Everything seemed to be a blurry mist. Watery and with no shape. Trent's eyes were not fully opened they were only part as he laid there in the den. Yawning first before opening his eyes to the world. Ah the warm comfort of the trunk of the sacred tree. Mother to the pack it self. But something was missing. Trent looked around but new something was out of place. Hadn't a black and white up been with him last night or was it all a dream.

Looking around again he found the cadaver that had been chewed on by the pup the night before. It hadnt been a dream. It was real. But where was the pup now? His sent still lingered in the misty innards of the tree's roots. His back arched like a cat as he stood on all fours. The sunlights rays now replaced the gentle moons rays that once danced upon the misty innards of the tree. Now only a ghost of that memory remained.

"Misto?" Trent said to him self in a small whisper, "What an odd name," His voice even more calm and soothing since it was morning. He had missed the sunrise this morn but that was alright. He had many other sunrises to see in his life span.

It was true, the malnourished pup that the alpha and the goddess alike had accepted was missing from the den where he had bedded down the fore-night. The sun's morning rays streaked through the gentle canopy of green above the pup's head and onto his pelt as he lay upon a nook between the branches. Golden eyes were misted over, an with his head lain atop crossed paws, the whelp gave an air of content. The sun was warm and a soft breeze cooled him as he lay. Mistoffelees had seen the sunrise, as he had the sunset, for to him sleep was merely an unnecessary function made to keep those unworthy of the night's gift from receiving it. True, he did sleep a small bit, but that didn't constitute for a whole night's.

A bird nesting in the branches above his head was sent atwitter as it's mate flew home, building supplies of twigs and pine-needles in it's beak. The male rolled onto his back to watch them, finding a glimpse of the clear blue sky through the leaves.

Trent was sure the pup hadn't gone far. He seemed to be more eager and determined then any pup he had ever meet. Ah well, nothing really could be done about that. It was a good quality for the young pup to have any how.

A whisper of the pups scent remained in the misty roots. Leading almost a trail of bread crumbs for Trent to follow. Slowly but surely Trent padded. Taking in whiffs of the air around him every so often. The trail seemed to be miss leading. It ended at one point at the tree's roots and nothing else lingered. That was until he looked up discovering the black and white pup above.

"Cleaver," Trent mused to him self with a smile curling under his calm exterior.

The pup barely cared that another lingered below him, paws outstretched and making circles in the wind carelessly as young Mistoffelees watched the sky. Everything was perfect up there, no dead, no hate, and there was magic as day turned to night. This was the closest he'd ever been to the stars, and though it was his first time ever climbing anything, the wolf was a natural at it, skillful as a cat.

But as the silence was broken by Trent's voice, so did the pup's peacefulness. Ears flicked back and he rolled over, giving a harsh glance to whatever intruder decided to disturb him, but the glare faded as he saw the strange older wolf down below. Standing, the pup maneuvered down from the nook and into one of the den's that was nearest. In a manner of minutes, the pup appeared from a small entrance in the tree between two gnarled roots, and nodded towards the alpha. "Good morning." he said softly, his expression calm and slightly bored looking.

Trent was not bothered that the pup had glared at him. After all he had intruded upon the pups peace. Twas to be expected of the pup to glare at first. Besides, Trent was more amazed at how skilled the young pup was at climbing. The pup was rather intresting.

"And good morning to you young master," Trent said politely bowing some to humor the young pup. He was having fun.

Mistoffelees didn't take as easily to the humor as some did, giving no remark to the jest. Sitting down he gave one last glance upwards to his peaceful retreat nestled amongst the branches, before looking towards Trent. "You did say the lessons would start this morning, right? You're going to teach me magic?" The small pup said softly, trying to hide his anxiousness. Real magic... He remembered every word of last night's conversation, and he could still barely believe his luck of finding a place to stay, even if it was momentarily. He'd only stay until he gained a bit of weight, then he'd leave, or at least that's what he'd told himself.

The pup was very eager to learn. This pleased Trent very much causing a smirk to show up on his maw.

"Well, okay. We should get started then." Trent said with a smile. "But first I need you go on a quest before I show you anything. You see for the kind of magic I know I need a few things." Trent's magic was mostly chemistry. He used his knowledge of what the past pyro wolves had shown him.

"Alright, I need you to find me a small chunk silver." Trent was going to show the young one how to make fire works. Though he really wasnt lacking any silver, he wanted the pup to learn how to scavenge things.

((My brain is dead xDD But yeah i looked up how to make fire works for this rp.......... and my brain died xDDD))

((Lol, it's a good thing because I dunno how to make fire-works....))

Silver? Only once had he heard mention of the precious metal, and that was long back (which, because he's a pup really wasn't that long ago but hey -shrug-). A wolf had given his mate a chunk of the shining metal as an offering of love, and the pup had asked what the strange rock was. He only had a small recollection of the events after that...

"What do I need the silver for?" Mistoffelees inquired curiously, looking up at the alpha.

The alpha smiled. A lot of wolves weren't very studied on their metals. As a wolf there really was no need for such knowledge.

"I'll show you once you get it. Remember you need patience young one." He knew the pup was dying to know but he rather wait and show him. Trent was better at showing things then telling. "Try at the top of the tree." Truth was Trent kept a small chunk of silver at the top of the tree for safe keeping. He knew that the pup would find it in no time. But he wanted to teach the pup a small lesson if he was able too.

At the clue, the pup turned his head sky-wards towards tbe green, swaying canopy of the sacred tree. Scanning amongst the foliage, for a second the male thought he had spotted a small glimmer. "As you wish.." he murmured, his golden eyes never leaving the spot where he'd seen the sparkle.

Mistoffelees went from Trent with a determined air, each time he neared one of the dens woven into the tree-trunk, sticking his head in and checking, before moving on to the next. It was done in a strange, yet orthodox manner, as though he was looking for something in particular. Which, in reality, he was. Over the night exploring the tree Mistoffelees had learned the queerest thing, inside of the dens, and random times, the tree seemed to change, and made small holes within it's dens. These holes served as passages to other dens, thus in turn enabling him to move to higher parts of the tree. It was odd because they were just large enough for the pup to fit through, and it seemed as though he could appear and disappear, like magic. Finally finding what he was looking for, the pup slipped in, seeming to vanish inside the shallow den, only to reappear at a greater height.

Trent waited patiently for the pup at the base of the tree. He had gathered all the other ingredients that were needed to produce magic so to speak. It would take them a while to make the explosives but it would be well worth it. Trent was excited, he had not seen fire works in over a year now.

The pup seemed to have discovered the way of the tree. He was a fast learner for sure. Trent continued to wait for him every breath was baited for the young pup to re emerge with the silver.

Crawling through the small tunnels, he was sure there was magic in the tree. He could almost feel it's heart-beat as he climbed through the pathways, sometimes coming across a hint of the tree's life, a small cavity coming from the wall filled with clovers, or a bug or two crawling on the floor. But the strangest thing of all was the noises, as the tree seemed to move and flex gently, groaning as it opened another hole within itself or closed another. Always changing.

As he went farther, the pup felt a pang of claustrophobia, and a hint of paranoia that the tree may close him in here. Shivering, the male took in a sharp breath and crawled onwards, taking winding paths before he finally saw hope, a light at the end of the tunnel. A black from appeared from one of the holes in the wood, higher up the tree than Mistoffelees had expected to go. With each step he felt the wall of leaves surround him, brushing against his matted and ragged pelt. Finally through the foliage he saw the glimpse once more.

The branches were smaller here, though still keeping his weight they swayed in the wind, creaking like an old house. Paws tried each further step for stability, before he reached out with his maw, eyes closed in fear of seeing how far up he was, and grasped at the chunk of metal that lay wedged into the tree. It wouldn't budge. Growling momentarily, the pup grasped it once more, feeling the cool surface against his tongue, and pulled back. It came loose, and the force of it made the pup fall backwards, swaying dangerously over the edge. Mistoffelees made took no extra time and scurried down the tree and back into the tunnels, the downward slope making it easier for him to move. Finally he appeared, squeezing through a small hole near Trent, the silver held delicately in his maw.

Misto looked like he had a rough time. His eyes seemed to tell the story, deep and yellow like the full moon on a good night. Trent also knew that he had placed the silver in tightly in the fickle branches of the tree. He had a hard time getting it out, he wandered if the pup did too. The glint of silver from among the pups maw shimmered brightly in the sunlight sending off rays of brilliance that overshadowed the rays of the sun.

"Well done my boy," Trent smiled revealing a small bowl that had been made a long time ago from wood of the sacred tree. The bowl it self though old and no longer part of the sacred tree pulsed with life. "This is the magic bowl," Trent began, "We are going to mix a few things in here and make something wonderful." Trent took the silver from the pup and started to rub it across a rough rock, powder of aluminum could be seen coming off. The powder feel into the magic bowl. Glittering fearlessly unknowing of its fate. He added a few other chemicals to the mixture, Carbon, Calcium, Iron, Sulfer, and Antimony. After the mixture was how he wanted it he placed it in six hallowed out branch that had some manner of string tied tightly to it.

The sun was now going down. The mixture and the obtaining of the silver had taken a good while to get done. But it would be worth it. Trent readied his flint in his may by one of the odd looking containers with a string attached to it. Watching as the sun dipped completely down then rubbing the flint together causing a spark to land on all the strings. The embers made their way up to the strings violently burning until it got to the containers. A violent eruption of fire burst forth from the containers madly burning causing the containers to shoot up int to the sky. There was a pause and then a loud sound, a burst. The sky light up adding more star's to the the sky and then fizzled dying off like it was never there. Only smoke remain. The smoke seeped into the clouds and it was like it was never there at all.

Trent was pleased his mixture had worked out so well. He smiled down at the pup hoping that it had pleased him.

As soon as he was relieved from his duty of holding the silver, the young wolf lay down, watching intently as the alpha began to go whatever it was he was doing. He couldn't help but c**k an eyebrow at the strange assortment of other items around the bowl, curious at to what purpose they had. Ah, so it's a magic bowl.. Mistoffelees mused, nodding his head in response, golden eyes never leaving the bowl or it's contents.

The whelp shuffled back a bit as the string was set aflame, only to move closer once the fire erupted, almost touching it. It was only there a second, Mistoffelees jumping back in both surprise and slight fear as it exploded so close, shooting upwards towards the heavens. He'd made stars! The young male could hardly believe what he was seeing, the bright shafts of color and light booming amongst the heavens, only to die down a bit later.

Mouth agape, he looked towards Trent, not realizing how quickly his heart was beating. "What was that?!" He inquired, exasperated and surprised.

Trent remembered his first time with fireworks, he was so amazed but confused just like Misto was now.

"Ah," Trent said with a slight smile, "That's the magic of a pyro wolf young master," Trent didnt know why he kept calling Misto young master. He was having fun with it though.

He knelt down beside the magic bowl and nuzzled it over to the pup. "Take this," He smiled, "Its a gift for you." The magic bowl had been passed down to pyro wolves in the pack for generations. It was a high honor to recieve one since there were only two bowls that exsisted with in the pack. Even more so if the Alpha him or her self presented it to you their self.
