So, here's the thing. I've been thinking that Nocturne may be a sequel to DDS 1-2. Is that true, or is Nocturne a prequel to DDS, or are they simply unrelated with a similar story to it.

There's a possibiliy the whole bit is just a shadow of DMC, seeing as Dante was in Nocturne, but then again, that was simply a kameo made from an agreement with Capcom.

Anyway, the main question is; are the Shin megami tensei series related to eachother, plotwise, or are they all in seperate realms? I've only played the DDS series and wikipediaed Nocturn and the first Shin megami Tensei. Get back to me on thatm anyone.

Nocturne came before DDS. Additionally, they're separate series..Shin Megami Tensei is the core series, and DDS is one of it's many spin-offs, like Persona or Devil Summoner (Think Final Fantasy to Final Fantasy Tactics).

*SLIGHT DDS1 SPOILER* There is a brief reference in DDS1 of Nocturne though, which is the Demi-Fiend (having taken the True Demon ending) appearing to fight the heroes, than leaving a brief message and letting you get a secret ring in DDS2.

That leads me to believe that the MegaTen universes CAN interact, but not necessarily in canon to the story.

Actually, didn't the DDS crew fight the demi-fiend in the amala passage? I tend to think that the room was some sort of wormhole into the amala passage (sorry I can't remember exactly what it's called), and they showed up as demons that the demi-fiend encountered while he was trying to run through it.
