I was wondering if anyone else read this series. It's 12 books long and is a vampire series. It's very well written in my opinion and there are lots of twists in the plot that you would never expect!

What age group would you say that series is geared for????

I saw it at the library but wasn't really sure about it...

It was originally written for younger teens, around 13, but as it progressed it turned it to a young adult book series. Most people I see reading this are around 17.

I agree, the first book could be read from anywhere from 12-18 though the book slowly progresses to a more 15+ crowd. You should really start reading them!

I'm glad you all think they're good.
My friend just lent me the first ones and i wasn't too sure about whether to read them or not.

Hi omg they are an amazing series of books. Darren Shan has also written a demon series (in the process of writing) if thats more your thing or you liked his vampire ones try these in my opinion they arent as good but still worth the resd.

The vampire series though AMAZING!

Is this more action/adventure? The kids who ask for it at my library have all been boys.

Also: Are the vampires all of one personality type, or are there good and bad ones?

Well, it is an adventure, technically, but I know lots of girls who love it as well. It has great character and relationship development, and some moments where you want to scream "what the?!".

If you want info on the vampires (the good ones who don't kill) and their cousins the vampanese (vampires who kill), go to wikipedia. There is a link to a wiki about everything Shan there.
