My freind and I were talking about cosplay as we always seem to be nowadays, and he mentioned he wanted to cosplay someone from Narato (I'm not a Narato fan) but anyways, he felt like he coudln't because he was too heavy. I said pfft! cosplay away! We don't all look like the charactors we love, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't cosplay them.
Then he goes on to tell me about using cosplay as a modivation to loose weight. He feels his cosplay will be that much better, and he will feel better about himself in the long run. I can't seem to find a modivation to loose weight, or get fit. I need to though, so I started to think yea. I can also use cosplay as a modivation. In the future...future I plan to cosplay Leeloo from the 5th element --> maybe for halloween NExt year or something and well I'm very self-concious about my mid section, and my hips. They are so big and my gut sorta kinda hangs out...it's not what I would feel comfertable with if I would wear a short shirt.. So...maybe that will modivate me to loose weight. I think whatever modivates you to live a healthy life, and be fit or loose weight, more power to ya!
arrow Anyone else been modivated by cosplay to loose weight? arrow Do you think it's that important? arrow Have you ever done any quick weight loss tecniques for certain cosplays? IF so what did you do?

arrow Anyone else been modivated by cosplay to loose weight? Me!!! When I cosplayed Sakkon and Marluxia. I looked so fat on the Sakkon cosplay. sad
arrow Do you think it's that important? Not really, but I do hate how the people flock over to the more "fit" people. >< Also, my Marluxia costume is a cloak that is made to my exact measurements, so i can feel when i've gained or lost. ._.' arrow Have you ever done any quick weight loss tecniques for certain cosplays? IF so what did you do? I play DDR!! I set the workout mode to 400kcal and dance away. It really helps, and it gives you practice if you ever want to play at the conventions.

arrow Anyone else been modivated by cosplay to loose weight? Umm I haven't been to a con before but I don't think I should lose much weight. My belly disappeared ever since I started on my depression and ADHD meds. I kind of miss it. arrow Do you think it's that important? Not really. Cause I got nothing much to lose. arrow Have you ever done any quick weight loss tecniques for certain cosplays? IF so what did you do? Nope I haven't. I don't like things like that. All I have to do is meet with my old friend veggies! And maybe sleep. Sleep usually makes me miss meals sometimes XP

Oh indeed. I've been wanting to cosplay Velvet from Odin Sphere but wanted to shed a few tummy pounds first. Although I don't think losing weight is nessisary for a good cosplay, I understand the desire too, especially if it's a somewhat revieling costume. Even if it isn't though, I can understand how someone with some extra belly might want to loose weight simply to be a better look-alike to their character. I don't think it's at all nessisary though. I would rather see an over-weight cosplayer wearing a well-made costume than someone with a perfect body dressing in something of poor quality. And of course in any competition for craftmanship, no one will care how skinny you are. If they do, they shouldn't be judging.
But of course, I do think it's still a good motivation. And although I don't have any good tips, I think as long as you do it in a healthy way (no starving yourself before the big convention! scream ), then go for it!

I wish it would be a bigger modivation for me, I just hate to excersize, but I also hate to see my numbers increasing on the scale.
My dad told me today I looked bigger. gonk

I'm not fat, but I'm not skinny either. I want to cosplay Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist, so I probably ought to lose some weight. (since my midriff would be exposed for the WHOLE CONVENTION)
