Well i'd like to talk about the May letters, both 2004 and 2005.
Side note, you will have to excuse the grammar and lack of the common English language, yes I speak english....And it's my first language....But enough of this i'm a fool.
Any ways back onto topic, as a lot of you have probably noticed the may 2005 letters/guitars have ZOOMED up in price..Hmm..What does this remind me of....The kiki kitties? Indeed, also if I recall currently, and currect me if i'm wrong, the june 2004's were a HUGE hit. So why make this thread? Well....I heard from a friend of a friend there will NEVER be Angelic/demonic wings for the back etc.....Due to when questing comes out it will be one of the hard quests.
Back onto topic, the may 2005's allow a look of wings onto the users back if put on right hence making them very pricey it seems (Just like the winged ankets) Now i've been collecting them for awhile now and since june I have seen them go up around 2-3k thats in less then a month, now what i'm thinking is, will the Guitars just suddenly sky rocket one night like the kiki's did? And if so will they drop back down? Of course the will drop back down if they do indeed go up.
So lets also think about this, Better donation item= less gold? Okay lets look at some facts.
Hmm...These june items sure do suck.......I dont think I shall donate any more money this month. Less letters
HOMG WTF BBQ?! These Mar 05's ROCK MY FRIGGIN SOCKS OFF. I'm donating 50$ dollars to gaia! More letters
What makes the items go up in price? Well....If there are 10 Nitemare scarfs on gaia and 5 users..Guess what....People are going to want it more. I believe its something like "Access in demand" Or something. What am I getting at? Well...The more of one item there are the more people will be able to get it, lowering prices, the less items there all the more they will probably cost.
SO! Lets think into a year from now. Now I know what some of you may be thinking, is Hellz actually trying to say that the items that we all dislike and there are so little of them because they suck might be worth more then the items which we all know and love and have a bajillion of them?
So what i'm thinking is even though the june 2005's sucked...Well the friggin pokemon bone helm did atlest, they MAY just be worth more then the May '05's
Its a crazy thought I know. But there are indeed less Junes then there are May's
Back onto topic May's some of you might've been around in may 2004, I know I was...Horrible month..Just horrible..Every one wanted these cool mays so any ways ill use a personal example that makes me laugh. A friend of mine met someone who was going to be donating a lot of gold.....300 letters worth. So any ways the friend got 300 letters at 2.5g each hoping to make quite a bit of profit. What happens? OUCH THE ITEMS SUCKED A BIG ONE! So they thought oh the items will go up its okay. Hahaha quite a few months letter still down there.
What i'm getting at is since i'm guessing that there are less may 2004's then 2005's due to a larger number of gaians now then back then and the much wanted '05's will the may '04's pass them? surprised I mean the demand should be higher. And maybe one day it will
To conclude I think the items which suck a** will indeed maybe be worth more then the cooler items in the future.
Back to the may '05's I'd like to hear opinions on which do you think will be a more perfered item, the guitar of demona's or the angellus's Now lets see
Truthfuly what I think is the Demona's will be higher, although the item only is semi high because of how it is worn on the back (Looks kickass in my opinion) But lets see the Demonic one has a touch of well....Demon and people like that, and the hand thing looks cool as well. ALTHOUGH I thnk that more Guitars of demona will be opened...Guess what....Higher demand on the angellu's rofl

Okay as I was saying, the Demona's seem to be more perfered, hence in the long run probably going to make them worth less, less look way back to june 2004, such great examples there, the pendants were seriously kick a**, like people weren't really into the horns but they loved the pendants, so many were opened. Guess what? A year later there are more pendants then horns! Hoshizzle the horns are worth more now.
Will the same thing happen to the guitars? Who knows. Is the only reason they are going up because of how they are worn on the back? Will it matter? Hmm hmm hmm.
Now to contridict myself I will use another example: Oct 2003, Dare I say "Devil tail?" Oh I dare. Oh a serious level i'm pretty sure that there are more Devil tails then angelic sashes. Why are there more tails? Once again demonic look and you can also not wear the sash with ports or DJ's if I recall..
What am I getting at? That even though no one in there right mind would open a oct 2003 for a sash it would be considered a waste and a huge loss of profit. But what i'm thinking is will the angelic sashes be worth more in the long run due to there being less? Or will the fact that the richies can't wear them with Ports or Dj's bring them down? Nobody knows.
Okay now I just forgot what I was talking about...Hmm May 2005's...Will the angellus's make a break for it in the end and be worth more due to there being less?
As I have stated I think the items that kinda suck will be worth more in the long run due to there being less of them.
Hmm hmm hmm....Well it seems i've been writing for a long while so I need to take this point in the post to have a little time to party on down okay......*Sings* Sky rockets at night, after noon delight dodododo *sing/parties on down* ....Okay that was scary but i'm done.
Back to the may's weeee. I've noticed with the may 05's that the demonic one is slightly favored of course as I stated above BUT! Not by much, yet the letter is still favored? Why? Fear maybe? I think people really do fear what happened with the Devil tails and angelic sashes. Example
I am a collector, my goal is to hit 50 may/guitars I get 20 mays 25 guitars of demona and 5 of angellus and leave them to grow in value. UH OH 1 year later the guitar of demona is worth 3mill and the angellus at 5mill! Oh s**t I just lost like 500million gold or something. All because I didnt upgrade those guitars...*emo tear*
So.....Is it fear? Or maybe just the fact that some people collect JUST THE LETTERs for there collection? Who knows? Not I? I have my opinions.
And yeah thats my rant.

Okay well I would like to rant about the admin/mod haters.
Now i'm sure this has been a topic on many forums but since i'm ranting I thought i'd throw my thoughts down.
First some simple problems.
No admins = no gaia
No Mods= Exchange being chatter box....I like to call it change box XD
So lets give an example "Oh no gaia is so addicting and the admins have taken time out of their lives to fix this bug and its going to take them 20 mins! No gaia for me. God I hate the admins for being so dumb and having bugs" .....Ahem that person sucks. As I stated. No admin no gaia.
Seriously this is what? The biggest forum in the world now? I heard that some where. We have like....8 Admins. Currect me if im wrong i'm guessing...Jab..Vo..Ling...Dri....L0cke..Dark...72...Other..guy. Yeah yeah 7-8 what ever.
Now 7-8 guys/girls.....Made a site......The site holds 2 million people. Lets see..Onto more the background of this girl.....Profit. These 7-8 guys/girls have 2million members to take care of. Lets say 1mill of them donate 10$ each.....Thats a lot of profit let me tell you what. Note they do sink it back into the site but its a fine living for doing something they love.
What I am not saying is they sit back and relax. They work their asses off. Maybe thats why they have such low post counts? They dont have time to post! Or maybe they just dont wanna deal with "Omg its you <3333" Users.
Any ways they work really hard at it still!
The mods
Okay talk about little mini angels. Unlike the most of the admins they moderators do NOT get paid meaning yes they are talking time out of their lives and helping you with your problems. They aren't getting paid. They are doing it out of free will. So when I hear these "Oh that stupid mod hasn't replied yet" Yeah your retarded. Lets pretend there are 500 mods, due to me not knowing just how many there are off the top of my head, 500 mods.....2million users, is something wrong with this picture?
"Oh I could be a good mod" Pfft no you couldn't shuttup you just want the power!
The mods pretty much have to know every rule off by heart. They get PM's all day i'm sure, although not so much any more due to the cool new system. Still busy busy! You try doing with that many users by yourself some of the time. Yeah not happening.
And yanno I think im done my rant for now. Note these are just MY opinions and what I have seen over gaia.
Feel free to currect me and make comments and such, im very open with this type of matter.

there are around 100+ moderators, and around 20% of them are active. Thankfully, of the 2.2 million users, only about 200,000 of them are active and not mules or failed log in accounts or people who quit.
of the 200,000 about 1 in 5-7 will be online...
so thats like 25,000-40,000 users for the Moderators to deal with.
so you have 20 moderators active, and of those 1-5 of them will actually have their "online" button turned on.
thats' about 1 mod for every thousand Gaians, and 1 in 20 gaians make complaints.
1 mod for every 50 complaints.. day in, and day out.. btw.. most of the mods are on the west coast it seems, and are in bed by the time real bad problems hit.

uhmn. mays. we determined price of mays back at a convention. I think the number we had was 10-12k. Its hard to say if this was the effect of price controlling or the effect of observation of the market, but that's what happened, and that's the number we spouted off.
What will be interesting to see, is what happens with this month's items.

Aren't the new months letters always fun? The prices get scattered and its pure profit all night for some ninja Those who have more then say....50 letters twisted have a serious advantage on the exchange.
How I think about it. When ever a new item is released its gaia's new "gold" With that item you can get pretty much what you want, if you have enough of it wink
Example. I love may 2005 letters. Last month I hate 30-40 june letters that I had bought earlier in the month off the vend.
The items sucked. People wanted them, so I used my "Gaia gold" And traded 20 of my junes for the much liked May 2005's XD

Responding to your first post, true that the better item, more people will donate but with something as large scale as this, people don't even notice the supply part of "supply and demand". They just demand, and the ones with those items can do whatever they want. In fact, the only time I see supply really come into the picture is with new even items, since anyone who is online can basically get one. Also, REALLY old items are in lower supply of course, like the 2003 items.

Keakealani I am the mod in question. I disabled his signature not because someone reported it but because I happened to see it in the forums. I have a very small resolution monitor and therefore even the smallest violations are noticable. I did respond to this PM and I feel that before you unfairly judge mods that you let me have my say in the matter. Quote: Frankly, I don't have the power to change that. Also, the selection process for helpers would have to be a lot stricter because the more power they have the more selective we would have to be. Until you know all the issues faced among the staff, I suggest it is better not to comment as you really don't know what you're talking about and I find it offensive that you think I'm incompentent and inexperienced.

First off... Hammi and Bammi Hats? Please... Sealed Letters are worth more then those...
And there will be Wings on your back, but it won't come in a letter. You need to gather multiple items to get them or something like that... Thats what I heard. (The same source has been dead-on about every other new feature to hit Gaia.)
