Ok people, not many things about books here and because I can be a total nerd I am going to talk about them. (oh no she didn't) umhmm I did. So my friend lauren aka . M i d n i g h t . on gaia recomended this book the kite runner which she read in school. And I started reading it today and it's actually really good so far. Coppied from authors site:

THE KITE RUNNER

Over two years on the New York Times bestseller list, and published in 42 different languages.

Taking us from Afghanistan in the final days of the monarchy to the present, The Kite Runner is the unforgettable, beautifully told story of the friendship between two boys growing up in Kabul. Raised in the same household and sharing the same wet nurse, Amir and Hassan nonetheless grow up in different worlds: Amir is the son of a prominent and wealthy man, while Hassan, the son of Amir's father's servant, is a Hazara, member of a shunned ethnic minority. Their intertwined lives, and their fates, reflect the eventual tragedy of the world around them. When the Soviets invade and Amir and his father flee the country for a new life in California, Amir thinks that he has escaped his past. And yet he cannot leave the memory of Hassan behind him.

The Kite Runner is a novel about friendship, betrayal, and the price of loyalty. It is about the bonds between fathers and sons, and the power of their lies. Written against a history that has not been told in fiction before, The Kite Runner describes the rich culture and beauty of a land in the process of being destroyed. But with the devastation, Khaled Hosseini also gives us hope: through the novel's faith in the power of reading and storytelling, and in the possibilities he shows for redemption.

Anyways thought I'd recomend it too. I'm into history but I also like fiction so it's perfect, I also like fantasy books like Wheel of Time series but for thoes who don't like to red LONG books I wouldn't recomend it. The kite runner is only about 390 pages so decent novel, that most people can get through.

has anyone heard or read it?
what do you think by the synopsis?
have you heard of wheel of time?
any books you're currently reading

and books in general.

has anyone heard or read it?
No Sorry I haven't. This is the first time I have.

what do you think by the synopsis?
Sounds good.

have you heard of wheel of time?
Yes. Read the first five books.

any books you're currently reading
Went to the book store yesterday and picked up a book called Wicked Lovely. I'm into fantasy series, but more recently into fantasy romance series. I got kind of tired of reading long and complicated series and just was looking for some easy reads- thus the fantasy romance stuff. (And I'm really a girl IRL BTW.)

I've never read it.

what do you think by the synopsis?
It seems like a good book, I might have to pick it up.

have you heard of wheel of time?
I read the first book only.

any books you're currently reading
or would recommend.

I'm reading Paradise Lost by John Milton in it's original poem form not something you should read unless you have plenty of time to concentrate.

I just finished the by Stephen King I loved it and would recommend it to everybody.
