Dolphintaurs are considerably more playful than their mermaid (half fish) counterparts and will often assist sailing land taurs with their fishing or on their sailing ventures. They are curious, talkative, and love to live. They are peaceful and always in the mood for exploration. They stay closer to the surface of the water more often than Syrin and can spend a little more time on land, though not by much. Males and females are treated as equals and they enjoy traveling in large family groups, sometimes called pods like their full dolphin distant relatives.
They have little interest in material gain and seek only knowledge to help with their explorations of the sea. They are known to travel tremendous distances just for the sake of exploration and have traveled even farther out than their land dwelling cousins. What have they discovered? You'd have to ask them!
