 A small beta with bright green fins and just as bright marking twirled in an excited manner. The night was closing in quickly on her and that meant one thing…. glow sticks showed up! It was at this time that she could dance till her heart was content, or till day broke over the horizon, whichever one came first. Twirling delightedly the little female darted into her cave and emerged with dozen of green glow sticks and began to twirl them.
Once she got into rhythm the female herself began to spin and twirl till it looked like she had green lights wrapped around her body. When she stopped she began working on her tricks spinning and twisting the toys of hers into strange intricate patterns that light up the water around her.
Her neon pink eyes were glittering in pure delight as she worked on her tricks, sure this would have been easier with hands and arms but for now she could do it all just fine with her fins.

Seeing the surface of the water get a bit darker, Apollo peeked out from his lurking spot. He brought a fin up to readjust the helmet that rested on his head as he slipped out further into the water.
Once fully out, he stretched out his red, speckled tail fins, swimming in few circles to unravel them. After finishing, he swam deeper into the tanks, wondering what he would find this time.
No one in his tanks understood why he seemed to avoid everyone... at least in the morning and day hours, but they rarely questioned it. It was mainly because by the time night came around, he wasn't.
Soft green eyes scoped about for any sign of something interesting as he swam deeper into the tank. Noticing something glow in the distance seemed to do the trick. With a curious tilt of his head, he turned and headed toward the source of the mysterious glow.

The little female never noticed the male approaching where she played so happily with her toys, she continued to spin and twirl her glow sticks in crazy patterns delighting at the way the swirls of light danced in the water.
She spun around putting her back to the approaching male continuing her delightful little dance.
As the sun sunk farther away down into the horizon, the glow light up not only the water surrounding the female but her body as well making the neon green fins and other accents shine fluorescently in their dancing twirling light.
Glowstick was unsure if she was one of the prettiest fish in the sea but she did love her markings just like her brother adored his.

Now swimming closer, the speckled male could barely see that the glowing was caused by another fish. The pink eyes distinguished the other from the luminating neon green glow.
Once he was certain that the other was at least a fish, Apollo stayed back and watched. The pattern the other was creating. It was quite alluring. He remained silent, not wanting to bother her or scare her in anyways, tail flicking lightly.

After growing a little tired Glowstick set her toys down and settled down on a rock for a short rest. She knew her glow sticks would only last long enough for her to play all night with them but it didn’t bother her in the least, she had plenty more at home plus her fathers were always buying more.
After a moment she felt the eyes on her and turned her head to see the speckled male fish watching her. She smiled sweetly at him and swam closer before chirping out a “hi!” in a happy voice. She had the biggest grin on her face and her tail fin flicked excitedly at the prospect of the possibility he might wanna dance too.

He continued watching her silently, even after putting the glowing sticks down. He was curious of to what they were... well, what they were for mostly.
When she turned and saw him, he backed up some. He wasn't sure if she would get made about being 'spied' upon, so he prepared for the worse. But surpisingly, when she swam up to him, she greeted him. With a small blink, he bowed his head in greeting, "Hello."

"I'm Glowstick, it's a pleasure to meet you ...uhm whats your name" she gave an embaressed look beofre a small crossed her face again. She was constantly flicking her fins and seemed so feel of energy and life soemtimes it almost became addictive to those aorund her.
She waited for him to give her his name so she could speak to him properly, that was if he wanted to give her his name. If he didn't that was fine she guessed sh could just call him sir or soemthing like that then.

Apollo had almost forgotten his manners. In his curiousity about what she was doing, he had almost forgotten to give her his name. "The name's Apollo. It's a pleasure to meet you Lady Glowstick."
Now, just because he tended to be elusive, didn't mean he was rude... especially to a lady. He knew much better, especially after having hearing that some girls like getting payback after being treated wrongly. He didn't want to risk that what so ever, so he treaded cautiously.

She giggled again "it's nice to meet you Apollo, has the day faired you well?" She was slowly calming down again as her heart rate slowed. "Do you like to dance?" it might have been a strange question but she was a strange girl and besides it was always good to know what your friends liked to do, wasn't it?

"Well... to be honest, my day has been rather droll. I don't often come out while the sun is out." Apollo explained, already getting himself ready for her to call him some sort of weirdo or something like that. He seemed to be shunned slightly by his family for that little quirk of his, so he came to expect it from others too. At her question, he blinked a bit. "Dance? Me? Well, I've never danced before."

"Really? I don't like the sun much eather because it dulls the glow from my prized glowsticks. The night is so much better for dancing if you ask me." She giggled slightly and flicked her tail fins happily. She has a bubbly beta though at the same time she could be calm when she needed and wanted too. When she heard him say he'd never danced she blinked "well I guess I can teach ya if you want me too."

"The day is just too bright for my tastes, though I can tolerate it if it's cloudy." He just nodded when she said that the night was so much better for dancing, again, not knowing much of the subject. It was when she offered to teach him how to, was when he blinked in surprise. "Really? I mean, I don't want to be a burden to you if you want to continue your dance you were doing a few moments ago."

"I agree, I'm far more of a night fish the moonlight is so beautiful when it reflects off the water." She smiled and flicked her tail fins "I'd love to teach you! that way we could dance together." Glowstick smiled sweetly at him, "that is if you want to learn."

Apollo nodded in agreeance to her statement about the moon reflecting on the surface of the water. He glanced up for a moment at that moment. The moon didn't seem to be out tonight, but it was still nice none the less. Glancing back to her, he smiled nervously, hoping he didn't mess anything up while she was teaching him. "I would greatly appreciate that."

Glowstick giggled then paused for a moment trying to figure out how to teach him to dance. "Well! Dancing is really all about feeling the music and moving your body in a manner you like. For me thats swinging mys glow sticks in crazy manners, for others it could be weaving around or shaking their tail fins. It all depend son how the music makes you feel." She hoped that had made sense to him.
