How do you deal with it???
I allways pass out. I dont know why. And I never pass out untill they are taking the kneedle out of my arm. I dont know if its that just the thought of getting my blood taken messes with me or if its the fact that I'm so damn tiney that even the little bit of blood they take (like 4 tubes normally) is just too much for my body to loose that fast. and scence I'm pregnant right now they will be taking a lot of blood in the next 61/2 months (how long I have left till my little one arrive)

I hate getting blood drawn. HATE it. A lot... very much! gonk
I have literally microscopic veins, so the larger 'regular' adult sized needles will not work on me. And no matter how many times I tell nurses and doctors this, they insist that I'm exaggerating and just being sqeamish. However, after poking me at least 4 times (everytime), they listen to me and switch to a children's sized needle (or a butterfly needle).
I have passed out once before after having my blood drawn. It was horrible. It was while i was pregnant after I had had that glucose test. So I try NOT to have my blood drawn if possible. I really, really do hate it a lot... in case ya can't tell by now sweatdrop .

I love it.
It dosen't hurt (and never has to get needles). I like it just after they put the needle in, then they attach the tube and the blood gushes in. I love the color and flow and all that stuff. I am a very weird person >P

Sometimes it gets easier if your having a lot of needles taken, over a short period of time, to make it easier, is you can warn who ever is taking the needle, that you tend to pass out after having blood drawn. 4 tubes shouldnt affect you too bad, in ratio of how much you have, it really isnt a lot.
Does it affect you when you get vaccinations?

I really, really do hate it a lot... in case ya can't tell by now sweatdrop . Get them to put it in writing the next time you have blood drawn because they're supposed to listen to you, millitary doctor or not. They just tend to pay more attention if its actually in writing. I hate having my blood drawn as well. The first time they used the thing that they leave in your arm on me they didn't explain to me what it was and I jerked my arm back and the needle thing came out and they tried for that hole anyway. I had blood going down my arm and into the vial and it eventually collapsed. They had to go to the other arm and bruised my vein some how or another. I was a guinea pig for a beginner nurse. When I was pregnant I had to have blood drawn and an iv when I was sick once. The nurse got blood all over my hand, on my sheets, and on the floor when she was dealing with the needle. I hated her. I didn't let her take it out. I demanded that some one else take it out.

Mine is alright, it feels a bit weird during it like your arm is tensing up or whatever. But I think I've gotten dizzy from it before.

AKILLA Mine is alright, it feels a bit weird during it like your arm is tensing up or whatever. But I think I've gotten dizzy from it before. I almost pass out afterwards because normally I am dizzy so loosing blood makes me even more dizzy. The most blood I've ever had taken was 8 things gonk and we're talking normal sized things not small ones. I've had 5 blood tests in the past year because I've been having problems with headaches and being dizzy so I've had tons of blood tests for that. I hate blood tests just thinking about it is creeping me out sweatdrop

Yeh, getting shots (vaccinations, etc) doesn't bother me a bit. But getting blood drawn out does. Glitter, i think I will have it put into writing about my need for butterfly needles. I am also what you call a 'free bleeder.' Which means my blood is naturally kinda thin and GUSHES out. Sometimes I feel like I am some dying person in a gorey anime with the way blood just spews out of me xd ... Ninja Scroll comes to mind!
When I was in labor with my son, a quite jackassy nurse was put in charge of hooking me up to the IV. She stabbed me in the wrist with a regular needle and proceeded to draw blood first. Then when she was done with that, she wanted to hook up the other chord, that had the IV fluids in it, to the needle to pump stuff in me. When she took that last blood vile off, blood shot EVERYWHERE. It was all over my arm, hand, bed, sheets, clothes, AND the floor. She wasn't even going to clean me up either! Luckily my husband and my best friend yelled at her, so she came back and, grudgingly, cleaned me and my bed and the floor up. She was a real jerk. I made my mid-wife and family keep her away from me the rest of the time I was in the hospital.

I was tested for every drug known to man when I was like 16. I had a complete sensory shut down. Actually I could see and hear, but I couldn't respond in any way. It was scary.
A lot of blood was drawn that day.
