The Storm

In a storm comes to stay for the night,
Roaring with thunder, kids in the fright.
To some this storm is a sweet lullaby,
To others a nightmare, so much they could cry.
~
Delve into darkness, clouds fill the sky.
Another night awake to live in this lie.
Wait until morn, with birds flying high.
Yet that is too long. Why, oh God, why?
~
Midnight has passed and still I'm awake,
And still I lay waiting for daylight to break.
A jewel of light, not seen in the air.
Can't anyone help me, does anyone care?
~
Delve into darkness, clouds fill the sky.
Another night awake to live in this lie.
Wait until morn, with birds flying high.
Yet that is too long. Why, oh God, why?

Still the storm roars with all of its might.
The time showing end to the pain staking night.
But there's something breaking through rain,
A shear shread of light to bring end to this pain.

9 - that was really poignant. The only thing was that the rhyme scheme changed in the "chorus" (for lack of better word) part (aka the repeated part). Verses = aabb. Chorus = aaaa. Other than that, that was very passionate. Good job ^^
