he staied where he was and watched her, his yellow eyes taking in the features of the female.

An only colored wolf entered her sights. His voice was kind and un threatening. Luna let her posture lax a little. So he was a traveler too? He seemed to have a level head on his shoulders. Not a cruel ruthless one. Luna felt that she could trust him.
"I'm sorry for being a bit scared earlier," She said a smile half way across her maw. "I-I thought you might be hunting me or something." She took a sigh of relief, it was refreshing to know you were not being hunted.
"My name is Luna," She said with a bit of a bow. "May I inquire who you might be?"

The female wolf seemed to be relaxing now, that was good, at least he hadn't scared her silly.
"No I'm the one that's sorry, I shouldn't have been lurking around like that, but I jus wanted to make sure you were not hostile." He replied to her, voice deep, but yet soft.
"Luna is it? My name is Ronin, just a lone wolf who dosn't belong anywhere." He replied to her question.
She didn't seem like she was a part of a pack either, because if she was then he as pretty sure that there would have been more around.
He shifted his position a little, his head tilting slightly to one side as he asked.
"So what areyou doinf around these parts, if I might be so bold?"

So he was a lone as well. He had not seemed to be part of a pack. His musk did not give away any other wolves scent. It was just him. That was good, she was a bit worried. Her ears flicked at his question. His voice was deep but soothing to the ear. What was she doing around here?
"ah," She began, "N-no no your not being bold. Guess its odd to find a lone female in the meadow at this time of night picking berries." She looked at the sky debating if she wanted to tell him what she was doing. He seemed trust worthy enough.
"Well, besides picking berries I'm headed to the ocean with a friend of mine. Its supposed to be the prettiest treasure I have ever seen," She did not know that the ocean was a body of water. Latterio had said it was prettier then any gem she had ever laid eyes on so she assumed it was a gem. A powerful one at that from his stories. She could not wait to get there, it was the stuff dreams were made out of.

"Not really odd, but not something one sees everyday." Ronin replied.
She still seemed a bit nervous to him though, but of course that was to be expected seeing as they had just met and neither of them had any way of knowing if the other was indeed as peaceful as they seemed.
"Ah I see, I don't believe I've even seen the ocean before either, but it sounds interesting." He added.
He had never cared for going far away and as far as he could gather the ocean was just that, so he had been content just staying in the meadows and forests, but this female made it sound like it was something worth seeing.

So a lot of wolves had never laid eyes on it. Luna had never even heard of it until a few days ago when she meet Lettarrio. He had weaved a mystical story in her mind about the ocean and its glory. Now Luna just had to see it. With every inch of her being she would make the journey. It twas a bit away though still but she was sure that she could handle it. She was a tough wolf on the inside.
"Hehe, guess I am not the only one," Luna said with a bit of a smile now spreading across her maw. She had felt a little embarrassed that she had never seen it. But wolves really never sought out the ocean on a regular basis. This was a comfort to her. Her tail wagged slightly side to side. Ronin had a kind aura to him. She could feel it vibrating off of his being. This caused her to loosen up a little more.

A smile came to Ronin as well as he could feel the female being less tense.
"No you're not, but then again there are lots of places that I havn't seen I stick mostly to the forests and meadows." He replied.
His tail also wagged now when he saw the others doing that too.
The female seemed really nice to him, it was nice for a change to meet someone nice, because he had had his runins with some less friendly ones.

Luna could since that this wolf had a kind aura. It came off of him like a warm glow.
"Where are you headed?" She finally asked. She had shared a great deal about her self but had not heard much from him. It was still a mystery to what this wolf was up to. She had not meant to be so direct but it tugged at her heart. She did truly want to know. "I am sorry for being so direct," her ears flattened against her head. It was not something she was used to being. Direct.

"Everywhere and nowhere, I just kind of go where my paws take me, I guess you could say I follow the wind." Ronin replied.
Yes he wasn't going anywhere in particular, never really had been unless there was some place he was curoius about.
"Don't worry about being direct, I think I've been that plenty already." He added soon after.
One paw was brought up to scratch behind his ear as something annoyed him there and once done he just smiled at the female.

Luna's bright pink eyes watched as Ronin scratched his ear. For some reason it amused her to watch. Then she felt something bite her too. Her eyes widen at first not knowing what to do as her back paw lifted up and started to scratch at the spot widely.
"Ahhh," She started and paused, a tad embarrassed for her reaction but it was so darn itchy. "I think something bite me," She whined some in her tone but not enough for it to be considered whining. "I guess the bugs have to eat to huh?" Her maw was opened with a smile baring forth as she scratched and giggled. She did not know why she thought it to be funny, but that was quite alright.

Ronin grinned. "Yes I don't tink we're the top of the food chain after all." He replied to the bug comment.
Well it did sound pretty funny coming from a wolf probably, but if one thought about it, bugs and parasited could get way with feeding of some pretty dangerous animals.
"It's pretty darn nice to be able to scratch if something does bite." He added, giving a nod at the same time.

Luna chuckled under her breath at the top of the food chain comment. It was pretty humoris and true.
"Yeah, guess the bugs are really the kings of the forests," She said with another chuckle. She continued to scratch at the spot the bugs were at. It was pretty irritating but that was alright. They were wolves and they could handle a few small bugs. Was no skin off their back to give alittle blood here and there.
