Shuichi Shindou is a man that the royal family of the Renaissance Galaxy is going to feature if ever there was a time he ever had to suddenly part from Yuki and was forced to become a farmer in Flower Bud Village.

Chapter 1: A new farming life and the dream

Years has gone by and Shuichi Shindou sets out onto a new adventure. Shuichi, now 30 years old, had a note in his hand that was his last letter from Eiri Yuki. It read, Shuichi, I am going to go away for a while, a very long while. Do not blame yourself for this, but I am committing suicide. I just cannot deal with life's stresses anymore. I know you have tried to cheer me up, but after many years of trying, I just cannot be happy with life. I am sorry, goodbye. PS. Travel west from here until you meet up with a man named Theodore. He will help you start your life without me. Yours always, Yuki.

Shuichi had tears in his brown eyes as he traveled West. He brought along one rucksack with five spaces free of stuff. He came along a sign that said, "Welcome to Flower Bud Village. New Ranch hand wanted. Want to experience a life time of fun? Want to enjoy a peaceful life for a change? Sign up for the Exciting Ranch plan. See Mayor Theodore for more details."

Shuichi thought, "Mayor Theodore is the man Yuki told me about...hmm...could I be...?"

Just then, a man with a big, black tall hat approached. "Hello!" He said, "Welcome to Flower bud Village. I am Mayor Theodore. Now, what was your name again?"

Shuichi gulped and thought, "This is the man Yuki wanted me to see? He sure is ugly looking." But, Shuichi put on a fake smile and said, "It's Shuichi. I wondered about this Exciting Ranch plan."

Theodore jumped for joy and threw confetti into Shuichi's hair. "Wonderful! You are here for that? Well, why didn't you say so? In that case, I will give you a free plot of land, but only one for free. You may choose from these three available plots..."

As Theodore listed them, Shuichi's thought mode kicked in. The first option was the Village Center. Shuichi asked to see it first. So, Theo showed him. From what Shuichi could tell, there were many buildings nearby. There was the Medical Clinic, the Mayor's house, an animal ranch, and a tool shop. Plus the town square was super close. Thinking it was going to be too noisy, Shuichi asked to hear what the second plot of land was.

Mayor Theodore showed Shuichi the River side plot. It was right next door to the River, but also the animal ranch. Shuichi then thought about how stinky it was going to get. What if the plumbing backed up in combination with the animal smells? Shuichi thought, "Gross! Not here!"

Shuichi then asked to see the last available plot. They made a decent walk all the way down to the ocean. The beach! Yay! Shuichi was a bit happier now. This plot of land was perfect! He could think about Yuki while watching the sunsets. It was excellent for good fishing! And, heh heh heh, if he did find someone to replace Yuki, a woman this time, he could make love to her on the sand. As the dirty thoughts came to mind, he said to Theodore, "I want the Ocean Side plot."

Theo replied, "Very well then, let me explain a few laws first before I show you your house."

Theo went into a long-winded explanation of the laws. Shuichi wasn't really listening to them. He was too busy thinking about Yuki. He thought, "Yuki, did you want me to settle down as a farmer? Is that really why you wanted me here?"

A breeze from the ocean told Shuichi that the answer was yes.

Then Theo began to show Shuichi the house. It was a small little shack! In his mind, Shuichi thought, "Oh great, back to the poor house again. This better be worth it Yuki!"

There were clouds in the distant that rumbled, meaning, "Do not take that tone with me, Shuichi. Trust me, it will be worth it."

Theo left shortly after that and Shuichi began arranging his furniture around. Tears developed into his eyes as he knew that there was no turning back now. He could not stop thinking about Yuki. He began to mourn for his now dead husband.

That night, as Shuichi fell asleep, Shuichi began to dream. In his dream, he saw this beautiful figure. She had wings as light as feathers, hair as pink as Shuichi's hair was at one point. It had changed brown for some reason lately, his hair did. Her eyes were purple, like Shuichi's eyes too once were. This was the figure, his dream figure of what his inner thoughts were. Gorgeous to say the least.

But then, in this dream, something sad was happening. The beautiful figure spoke. She said, "People forget how to appreciate...they forgot kind thoughts...the heart to believe..."

Tears welled up again in Shuichi's eyes as his own inner thoughts were being vocalized to him on how he was viewing the world at this point. The figure continued to speak. She said, "The heart to love..."

Shuichi's side thoughts said, "Oh no...here it comes...."

The woman said, "And...my existance."

Out loud, in pure darkness Shuichi half way in the dream world, half way awake, he screamed, "noooooooooooo!!!!!!!"

The dream then continued as the beautiful figure turned into stone!

Three little creatures appeared then. All with little elf ears. They were sprites! The one in Blue reminded him of Hiroshi. Hiroshi always did love to wear that blue dress shirt.

The one in yellow reminded him of Suguru. "Suguru?" He voiced aloud.

The one in red was the most familiar of them all. It was Ryuichi Sakano! No! Not him too! He turned into a Harvest Sprite? Wait, Shuichi thought, what if they are on my side. Maybe they still care...

The dream continued. Ryuichi said as his character name became Arthur, "Gah!!! The Harvest Goddess! She's turned to stone!!!"

Shuichi's side thoughts: Harvest Goddess? Was this what my inner beauty is called? Wow!

Hiro as Billy and Suguru as Carlos both agreed with the fact that the beloved Harvest goddess had turned to stone.

More tears came to Shuichi's already stinging eyes. This beautiful figure, this harvest goddess, Shuichi's inner thoughts turned to stone. A permanent reminder for how Shuichi felt for when he got here. Or, at least he thought it was permanent. Maybe there was a way to get his thoughts beautiful again. He had to save himself from this nightmare!

Just then another being appeared. A human this time. A female human. She looked familiar. She claimed her name was Jamie. But...she reminded Shuichi of someone else. Someone he knew very well. Jamie's first words in the dream were, "What has she turned into?"

Shuichi's inner thoughts: Oh, nice. Well, she doesn't care. Maybe she is like Noriko. Noriko was always jealous because I hung out with Ryuichi. Noriko knew I was gay so, she thought that one day I was going to end up with Ryuichi regardless of whether or not I was married to Yuki.

Then Jamie spoke again. She said, "I...I...I will get you back to normal!!!"

Jamie took off after that and out of the dream. Shuichi's inner thoughts, as he was waking up due to morning, said, "Nope, that can't be Noriko. She wouldn't want to help me. Maybe...aha! It has to be Ichigo. Ichigo was jealous that I was with Yuki because she wanted Yuki too, but she wasn't cruel enough not to help out. Its got to be her."

Then, Shuichi heard a knock on the door. Shuichi stretched and yawned and thought, "Now what does mayor Theodore want?"

When Shuichi answered the door, however, it wasn't mayor Theodore, but it was Arthur, Billy, and Carlos! The sprites from the nightmare! "Am I still sleeping," Shuichi thought as he rubbed his eyes.

When Shuichi blinked and tried to shake his head to see if he was still dreaming, he opened his eyes and the Harvest Sprites were still there. "Whoa? You three are real!" He exclaimed.

Arthur said, "What? You mean you can see us?"

Shuichi nodded.

Billy had said, "it has been a while since someone could see us."

Carlos then added, "Would you do us a humungo favor?"

Shuichi scratched his head and said, "Sure, why not?"

The three harvest sprites then showed Shuichi the Harvest Spring and there she was, the woman that had been changed to stone. His thoughts were real in this village! Someone is casting a spell on Shuichi's mind and creating a live feature out of it! He growled, but stopped when he heard that the Harvest Sprites were overwhelmingly sad.

He asked, "Is that the harvest goddess?"

Arthur nodded and said, "That is the Harvest Goddess, but we have no idea what has happened to her exactly."

Billy chimed in, "Oh, but we have a plan to change the Harvest Goddess to her former self."

Carlos puts, "And this is where we need you, Shuichi."

Shuichi asked, "What do I have to do exactly?"

Billy says, "All you gotta do is collect 100 music notes. But, after every 5 notes, please, come back here so that we can trade them in for a musical instrument."

Just then, Jamie comes to the Goddess Spring and causes some trouble by saying some nasty words like, "Do not trust anyone else but me. And on top of that, I am doing this solo."

It did not make sense, but in his mind, Shuichi thought of Jamie as a "b***h".

Shuichi asks, "But then, how are musical instruments going to help her?

Answering his own question, he said, "Wait, the dream. The Goddess said that people don't care about anything anymore. She was like my inner thoughts being voiced aloud last night, it was really weird. So...how do I earn these notes?"

Arthur said, "Just do different things relating to farm life and this village and you'll just find them at random."

Shuichi said, "Well, it sounds simple enough."

Arthur said, "Just keep at it, okay?"

Then Carlos gives something to Shuichi. He said, "This will help you Shuichi, here, take it."

What Shuichi had received was a pedometer. Not knowing exactly how a stepping counter is going to help, he just smiled and said, "I will do my best."

Arthur said, "Just keep at it."

With a wave, Shuichi turned to leave, when, suddenly he found this colorful bubble! It was a music note! On this note it said, "First step note. Everything is begun with the first step. A note for beginning your farm life."

The Sprites said, "It looks like you got a note. Just 99 more to go now. Good Luck Shuichi!"

With that, Shuichi left the Spring of his inner thoughts and went back home.
