Uppers – Furies – The Furies are three sisters, the lesser goddesses of vengeance. They are winged beings with snakes for hair and blood dripping from their eyes. Punishers of ethical crimes, they strike down many in Uppers who have become corrupt. Furies will show no mercy to those who have committed crimes, murder worst of all, but will be easier to defeat by those of pure intentions.

Tisiphone: 0/20
Megaera: 0/20 - The kill goes to Jubs
Alecto: 0/20

(Crow killed one, Writ killed one. I don't remember who did what.)

Sphinx – Corridors – The sphinx is a giant creature, well over twenty feet at the shoulder when standing on all fours. With the body of a lioness and the head of a beautiful woman, this creature will only attack if the one it addresses incorrectly answers it’s riddle. When it’s riddle is answered, the Sphinx will disappear.

Sphinx: - The kill goes to Maria

Scylla and Charybdis – Harbors – Scylla is a six-headed creature with a lust for blood, bound to the waters and unable to leave. It is resistant to physical attacks, but weak to attacks using the power of the prophet’s god.

Scylla: -2/20 - The kill goes to Writ

Charybdis cannot be seen above water, but is the cause of an hourly whirlpool that sucks everything into the depths and spits it up later, in ragged pieces. Sending objects into the whirlpool can damage it, but a poison given from Persephone can kill it instantly.

Charybdis: 0/20 - The kill goes to Fish

Gorgons – Borders – The Gorgons are three hideous sisters, the most famous of which being Medusa. With scaly bodies and heads full of snake hair, they have the ability to turn whomever looks directly upon them into stone. These creatures will not be able to defeat someone who cannot see them, however.

Medusa: 0/20
Stheno: 0/20
Euryale: 0/20 - The kill goes to Ciro Hammurabi

(I think Ciro killed them all?)

Minotaur – Downers – The Minotaur is a beast with the body of a man and the head of a bull, not very intelligent but extremely strong, especially when charging. Because of this, it can be affected by physical attacks more easily than magical ones.

Minotaur: 0/20 - The kill goes to Ciro Hammurabi

Cerberus – Middling – Cerberus can be most easily seen as an overgrown rottweiler, easily as tall as the sphinx and three times more vicious. While it will not attack on it’s own, if provoked the dog will chase the character out of Middling. It seems to spend much of it’s time near Seasons, and will not allow anyone to enter the crevice it snuck out from. - Dispatched by Des Thanos

Ghosts – These can be the shades of any of the dead, ranging from recent to ancient history. Keep in mind, however, many historical figures cannot speak the language of today, and therefore Perseus would not be able to help with the defeat of a gorgon, Theseus with the minotaur, etc. Any touch causes the living to turn cold, and the dead’s body part to simply float through as if they were transparent.

Quoted from Page 320 to help you guys out:

Anubis of CoG
What does this mean OOCly?

Monsters have been released all throughout the City, courtesy of Zeus. With the exception of Cerberus and the Sphinx, they can all be fought and defeated using the dice program. Should your godling defeat one of the monsters, they will be deemed a hero and rewarded accordingly for their deeds: be it a weapon, a favor, or perhaps control of the monster itself for a limited amount of time. The dice system works as such, using 1 six-sided die:

1 – Your character fails to injure the monster and is actually injured in the process of attempting to attack.
2 – 3 – Your character fails to injure the monster, but is not harmed in the process.
4 – 5 – Your character manages to strike a blow against the monster.
6 – Your character strikes a critical blow against the monster.

Rolls of 4, 5, and 6 deal that amount of numerical damage respectively. When a monster has received 20 damage, it will die, disappearing into nothing and leaving behind the reward. If a character rolls a 1 more than three times, they will black out, and will be at the mercy of the creature until a spirit can take them back to Seasons. Damage given to the monster beforehand will remain, so it is possible that your character could encounter an injured monster and defeat it easily. Information about each monster can be found in the Guild, including it’s strengths, weaknesses, and damage counts. NOTE: Writing the actions of the monster does not count towards your characters word count, and should be excluded from the final word count of the roleplay. This system enables the monsters to be available without GM assistance, but should you want them to be roleplayed, send your requests to Anubis of CoG.

Send any further questions to Fallen_kitsune_thief, or catch her on AIM.

P.S. - With all this chaos, it could be easy for a god to create a godling without authorized permission...keep your eyes open for a chance at a new player!

Because you had to ask. rofl

Taichou
Hey, we’re bugging you again, sorry.

Twix asked you about the black suits, right? Well, the only ones I found were in group 2 of Abbot Plot, and they had 5hp each. That sounds kinda lame for a big fight, so are we allowed to bring it up to something closer to the 20hp of the creatures from the monster meta? Maybe mix 5's and 20's for a little difference there.

Also, what are the players HP? Crow had 20hp in the monster meta, so I’m guessing it’ll be around there.

And-- another question because I am a pain in the butt:
I know HP will change based upon what stage you are (FKT told me, at least.), but is damage dealt going to change based upon growth? Because with using 1 dice thing from the monster meta means that a newbie and a cultist will be doing the same damage per attack...

Sorry for asking so many questions, but I wanted to make sure I fully understood the battle system before I went and made a fool out of myself.

Blacksuit grunts have 5 HP, higher ups have more.

20 hp for a prophet. It goes up to 25 for a cultist. Rolling a 1 three times ******** you up, it goes up to 5 times for cultist. Basically you lose 1/3rd or 1/5th your HP each time.

For prophet, generate a number between 1 and 2 and use that for a multiplier. For Cultist, generate between 1 and 3.

Silverah
Yeah. Guys, it's sort of weird to try to comprehend from outside the battle, but your character can't die unless you've gone in with the possibility of them dying understood. If you just want them to rough each other up a little bit, you need to make that clear BEFORE you start. If you really do regret killing them off later, we will try to accommodate you, but only if we can fit it into the plot. Barring that, the best consolation prize we can give you is to eventually get your remaining stages of art to you.
