Intro
Here I stand, with my black cloak on with my hood on, wearing my gray sleeveless shirt, tan cargo pants, black fingerless gloves, crescent moon necklace, and black boots. I’m in the middle of the plains of this country, Pferinia1 leaning on a lone tree with green leaves looking at the tall grass. In front of me was a city called Asrin. I escaped from Raka, my home. My brown eyes and black hair become luminous from the moonlight of the full moon as I remember those humans whom killed my parents! I bare my sharp wolf-like teeth as tears filled my eyes and rolled down my cheek. My name is Nahinwa. I am a half breed, which one does not accept in my country. I am half wolf and half human. I have a black tail of a wolf, and a pair of black wolf ears on my head. I was thought to be a demon by the villagers in Raka. When my mother and father saw my tail and ears, they were surprised. They thought the Wolf Spirit was born within me and they still loved me as their son. The villagers, however, thought of me as a demon to this world. So they continuously attempted to kill me. My father, with a lunar sword, and my mother, with a lunar staff, protected me from the villagers day after day. Then, one day… when I was ten years old, they burned down my house. Both my mother and father found no way out. With their remaining powers, they created a barrier for me and said,
“We want you to live your life fully and happily. Don’t worry about us, we’ll always be with you, we love you.”
They gave me a lunar staff and a lunar sword. They gave me a necklace with a crescent moon on it and gave me a hug. “Good bye, my son,” Was my mother’s and father’s final words. With night vision from a wolf, I was able to escape the village. Later, I managed to combine my lunar staff and lunar sword to make a lunar staff blade. The bottom of the staff had a blade like a spear. The handle of the staff was dark blue and had a crescent moon with a blue orb in the middle on top of the staff. I kneeled down on one knee and held my luminous necklace in my hand and my lunar staff blade in the other hand.
“I love you… mom… and dad…” I sniffed and I looked at the full moon and howled.

Part 1
I head to the kingdom of Asrin. I wasn't surprised by the silence of this city since it was about midnight according to the position of the moon. I walked in the streets and explored hiding my ears and tail with my cloak and hood. I suddenly heard a scream of what sounded like a girl not far from me. Shortly after, with swift speed, I ran to the alley. There a girl was surrounded by three strange demons, with horns and shadow like. I wasn't able to identify their description because of what seemed to be a shadow cloak.
The girl's tears rolled down her cheek as the demons approached her. Before they could turn around, I ran my Lunar Staff Blade, blade first, through the demon in the center. It didn't flinch on contact and nothing affected it. It turned and so did the other two. I couldn't believe it! They jumped at me but I manage to roll under them and grab the girl.
"Teleport!" I yelled
A flash appeared and teleported both the girl and I out of the village and safely in the plains away from the village. I asked the girl,
"Are you all right?"
"Yes," She softly.
"Thank you for saving me, who are you?" She said curiously
"My name is Nahinwa, I come from Raka."
"I am Cresina, Princess of Asrin."
I was a bit surprised that a princess would be outside late at night. Cresina sat in the grass on her knees as I studied her appearance. She had purple hair that was long enough to reach her shoulder blades. Her eyes were turquoise and she had a long white skirt that reached to her knees. Her shirt was white and had a sky blue diamond at the chest of the shirt. Cresina's sleeves were loose as if it were wings. She wore blue clear slippers. She seemed to be 15 years old. I spotted her weapon and identified it as a staff.
She must know something, I thought to myself.
"What are you doing out there at night?" I said with concern.
"Well..." She softly said.
"All of the villagers were being attacked. My daddy, King Rahfrid, died trying to get everyone out of the village."
I was starting to create the images in my mind.
"I saw my daddy defending my mom, but he was stabbed by a demon and my mommy was stabbed too... The demons appeared before you got here. My older brother and all the citizens were able to escape except me. When I screamed 'Mommy, Daddy' I was started to cry and the demons saw me. I... miss my mommy... and my daddy..."
Cresina sniffed then she put her hands against her eyes and cried. I felt empathy for her and I hugged her and soothingly said, "It will be alright, don't feel lonely. Just remember, your mother and father awill always be with you." Cresina sniffed and put her hands on her lap. I wiped her tears away with my gloves and made a serious look.
"We need to get to the source of the creation of these demons. I'm thinking that they only appeared at night so when the sun is up, they must be in the castle, in the lower area. So tomorrow morning, we will enter the castle, and rid the shadow demons."

Part 2
"Mother... Father..." I moaned in my sleep.
I was having a dream again as usual. It was like I was 6 years old again and I was playing outside my house with my mother and father. We were all laughing with joy and having a great time. Suddenly, two pairs of hands grabbed me and pulled me away. I yelled, "Mommy! Daddy! Help me!" I tried to struggle to get free, but I felt powerless against these hands that swiftly pulled be away. My mother and father couldn't keep up and stopped from being very tired. Both my parents hugged each other and cried while I was crying myself when I was taken away from these human hands.
"No!" I cried
I quickly got up in a sitting position with tears while my hood came off my head, revealing my ears. It was just a dream again, I thought. I wiped my tears away and turned to look at Cresina, who was looking at me curiously. I just put my hood back on and wrapped it around my head and gritted my teeth.
"Go ahead! Run away like the others! I'm a demon, like the other humans think... No one will ever accept me..." I said in a sad tone.
Cresina looked at me as I sobbed. Then she softly put her hand on my shoulder and she sat by my side. I stopped sobbing as she started rubbing my back to comfort me. Cresina told me in a soothingly, "Don't say that, I wouldn't run away from you even if you tried to eat me. You are normal like everyone else. People can be different not all of them aren't the same. What made you think that?" I sighed, and then I told her about my home, Raka, and how my parents died. She felt sorry for me and I moved my head downward.
"I'm sorry that happened, Nahinwa."
Cresina gave me a hug so swiftly, I flinched and she knocked me over. She apologized and sat back up. I thanked her for the hug and both of us said, "Good night," and slept for the rest of the night.
The next morning, we were awakened by the sunlight and walked to Asrin. On the way, we began a conversation about each other and quickly became friends. "Well," I insisted in talking about myself, "I'm 16 years old and I'm half wolf and half human. I know Elemental Arts, Wolf Techniques, Lunar Arts and I can fight with my Lunar Staff Blade."
"Well, that is interesting. As for myself, I'm 15 years old. I know Healing Arts and Arts of Light and I wield this Staff of Ligh-"
I interrupted her with a painful, "Ow!" I ran into some sort of magic barrier and slid down it to the ground with a painful look on my face. Cresina halted behind me and she couldn't help but giggle at my misfortune. I got up and pounded the magic barrier with my hand. I looked around and I saw the castle. With disappointment, I said, "Well I'll have to try another approach." I backed away ten feet from the barrier. I ran with full speed and jumped into the air ready to hit the magic barrier with my Lunar Staff Blade. Cresina suddenly saw a secret panel on the floor.
"Hmm..." She put a finger on her lip and thought, Maybe this panel will remove the magic barrier.
Cresina stepped on the panel and she forgot I was trying to break it. The barrier disappeared. I was surprised and yelled, "What?!" Before I knew it, I was falling towards a well that was eight feet deep. I began making panicking noises and face planted the bottom of the well. My ears were twitching a lot. Cresina was blushing hard as she looked down the well I fell in.
"Thanks for helping..." I moaned
"I'm very, very sorry, Nahinwa-san!"
She helped me get out of the well and I wiped myself clean. I could tell she was still blushing a bit from what happened earlier.
"I'm really sorry." She apologized again.
"I'll be fine, let’s get into the castle."
Cresina and I opened the gates. I looked in awe as I saw the golden decoration around the entrance of the castle. Cresina led the way to the stairs that led us to about ground level. Nothing seemed to be there. She opened the door at the bottom. The next room had thirteen doors, six on each of the two sides, and one door at the end. Cresina went into the door at the end as I followed her. Her Staff of Light began to glow brightly.
The room was empty. I swayed my tail back and forth. Both Cresina and I walked slowly looking around. My ears twitched from a very quiet sound only heard by me. It came from behind us.
"Look out Cresina!"
I jumped at Cresina and both of us hit the ground as a shadow object passed by. A dark and evil laughed echoed the room.
"Foolish creatures... you should have not come here..."
Another object was thrown towards us. Quickly I picked my Lunar Staff Blade and split it into two pieces.
"Why did you attack this kingdom?!" I yelled with anger.
"I have taken over this kingdom now and no one will stop me. As of the other shadows... they are currently trying to take over other kingdoms. You creatures will become extinct while we shadow demons take over Crelic!"
I located the shadow demon that took a shape of a huge goblin. I ran towards it and ran my Lunar Staff Blade through it. But nothing affected the shadow demon. I gritted my teeth with anger.
"None of your weapons and magic will ever affect me!" The demon laughed
The arms stretched like a long rope and aimed for Cresina. She gasped and held her arms in front of her head to protect herself. I jumped in front of her in time and took the damage. I was sent flying towards a wall. I hit it and fell to the ground. I struggled to my feet and breathed hard.
"You'll have to... face me first..." I said.
The Shadow Demon smiled and said, "So be it..." It appeared in front of me and punched me in the face. Again, he reappeared in front of me and hit me in the stomach multiple times. Cresina was watching in horror like she was watching her parents dying. She felt petrified and couldn't bare to see her friend getting hit. I managed to block the demon's kick and several other punches. I became exhausted and the demon found the opportunity to weaken me even more. It kicked me in the stomach and I felt a lot of pain. Blood spat out of my mouth. I slid across the ground. I felt that I couldn't get up, but I struggled up no matter how much pain I have taken. I was hacking out blood and gasped for air.
"Had enough?" The shadow demon smirked.
"You'll never defeat me... I won't let you... get to... Cresina..." I smirked back through my pain.
"Nahinwa..." Cresina softly whispered.
Cresina's tears were rolling down here cheek. The demon thrown a punch at me, but I managed to roll out of the way putting a hole in the wall. Sunlight came through and the shadow demon's skin was burning. It panicked and moved away from the sunlight.
"Want more...?" I smiled weakly.
I hit the wall hard enough so the cracks appear and the sunlight shines through the entire room. The demon was gasping and tried to escape. The sunlight got it before it could escape. The demon was burning all over and exploded into gas like balls. Then it disappeared. I finally defeated the shadow demon. Exhausted, I turned around to face Cresina, who was starting to calm down, and smiled. I fell to the ground and I heard "Nahinwa!" As I was falling, my vision blurred and saw Cresina running towards me. As she kneeled beside me, my eyes slowly closed.

Part 3 I began to open my eyes. On one side of the bed, was Cresina sitting on the bed next to me and a guy standing next to the bed. Cresina turned around and began to smile happily as she saw me open my eyes. She put her soft, smooth, warm hands on my arm. I smiled back and thanked her. I sat up on the side of my bed and stretched my arms and tail while my ears twitched a little.
"Thank you for getting rid of these demons," The man said. "I am Prince Haklid. Well, soon I will take my father's place and become King Haklid. I am Cresina's brother as well. Now my Kingdom and its people can live normally. For that, everyone will let you get what you need. You are hungry, am I correct?"
I nodded and answered, "Well, its been a while since I ate. Thank you, your Majesty."
"Nahinwa...." Cresina shyly said. "Is it alright if I traveled with you?" I knew she was blushing.
"Of course, you are my friend after-"
"Thank you!!" Cresina hugged me.
Again, I flinched she happily knocked me down just like the last time.
"Oh.... sorry." She sheepishly said as she got off of me and looked away quickly with shyness.
My eyes blinked twice and my right ear moved to the right. I got up and stretched again. I nodded to Cresina to follow. I opened the door to the hallway and walked to the entrance. There the guards opened the door. I looked around as the town was restored and people went around normally. Cresina took me inside a building and lead me to a table. At the table, there was food, so much that I was drooling and staring at the delicious stuff! I took an apple and took a bite, and then I took a bit at a leg of the baked turkey, and then a piece of bread. I ate so fast I could just eat them all at once! Everyone in the building was staring at me while Cresina was laughing. I turned around with my mouth food, felt embarrassed, and blushed.
"Ohb... my bery shincere abologies..." I apologized and rubbed the back of my head with my free hand.
"That was cute!' Cresina blurted and immediately blushed at what she didn't mean to say.
"What was that?" I blushed and my eyes widened at the same time.
"No! I mean... um... That was funny..." She was blushing harder with a scarlet red color.
Once we finished eating, or should I say, "When I was done eating," Cresina and I exited the building. We left town and Cresina said good bye to her brother at the gate. Cresina and I headed west to our next destination, the Sehara Desert. It toke about five days and a half to get there. It was night, and I was looking at the sky filled with a lot of stars. This time, the crescent moon was out. I smiled at the beauty of the star filled sky. Cresina sat next to me looking at the sky too.
"So... what are you doing?" She asked
"I'm just looking at the stars... and I'm looking at the crescent moon. What do you think of them?"
"I think it’s very beautiful. It’s so beautiful, I could just fly. Would it be alright if I asked you a question?"
I looked at her curiously and said, "Sure, you may go ahead and ask me."
Cresina hesitated, her hands dung into the grass and she blushed. She softly spoke.
"Do you remember me?"
I was surprised that she would ask that question when I thought I never saw her before, but I tried. I looked into her eyes and she looked into mine. I scanned my past for her. I was in Raka again. There I was, all young and still growing. I looked very lonely back then. All I saw was the angry villagers in my memories. Then, I saw a little girl with a purple hair sneaking to my house to visit me. Then it hit me. She was my only and best childhood friend. I started to wag my tail swiftly.
"Cresy Moon? Is that really you?" I use to call her by that name and felt so surprised.
"Yes it is, Wolfy! I'm so happy you remembered me!"
Cresina hugged me tightly and I returned it even though I felt like I wasn't able to breathe. I released the hug and looked at her again.
"You've really changed a lot since we last met, but I think its time to go to sleep. Its already midnight according to the position of the moon."
Cresina nodded as both of us lay down in the grass.
"Good night, Cresy." I smiled and yawned
"Good night, Nahinwa-san." She smiled back.
I closed my eyes and Cresina scooted closer to me and fell asleep.
