Hitomi looked at the sand with scorn. It was getting everywhere! In her hair, between her toes, and if she waded into the ocean, more would just stick to her wet paws. This was a dreadful place to be grooming wise, but the scenery was to die for. A clear blue sky hung over her head while the white seafoam broke onto the golden sand. Hitomi smirked, as she looked at the sun shining on the endless landscape.
She was so much prettier.....

 Amphetamine walked down the huge spiral stair case leading from the top of the lighthouse, down towards the exit door. He scoffed as he shook his head.
"Another day another dollar... not that I really get paid but..." he mummered as he pushed open the door and squinted his eyes quickly.
" I am far to fair for this sunlight"
As he wandered down the beach he would whisper snide remarks as he passed the few people still on the beach. " And they think they are beautiful. Humph".
He walked out onto the jetty and laid against the warm rocks. The breeze was cool here and the light misting of the water as it crashed added to a more comfortable atmosphere. He could see out and down the coastline from here.
He was quiet and calm, closing his eyes and basking. His tail glistening and soaking up the sun.

Hitomi watched droves of people come and go, much like the tide that threatened to get her wet, but always receeded at the last second, as though it dare not to touch her and invoke her endless wrath. She could feel her fur warming beneath her garments as the sun passed from east to west, reflecting off of her hair and pendant.
As she turned her head to survey what she had staked out as her domain, she spotted another Ulaya, and scoffed that he had deemed himself worthy of her presence. Hitomi stood and walked over, head held high and hair in perfect order, to confront this lone male.

This was His beach and Amphetamine knew this, well at least held this to be true, to himself. As he layed there in the sun, soaking it up. The jewel on his tail glew slightly in the light. Opening his eyes and pawing at his glasses to adjust them, he cut his eyes out along the beach. He was going to make sure no one was going to bother him. It had been a long day and he would be damned if anyone was going to make it even longer.
Just as he tilted his head to the left, there she was. His eyes cut even lower as he curled his upper lip slightly. Who does she think she is... he thought to himself as he watched this premadona of a Ulaya make her way across the sand towards him. I hope she trips on that long jacket of hers, He snickered, she thinks she's better than me. "Hmph" he snorted as he crossed his paws and layed his head back down.

Hitomi kept her head held high and her clothing and hair in check as she glided towards this trespasser on her domain. When she came upon him, she blocked out the sun from his face while she said nothing. Her plan of attack was to make him speak first, then she could give him a biting remark in return that would force him off this golden paradise.
Her eyes flew as she scrutinized his appearance. Perfectly messy hair, a tail that rivaled the beauty of sheen that her pendant did, and glasses that hung on his nose much like a butterfly on a delicate flower. She hated him.
Or rather.....envied him?

As he laid there his eyes closed, but his ears, ever listening. He heard her approaching a mile away. While her steps were very much dignified, it was obvious she had trouble in the sand. Not only that but the soft scraping sound her clothing made across the sand was a dead give away. Keeping his head down he twiched slightly as she wandered into his bubble.
His claws became slightly more pronounced as she blocked his sun. He sniffed the air quietly. She obviously bathes to much he thought. Listening to her breathing, a small smirk swiped across his face as he lifted his head and looked up at the beauty that stood before him. Cutting his eyes at her and rolling them down her body he examined her, his smirk dissapearing as he rolled over and layed his head back down.
She was obviously...not worth his time.

Hitomi laid down in front of the yellow male, head sitting on crossed paws and hair falling to one side. This was a standoff she would not lose......Even though they were both laying down....
She was staring at him as neither of them stirred in the ever-moving landscape of the beach and he refused to open his eyes. Hitomi thought first about him, but then drifted off on random tangets of thought until she was in another place, but still enthralled by this male.

He listened entintly as she placed herself besides him. How dare she place herself in his bubble. He laid there, There was no point in giving in and making a fuss. He was determined though to make her, make the first move. His tail twitched as the sun grew closer to the ground. He gently ran his claws along the rocks as he stretched his shoulder blades, opening one eye and adjusting his head he looked at the female.
Why is she trying to bother me, he pondered as he snuffed the air.

Hitomi felt herself drifting off to sleep, but to prevent this she opened her eyes, both of hers meeting his one that was un-obscured by the purple and white shock of hair. She stared into his eye, bored very quickly, but silent as ever. He was going to have the first word in this meeting.

Why wont she speak, the thought as he grew aggrivated. He stared at her flicking his tail angrly in a sharp twitch. He ran his claws along the rocks slowly, making a high pitched scraping sound. He huffed quickly as he contemplated his next corse of action. Watching, Waiting... Finally it hit him. He knew what he would do. Jerking his shoulders quickly, he stood. Towering over her as she lay. He curled his lip as his tail twitched more violently. He extended his claws and quickly whacked her, running his paw across her face and landing it in her hair, pinning her down by her hair.

Hitomi jolted as she felt the impact, yelping slightly and cursing him for it. She stood, head bent down slightly as she tried not to let her hair get pull anymore, and glared at the yellow male. Thoughts raced through her mind, most of them containing profanities, all of them as loud in her head as her pounding heart. She looked up at him, mouth twisting into a smirk trying to give the illusion of having the upper hand.

His smirk twisted along his face as his pupils grew wide. He laughed as he watched her stand and using his nails swiped his hand out of her hair, tangling it. "Your Funny...Kitten" he scoffed his voice deep and crackly. His eyes narrowed as he turned himself around and slowly headed back down the pier.

Hitomi growled, head shooting up, ignoring the slight headache that was creeping up on her. She took the tie out of her hair in an attempt to solve her problem. The other half of that fix was to, as much as it pained her, wet her hair. She padded into the ocean, where she turned to glare at the male again, but was hit with a large wave. She lurched out of the water, hair hanging straight and clothes sticking to her back. Hitomi chortled, "Kitten.....Moron" she said, as she followed the male to plot some revenge.

He walked slowly, but kept his head high, he listened carefully and occasionally took a glance back and snickered to himself. She really is a moron, the thought as he secretly smiled. The idea that though he may have lost the silent game but he did infact win the war, made him smile. He made his way back up towards the lighthouse. Giving the children in the area odd looks as they looked at him and ran. For most people, they found him creepy.
He rarely left the light house and when he did it was to just lay out in the sun. Re hardly talked to anyone and when he did it was usally in a cold and condesending manner and never from a female. He had little experiance and because of his tail and how it collected the light, his job was set from birth. There home after all did need some light in the dark.
Nearing the steps of the lighthouse he stopped in the doorway, waiting the females approach.

Hitomi caught on to his game. He was going to wait for her to do more mean things. Her ears flattened against her head in disdain and she chortled at his rudeness. Hitomi promptly stopped dead in her tracks and turned in the other direction. She was determined to win another little contest that they had going between them. She turned her back on him and began to groom herself, ignoring any stares she might get from humans, animals, or the scarce passing ulaya.
