Keirro adjusted the harness as she and Ranis prepared to enter a casual resturant. "PLEASE behave" begged Keirro as she held the toddler and looked at him in the eye. Thiis was her first attempt at trying to raise the Illusionary in a proper setting and not act like a wild beast.
Ranis was too busy concentrating on the new smells to hear what his guardian had to say. Something smelled like meat and it smelled delicious! The toddler's mouth started to water and he smacked his lips at the thought of something tasty and warm being served to him instead of icky veggies.

A man sat at the bar, a bottle of clear liquid dangling from one hand. Beside him was a vividly colorful eyesore of a child that seemed to be missing half the hair from one side of her head. She did not seem to be the most civilised child; she was berating the man, apparently her father, for his drinking habit.
"DADDY you're stupid! An' you totally deserve the horrid hangover you're gonna have, jerkface, an' I'm not gonna even try to get Mama Li or Mama Aurelius to make you some coffee this time. I'un care what you think is wrong with you, you're the daddy and I'm not the mommy!"
He sighed audibly and patted the child on the shoulder. "That's why you have so many mothers," he slurred. Strangely enough, he seemed to have a coherent line of thought, despite all the alcohol apparently running through his system. He didn't look like the type to drink- his hair was a stiff military crew cut, and he was wearing some sort of uniform. But it wasn't arguable that he was indeed drinking- with a child to care for, too.

Keirro heard the commotion between father and daughter over at the bar. Keirro was half tempted to have a drink herself, but she wasn't going to look like that drunken man. She held her head high as she settled for a neayby table and ordered a highchair and a Kahula with cream. It wasn't a strong drink, but Keirro had never been into strong drinks. She then tried to sit the Toddler into his chair.
Ranis resented the highchair as soon as he saw it. "NO!" he snapped. He wanted to sit with his mommy, not in a stinky highchair that reeked of the last kid that sat in it! Keirro slapped Ranis's wrist and Ranis started to whimper and hold his hand while Keirro finished strapping into the chair.

The child snorted and detached herself from the bar stool with a grumble. Looking around, she seemed to spot Ranis and Keirro- an easy feat, since the restaurant really was otherwise deserted- and made a beeline for them. She pulled herself up beside Ranis's high chair, black and bitten fingernails curling over the edge as she craned her neck and stretched herself in order to be able to stare at the weird boy. "Resist the system, man," she said firmly to Ranis, definitely quoting one of the old hippies from the nearby park. "The Man's trying to hold you down." She gripped the top of the nearby table, scrabbling for purchase on the mosaic top before managing to pull herself into a chair. "'M Asimov. Can I sit with you?"

Keirro did not expect this little girl to come so close to Ranis. In fact, she did not notice the girl until she was climbing on Ranis's chair. Keirro raised an eyebrow at the child's speech, but dimissed it as rhetoric. Still, the girl was a polite child, if not overly friendly. "Is it all right with your parents?' keirro asked.
"Bah!" Ranis spat as he noticed a girl on his chair. He flattened his ears against his head and looked very much like a cat just had just been suprised. The girl looked and talked funny. Who was this MAN? and What was this Power? Did the Man posses the Power? It was one of the few times where Ranis was bewildered, rather than angered, by a stranger. Still he gave his best reponse he could think of. "Rawr!" growled the toddler.

She made a derisive sound. "Daddy's too drunk to care, and my mamas don't go out with us. He embarrasses them." Taking that as acceptance, she settled her chin in her hands and looked at Ranis. For a moment, she screwed up her eyes, as if thinking about what she wanted her response to his growl to be. Then she growled back, making her green eyes narrow; the change in light turned the whites black. "So there!" Asimov leaned back in her chair, pleased with herself.

"Oh," Replied Keirro. She was wanted to avoid letting the child know that she was a psychologist. The last thing Keirro wanted was for work to follow her outside her office. She also didn't want this girl to aggrivate and encourage Ranis to misbehave. She had to think of a subject to distract the child with. "How old are you?" asked Keirro.
Ranis scowled in confusion at Asimov. Did that girl growl bacK? Usually Silver was the one who did that. Was this girl related to him? Ranis blinked with his large eyes in an adorable fashion.

Asimov sighed. "Six," she said, sticking her tongue out at Ranis. The likelyhood of Keirro ever distracting her or giving her significant enough hints was slim to none. The technicolor child wasn't looking for a psychologist, and anything sort of Hey look, I'm a psychologist! would get her to acknowledge that.
And anyway, she didn't know what a psychologist was.
"How old are you?" The question was addressed right back at Keirro, though she was looking at Ranis.

Ye gods, six? Keirro thought to herself. Keirro took an elegant sip of her drink while keeping an eye on Ranis. "I'm 25. He's two" She replied. On both counts she was lying about age. She was really 27 and Ranis was barely a few months old. However, the child didn't need to know that.
Ranis growled as he tried to get out of his highchair. HE started to gnaw and pick at the straps, determined to exact his revenge on the silly rainbow girl that sought to torment him.

"So he's only a littlie?" She pouted and fiddled with her scarf, unaware of exactly how cute that made her look. "Daddy's thirty-four. He acts like a littlie, though." Instead of leaving Ranis be, Asimov moved closer to him and stared, eyes narrow again. Something about her demeanor dared him to try and do something about how close she was, especially as she made another face at him.

"HE is very little. He still has much to learn, as you do. " said Keirro. Keirro chuckled at Asimov's description of her father. Keirro had a boyfriend that could stand to grow up a little. Gary was such a big softie and was so eagar to please. It was a shame that Keirro didn't bring Ranis by him more often, but Gary could never seem to tame the inhospitable child. "Um, please give him his space, he doesn't like strangers." Keirro warned, bracing herself.
"RAWR!" Ranis cried out as he grabbed for a lock of the girl's hair to pull. How dare she challenge him in his territory! He was going to show her who she was dealing with!

Instead of crying out as another child might've done, she pinched Ranis's arm hard, around the elbow, where there were more nerves and less skin. "I fight back!" Asimov's voice was maybe a couple decibels above the recommended indoor vocal range, but it wasn't too extremely loud. With a grumble of discontent, she pulled her hair out of his fist and made a face again, scrunching up the heterochromic eyes.

Ranis screeched like any child. In a fit of confused outrage he tried to sink his growing teeth into the child.
"STOP IT NOW!" roared Keirro as she placed herself between the two children and seperated them by force. She held Ranis back by one of his horns and attempted to restrained the other child by gripping ASimov's shirt. "This is NOT how we act in a restraunt! Now, you two apologize!" it was quite evident that Keirro was quite outraged herself and was not to be messed it.

For a moment, Asimov gave Keirro the most '********' look she could summon up, which was pretty '********'. It was rather obvious that no one had ever, ever told her to apologize to anyone before. She looked at Ranis for a moment and made a face. "Sorry, littlie," she said, as she had not ever heard his name. "But you started it, so I'm prolly not as sorry as your mama wants me to be."

"Sowwy." growled Ranis as he crossed his arms and looked away from the strang looking girl. He flicked his tail and twitched his ears. It wasn't his fault. That girl started to aggrivate him so much! Then, she didn't act like most other people did when Ranis growled. She started attacking him! Ranis was still confused and his best way of dealing with confusion was by being angry.
Keirro sat back in her chair and gave an exasperated sigh. She just wanted a quiet dinner, liker the ones she used to have only two mnths ago. "It's okay. But can we try to think of other ways we can interact without fighting?" replied Keirro.
