 Jelani walked along in the grass, his head held high and his chest poofed out proudly. He walked with a slight strut, he was feeling rather confident today. His fur blew lightly in the wind. It was darker today, clouds were forming. A storm was brewing.
He sat down in the grass, he shrugged his shoulders and yawned with boredom. He looked around the meadow he was in, this was definately boring to him. His eyes roamed from left to right, looking haughty but mostly bored. Just another day, perhaps he should go back home? Maybe he could show off his skills to his parents, his siblings would probably just be annoyed with him.

 Mint walked silently in the high grass that completely hid her rather tiny figure. She supposed she was rather invisible to other animals, her green colour blending in perfectly with the light colors of the grass. She glanced up, trying to decide whether it had been a good idea to leave the pack without telling her parents or not. It seemed as if a storm was brewing.
After a few seconds of pondering on the subject, she shrugged her shoulders. She didn't mind a bit of rain, just as long there wasn't thunder too. Walking on, she noticed that she was nearing the meadow she had made her way towards. She had found it a few weeks ago when she had been playing in the tall grass, and had immidiately fallen in love with the area. HER area. No siblings or parents or pack members to come and tell her what to do, because nobody but her knew about the area.
However, as she got closer, she noticed that there was another ulaya in the meadow. Before thinking she let out a loud, rather surprised "OH!" at the sight of the ulaya. She hadn't expected to see anybody else there. Realizing her vital mistake that uncovered her hiding spot, she glanced frantically from side to side, trying to find a way to stay anonymous.

He was still debating what to do when he heard a rather loud 'oh'. He whipped his head around, his pale eyes looking around the surroundings to see what had made that sound. If it was something big then he'd have to ditch this place, even if he'd want to fight it deep down inside of him, even he wasn't that stupid.
The oh sound had come from something that was most likely hiding in the grass. He couldn't tell what it was, whatever it was was really good at hiding theirselves within the grass. He stood up, onto his paws, and walked over to the grass section. He craned his head to look into the grass, over the tops to see if it was something tall but it wasn't. Drat.
"Come out." He ordered. Maybe he should of used please but he didn't like that word much. He hoped, almost, that the thing who had spoke that word would come out and show theirselves. And if he had to fight then he'd fight and win, hopefully.

Upon realizing that this other animal was an ulaya, just about her own age, she gave a slight sight of relief. Atleast she wasn't about to get mauled by some big, dangerous creature. She was just about to show herself, when she heard the demanding tone of the other ulaya.
Furrowing her brows slightly, she cocked her head to the side. What was that? No please? If there was one thing Mint valued, it was good manners. She wasn't about just come on demand, it simply wasn't ladylike at all!
She let out a huff of indignation before finally opening her mouth with the curt reply "I don't think so mister!". Her behind firmly planted on the ground, she firmly held on to the idea that she would not reveal herself, nor leave. This was her place, and he had no right to come here. Unless he was hurt or something of course, but he clearly wasn't. She wasn't about to be ordered around by some... some... BOY when it was her time off!

It wasn't coming out. He glared at the grass, stupid thing. Whatever it was. "Fine" He snapped back. He turned around and stormed about in a huff. The nerve of that thing, telling him no and what did it call him? Mister? He did not like that.
He grumbled about as he walked around. Darn that tall grass, why did it have to be so tall that the thing could hide in it? Grr that thing made him angry. "Fine." He repeated at the grass, he stopped and looked at it. "I'm coming in there then."

Her eyes sparkled bemusedly as she watched the brown and white ulaya storm around in an obvious pouting huff. She had never seen a boy act so... so... spoiled before. She really couldn't help but let out a slight giggle at the ridiculus show he put on.
Mint, being a down-to-earth personality by nature, kept her calm at the empty threat of the other ulaya coming in, although she couldn't help but snort at his attitude. "Good luck trying to find me" she taunted lightly.

He grumbled at her taunting. He would find that thing, he had to. He glared at the tall grass once more before heading into it. The grass surrounded him from all sides, it was hard to see things through it. Great. But no way was he going out with his tail between his legs.
He brought a paw up, pushing aside some grass before stepping through some more of it. How was he supposed to find that thing in all this? He huffed. But he kept his head up high and walked through it the grass some more and more. He would find it, he would find it, he chanted in his head as he walked.

Mint had tried to stay silent as the little brown ulaya was fighting his way through the tall grass. It looked positively hilarious. But her efforts were wasted as she saw the oh-so-determined expression on his face, and she burst out laughing.
Knowing that she had just given herself away completely, she decided that she would not wait for the other to find her, but instead jumped into the clearing, and sat down, waiting paitiently for the other ulaya to realize that she was very visible now.

Jelani fell over, tripping over his feet when he heard the laughter. Why that irritating thing. He fumed, climbing to his paws. He looked about in the area where the laughter had come from but he could not find a thing. Where did that creature vanish to?
The creature was not here. But then where had it gone? Obviously not in this grass anymore, he sulked. He had been all ready to attack too, he would show that creature that he was amazingly strong but the creature was gone. He slumped out of the grass and into the clearing.
He looked up. There was a female Ulaya here now. When did she come here? Jelani didn't connect the possibility that maybe she was the one in the grass, it didn't come to mind. "Did you see a nasty looking creature come by this way? Gonna teach it a lesson. It can't taunt the great Jelani and get away with it."

Mint's eyes widened slightly in confusion and disbelief. "You? Bu...? I..." she studdered, her voice overcome with laughter, before she finally broke down, laughing so hard she felt a few tears leaking. He hadn't realized that she was whom he had been hunting.
Regaining her composure, for she was sure the other ulaya would be pretty angry that she had laughed at him, she smiled, laughter still evident in her very bemused eyes "Oh! Why yes! Yes I did!" she exclaimed "It was minty-green and had some blue and white spots on it! It was about this tall" she said, and motioned her own size with her paw "And it was heading that way" she finished and pointed to the grass right behind her.

What was so funny? Angry pulsed through him, he was furious with this female Ulaya and here he was almost hoping that they could get along fine. He frowned, and his eyes flashed with irritation.
"It already came out from that grass!" He snapped at her. "It couldn't of gone back in, I wouldn't think...." Wait. Jelani's cheeks flushed with a light pink. How dare this Ulaya try and make a fool out of him? How dare she?
"You..." He grumbled, his face tensed with anger. "It was you." Jelani looked right at her, backing up as he did so. His claws dug into the ground slightly when he stopped.
He glared fully at the female, "I am great and you can't get away with insulting me!" He leaped towards her.

The amusement slowly faded from her features, as the other ulaya became more and more angry-looking. "Hey, I was just joking around" she said confusion evident on her face. Why was this other ulaya so angry at her?
As he lept towards her, she yelped in surprise, and scurried out of the way, hoping he wouldn't crash into her. She had seen he had extended his claws. "What is wrong with you?" came the shrill cry, as she tumbled around in the dirt.

He missed. He hmphed and turned about to face the female. "Nothing's wrong with me." He snapped. "You're the one that caused all this. You can't embarrass me and get away with it, you just can't." Jelani glared at the female, his claws dug into the dirt.

"What?!" she screeched "I wasn't trying to embarrass you!" He did that all by himself she added in her mind. "You attacked me for no apparent reason, after being really rude to me too" she snapped, very uncharacteristicly.

He grumbled. "I wasn't being rude, you were first. I asked very politely for you to come out, I even used please." Jelani stopped, deciding not to mention about the attacking bit because there was no way he was admitting she was right. His claws retracted back in.
