The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.
We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we voyage so far.

This is another one of Vogue's [sometimes disasterous] harebrained ideas.

If my fellow crew members don't agree, they can systematically bite the reflective surface of my white a**.

So! We don't have too many members...

While we're still small, we should really take the time to make the guild as awesome as possible, for great justice in the future.

I want the ideas of you, our loyal minions, on what could make this guild a better place.

Sure, we're tryign to become more organized, but that can seem a trifle.

Give us your opinions!

What can we, your loving, and dedicated crew, do for you that would make this place rock so hard it'd make the ears of your children bleed for three generations?

BE REALISTIC.

This is your chance to b***h and nit-pick about the guild without me trying to kill you.

Just remember, kids: Nobody likes a suckup.

[And no, we're not going to make anyone else a mod, so save it.]

The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us a little;
but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up
such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein,
that we shall either go mad from the revelation, or flee from the deadly light
into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Well...Legion X can do a weekly comic.

a comic about the legion, it's members, some of X's unkown adventures.
The artists would have lots of fun making this and I can help make it. ^-^

I could also help, but there's no guarentee it'd be weekly. rofl

I think that the best thing we can do for the guild is have more fully developed theories and plots.

We could probably use a comicbook discussion section, maybe even a video game section.

I don't think we need more subforums. We've got plenty and we're plenty spread out as it is.

I think growth and betterment depends mostly on the activity and contributions of all of our members, not just our crew.

Like I said in my other thread, we need to get to know eachother some how.

Don't worry, I wasn't going to ask to be a mod. Why be a mod..... when you can be a Captain??? Ahahahah...ha? <-smacks herself.

Anyways, so yes. There is something missing. But. I just can't put my finger on it. Admittedly, the main guild I belonged to before was very small, and didn't sadly go very far so I can't really provide that much feedback as to what makes a super-awesome and eventually large guild.

Maybe, its the core of our substance we need to tinker with. Our theories are great. We have tons of ideas floating around, so its not like our guild is moving away from its original purpose by any means. Maybe if anything we should promote any kind of theory. I mean, yes we have a main focus on X, and several theorizes that slightly branch away, but Gaia is a rich place of ideas, and we should definately explore them all, since I (I could be wrong here, so please correct me if so) think we are the first THEORY guild I've seen. Also, because, though I'd hate to see it, what is X isn't alive, and our guild flounders becuause our sole reason for existance is based on X and we end up losing the friendships many of us are just forming now because of the guild.

Aside from our theories, maybe we just need more fullness. Blind mentioned this before, but maybe we should make a more defined bunch of threads based on the members. Threads that promote who we are behind the avatars as in terms of hobbies, likes, dislikes, but also more games, creative projects, that are non connected to main purpose of the guild, encouraging people to connect more. A little freelance RPing can be good as well, so people can god mod to their hearts content.

The only other thing I might suggest, though I could be seeing this in the wrong light, is you might want to encourage further female members into the guild. We are here to be sure, but I think the balance is swayed over to the male side. That might be as simple as offering female models for the guild outfits, since from tekteking, the looks might not be equilivent and therefore could be offputting for any hesistent new female members.

So... yes... Sorry if that was terribly long winded, but I tried to give something constructive anyway. If not, eh, ignore it. heart

I think we've branched far enough that we don't need X to be alive, but we're still close enough to that idea that we have all these theories involving him. If X in fact turned out to really be dead (and I doubt the Admins would ever confirm someone 100% never ever coming back), then we'd be just fine. If anything the X Lives thread would be the only thing to suffer somewhat, and we're versatile enough to where we can manage to make that work.

X Lives may have been what started this guild, but I don't think it's what rules it. We were based off of that idea, yes, but we are not 100% focused on that alone.

You'll get no arguement from me on this.
And thread is just fine, we don't need a whole subforum dedicated to it. Maybe just sticky a thread that we can all chat in.

A prime reason for this is that there just aren't enough females that are interested in the plot and are willing to contribute to discussions on it. I'm sure there are some more out there, I just haven't seen any.

Thanks for the wall, I needed something to break apart and discuss. cool
