Who: Iuili, Maidhfinden (Mythe-fin-dehn), & Vanafindon (Vahn-ah-finn-donn) *new* & Lucia!!
What: casual meeting
Where: flying over Realm, looking for a place to swim
When: mid July
Why: should be fun to put twins with a mute. ^_^ *new* luv is in the air *sings* Mid June. Mid summer. The weather was hot, and a pair of identical angelic kitsusagi winged through the sky. Their blue wings were more than a shade darker than the blue they soared, their white bodies like fluffy clouds. Peach-orange chests & 'caps' more distinguishable against the sky than the rest of them combined, working almost as a beckon to draw attention. Small peach 'eyes' much like those of a peacock's winked playfully on their combined six tails, waving like banners behind them in the wind. They could almost be overlooked if one wanted. Except for the banter between them. From the words it sounded like an argument, but the tone of the male voices were both playful and cheerful -as if the argument was some kind of game or inside joke. "Oh come on... what was wrong with the last one?" "I told you... too many at it." "But it's fun to meet others." "Not that many. Not today." "Why not today? What's wrong with today?" "Just 'cause, Vana! Does everything have to have a reason?" "Today it does, Maidh." The one twin teased his brother, blue eyes sparkling. The other glared a moment, then both started laugh. "So seriously, Maidh... lets get to finding a lake to swim in. This weather's sweltering." Maidhfinden nodded at his brother, eyes scanning the landscape below. "How about that one?" He pointed and Vanafindon followed where indicated, a smile growing on his white muzzle. "Looks perfect bro. Cool and clear." "And uncrowded." Maidh added with an impish grin as his brother shot him a laughing 'you so did not just go there again' look. "C'mon... race ya there." "You're on!" As one the twins dove towards the crystaline water below.

There didn't appear to be anyone there, as the lake seemed somewhat secluded to her, though Iuile had to admit that was for the better. Her father was insanely over protective and while she knew that she could be around others, she often hid or became incredibly and inexplicably shy when she was in their presence.
Landing on the ground, pluffy feet first, Iuile lifted her head and sniffed about with her rust colored nose to make sure that no others were around before she moved forward. Every step she took she seemed to simply float over the ground, not just from her small stature but from how she simply folded her wings on her back and arched it, walking like on air. The grace in her steps was understandable as she started to swish her tails to and fro, using them like rudders for what she needed.
Dipping her muzzle into the water, the tiny female started to drink when words hit her large ears and caused them to flick straight up in the air as if they belonged on the head of a bunny rabbit instead of a Kitsu that normally held them down. So there was someone else here... ninja

Maidhfinden saw her first, just after the twins pulled their dive at the last minute to skim over the top of the water towards the far shore. His blue eyes went wide, a single wing tilted out of place... and its tip caught & broke the surface of the water. "aaa!! ... Umph!!"
That was all he got out before dropping unceremoniously into the lake, heals over head. Vanafindon reaching the shore landed and laughed victoriously. "Ha!!! Beat you, Maidh!! Oh yea!!!" Looking out across the water to laugh at his soaked sibling Vana took his turn to spy the lone female. Now his eyes widened, and he stopped mid victory dance. girl... pretty girl... Lifting his wings he caught a wind and soared over the lake -and his brother- to land near the the striped ginger female. "Hey."
Having been swimming like mad ever since righting himself in the water Maidhfinden struggled his way to shore. "No way, Vana!! I saw her first!" The wet male did not even bother to shake out his fur as he glared at his twin. "Nu-uh, Maidh! I got here first! You fell in the water!" "But seeing her's why I fell in the water!" Vana's expression formed a silent "oh" of realization as he followed, then grinned sheepishly at his wet brother. "Oh... guess that would explain it..." Turning to the pretty angelic female he grinned "eh... sorry 'bout that. My brother's Maidhfinden & I'm Vanafindon. Pleased to meetcha."

Both green eyes spreading wide instantly, Iuile froze from where she was lapping at the water, tongue still submersed. She'd of course heard the two males before she saw them, assuming that those were the voices that her ears had picked up from so far away. The fact that she saw the one crash into the water and the other land not that far away from her frightened her yet at the same time made her want to leap into the water and save the one who'd taken that plunge.
The landing of the other and the words he spoke to her forced Iuile to flash her emerald eyes in his direction so as not to be rude, though she still fretted for the one down there in the water. At least long enough until he pulled himself ashore and stood there glaring in the general direction of his exact clone.
"Neek!" Iuile peeped slightly at their names, One of few noises that she was able to make, being a mute and all. "Neek, mya!"
Fluffing up her wings she turned and batted both of them at the wet twin, causing a huge gust of wind in the hopes that she would blow the water from him and hopefully not send him right back into the curtain of water behind him. At least both of them were Angelics like the whole of her family, so she felt a little more comfortable with them than she did with normals and the like.
Peeping softly as she dropped both of her wings down to the ground and flicked her ears to the sides of her head. This was her normal position, calm and yet withdrawn. She was afraid, but not so much that she was panicky.

"Neek mya?" Vana repeated with heavy confusion, sharing a glance and a shrug with his twin that indicated each to the other that neither knew what the pretty femme meant by that. But then Maidhfinden "yelp"ed in surprise, scrunching his eyes closed as the female sent an impressive breeze his way by using her wings. It was hard... he wanted to keep his eyes open to watch her but he barely could as he braced his black tipped paws in the lake's bank and withstood the gale, ears pressed to his head, wings angled back & away from his body to not catch but still dry. Once he realized what she was trying to do. His twin watched with a bemused expression. "Well at least one of us is cool now." Drying off now & being quite windblown, Maidh sent him a dirty look. Vana gave him a crooked smile and both laughed. "Go ahead Vana... water's fine."
Tilting his head at the female's stance, Maihd tried to get his coat into some semblance of passable as he padded closer to her and his brother. Vana for his part backed off so that both boys ended up the same distance from her. "Hey... thanks for the blow-dry." He gave her a silly grin & his twin snickered. "So... you have a name?" Vana snorted with laughter, flopping on his belly as Maidh's cheeks hinted at a shade of red beneath the light fur. "Eh.. I mean: what's your name? Will you tell us?"

A peep was the only thing that Iuile could say, her eyes suddenly taking on a sad light as she realized that she couldn't tell them her name no matter how hard she tried. Maybe they would leave when she couldn't tell them her name, the prospect made her hang her head in sadness, wings falling to rest on the grass softly, looking almost crumpled where they'd fallen.
Sometimes she just wished that she could talk like her siblings and parents.
Taking a deep breath and berating herself inwardly for being so sad, Iuile puffed herself up and stood up on her hind legs, clapping her two fuzzy paws together before her.
"Neek! Peep, neek!" Iuile tried saying out loud. It was supposed to be said as "Iuile, it's Iuile" But that didn't work out so well.
Frowning and looking the two over then switching her emerald gaze towards some dirt by Maidh's feet, her eyes lit up and she bounced over beside him, wings fluttering happily. At least here she could write out her name, yes that would work out quite well.
So with her puffy paws, Iuile scribbled her name in the dust and looked up at the two twins with a bright smile.

Maidh took a worried step towards the female as her pretty eyes saddened, just before she hung her ehad. Concern flitting across his blue eyes. His twin was also concerned, but seemed to be watching Maidhfinden's reactions to the girl's behavior rather than the girl herself. Vana hid a small smerk, a kernal of hope planted in his peach-hued chest. Could his twin actually be interested in the femme?
The twins shared a glance over the smaller female's head. Neek peep-neek? What could it mean?
The male's eyes widened as she neared, feeling... well, he could not put a paw to it. Different certainly. Like he wanted to reach out and touch her. The twins usually did not touch with their flirting. Too many ways to get in trouble. They were after all, males. If they were not getting in trouble on their own trouble could & often would be blamed upon them. Why look for it? But the feeling did not fade, seeming to double in her bright smile. Vana coughed to get his twin's attention, glancing pointedly at the sand by Maidh's feet. Blue eyes blinked, then smiled sheepishly. Right! She had put her paws there! The usually more talkative twin looked down, moving around to read the letters -he was sure glad now that he had learned to read!- right-side up. "I-U-I-L-E. Eeuihlee?" He tried to pronounce it phonetically. "Your name's Iuile?" Spotted tails wagged happily as he looked at her hopefully, a sheepish smile on his face.

Instantly she nodded her head. He could read what she'd written! Now grateful to her mother for teaching her how to read and write, Iuile clapped her fluffy paws once more and bounced over to Maidh so she could catch him in a huge hug.
It was a reaction that she used with her family, her way of telling them that she was happy and that she was glad they'd understood. Hugs always worked out that way didn't they? Of course she'd never tested it with others, but she figured they'd get the concept.
Releasing him and giving Vana the same treatment, Iuile finally swirled back over to the dirt again and rubbed out her name, scribbling down something else with her paw instead.
"I appologize for being mute"
Her eyes watched their faces sadly, though for some reason she was drawn to the eyes of the one she'd dried off more. Maidhfinden was his name right? Maidh? That sounded about right so her brain committed it to memory.
There was just something about him...

He grinned widely at her nod, his twin Vana getting a thoughtful look at the name & looking off in the distance to where he only knew.
Then there were the hugs. Vana though not having been paying attention seemed to take the gesture more in stride, only a light blush touching the white fur of his cheeks. Still on the sand Maidfinden was opening and closing his mouth in the wake of the flurry of feel-goodness, the white of his cheeks vanished into his blush. pretty girl... bold stripes... hug... soft... warm... giiirrll...
He barely shook himself out of being a slobbering idiot by the time she returned, holding his mouth shut and pointedly watching her paws. Cute little white tipped paws. Gah! Right! Right! Wait, no... writing! Right!
Maidh blinked, Vana lightly padding towards them to be able to read the message too. "You're mute?" Gentle sadness for Iuile was clear in his blue eyes. His twin chuckled. "That's okay. I'm sure Maidh can talk enough for the both of you." "Hey!"

A gold head leaned to the side at Vana's comment, not quite understanding it. All the same she took a paw and pointed at her muzzle and then at Maidh's, asking if it was true that he could talk for her.
Of course her family understood her and they could communicate with her in their own ways... but no one had ever spoken for her. Hope seemed to shimmer in her eyes for a moment as she hopped over towards the larger male and peered into his eyes with her own glistening green.
"Neek?" she asked, her voice so soft that the wind grabbed it as it passed and seemed to pull it away from her. The soft eyes looked down at her paws for a moment before looking back up at him. "Neek?"
Being this close to him, Iuile could smell him and get a better look at him. Sure he was the same as Maidh in every way, but to her eyes he had features that seemed to stand out. Like the black tips on his paws seemed lighter and the shine of his eyes to be more gentle. From her hug earlier with him she could even tell that he may well have been a little fluffier.
Of course it was all in her head, but just the same...
"Mya!" She peeped up at him and grabbed his wing boldy in her paws and pulled it over herself like a large umbrella or roof. She did this with her father and sister too, using them like a shelter to prove to them that she felt safe in their presence.

Well, the chattier twin might not be able to talk for her... but as Vana said: Maidh talked enough. And Vana was right now near joyous inside that his twin had been quiet this long.
Mute or no... Maidhfinden was surprisingly able to catch on to the small femme's gestures. He blushed brighter as she pointed between their throats. "I, ah, not literally. But I'll try!"
Vana arched a brow, surprised, & chuckled. "Maidh's usually a chatterbox, Iuile. That's what I meant." Usually Maidh would have retorted with a comment but he was caught up short by bright green eyes.
He probably did look fluffier than his brother, fur so recently wet and blown dry. Maidh sucked his breath in sharp but quiet at Iuile's proximity, tempted to reach out and touch her. Maybe see about a repeat hug...
Then he yipped in surprise, blue eyes going wide as his wing was commandeered in a way his wing had never been used before. Just as quickly he was smiling. Beaming really. She... trusted him? Did he understand that right? Ducking his head under his own wing to look at Iuile, Maidh touched her lightly with his nose. "Is this... are you saying you trust me, Iuile?" Blue eyes drank her in, enthralled.
Recognizing the look, Vanafindon silently started to give them some room, circling around the lake a little to lap at the clear water while he looked on. Maybe soon... he smiled dreamily, thoughts drifting to a certain pale striped beauty who had captured his own heart. Vana wanted to run off and tell her, but it could be a while before anything conclusive.

The sound of peach colored wings sounded through the air and Lucia's light colored form could be found soaring about through the summer air. She had made her way from home, wanting some time away from the family, but she was something of a dual mission. She was curious about what her sister, Iulie, was up to and how she was doing since she hadn't seen her in a long time. And the other was she wanted to see if she could find Vana. It didn't really matter if he was with his brother or not, she just wanted to see him. She made her way towards the lake, knowing Kitsus seemed to congregate there.

Smiling so softly she looked as if her fur were litterally glowing with her happiness, of being so near someone that cared so much. She barely registered that Vana had gone off towards the lake or that the scent of her sister was getting closer. But he had told her that he'd try, that was enough for her.
No one had as much as tried with her before, though she was sure they cared, they didnt' really want to try and understand her peeping. Just understand her body language. Or if they'd understood it they didn't want to relay it.
To his question however, Iuile simply nodded her golden head and licked his nose in response. Of course she felt safe with him, why wouldn't she? He was warm and he smiled at her and he made her feel like she could curl up next to him and he'd save her from anything.
That wasn't a feeling she'd gotten from anyone other than her father Nunzio. Only her father could make her feel this safe... until now. What was it about Maidh though?
Maybe it was the warmth he had? Or maybe it was something else?
Iuile still wasn't sure what it was she felt about him, just something strange and something familiar at the same time. Something that made her happy.

Maidh felt ... jittery. Jittery and fully relaxed all at once. It was... nice.
Then she licked his nose. No one had licked his nose since his mother. His wing raised like an umbrella fell around her, a stunned and intensely joyful look on his face. "Iuile... gosh. You're.... well, I've never known anyone like you!" He had nearly forgotten his twin was there, stunned by the silent beauty under his wing. Nor did he notice another kitsu nearing the lake, such was his preoccupation. What was happening to him? He & Vana had flirted before. All the time. Long before they ever came to the Realm. It was what they did. "You're incredible, you know that?"
The others might not have noticed, but Vanafindon alone and thinking/dreaming of the approaching kitsu did. A joyous warmth filled his blue eyes at even the barest hint of her scent. Even if it was only more dreaming of her...
He rose quickly to his feet, spreading his wings to find a suitable breeze. Surely one... finding it Vana flapped his blue wings forcefully sending rippled across the lake as he rose angling towards where his nose & heart told him the scent was coming. Spotting the pale stripes he loved so well his heart soared. "Lucia! Come see!"
Though his words said that, his blue eyes added how much he loved her, how great it was to see her again, how he wanted to hold her, and the unbridled hope that their 'game' around Maidhfinden would soon be over.

Lucia perked up her large ears and looked about when she heard her name and she turned her head to see who it was. Her eyes went wide and a happy smile went on her face when she who it was, "Vana!!!" she called out and she turned her body so she could fly towards him at a faster speed.
