Task One~!Child's Name: Elegy [Elly] Trapt. Full Description of Child: Gender: Female Hair: White blonde, thin and unkempt. Usually worn in loose pigtails that rest limply on her shoulders. A variety of cute clips are used to keep her bangs out of her eyes. Eyes: Oval, bright blue. The whites are more an icy blue-grey. Skin: Sunkissed, moderately freckled on her cheeks, nose, arms, and shoulders. Body Type: Small and wirey. Unusual Characteristics: She has a long, thin tail a shade darker than her hair. At the end of it is a fluffy poof of fur that she often tries, unsuccessfully, to braid, and before which she ties bows or ribbons to make it extra pretty.
Her ears are round, making her hearing more blunt and concentrated on sounds close-by. She cannot hear sounds outside of a radius of several feet, putting her into dangerous situations more often than not, and heightening her potential as a target.
Medical Condition: Elly will be afflicted by the genetic blood illness known as hemophilia. Genetic deficiencies cause lowered plasma clotting factor activity so as to compromise blood-clotting; when a blood vessel is injured, a scab will not form and the vessel can continue to bleed excessively for a very long period of time. [Usually it almost always affects males, but in rarer cases it has been known to be present in females as well.]
Because of this reason, high risk areas like her knees and elbows are almost always covered by large bandages, to help prevent potentially fatal accidents. Her guardian and brother will act very protective of her because of the high risks of this illness, making her appear and feel more sheltered than other children, as either one usually accompanies her even into older stages of her life.
Clothing: In her younger years, she'll adore sundresses and straw hats, ridiculously large, mismatched bracelets and pretty shoes. The colour palette of her wardrobe would be something like this: blues of every shade; bright red-pinks; muted greens, oranges, and purples; and bright yellows.
As she matures, she'll maintain a girlish style but add into the mix prettier dresses, skin-tight knee length pants under more casual dresses, and more tame accessories. She will appear modest in the way she dresses while still able to be classified as conservatively beautiful.
Child's Personality: Honest to a fault. [Hey, t'was the reason she was booked in the past, ehehe..] Elly is sweet, caring, but naive and slightly breezy. She doesn't care much for planning or for the future, living singularly in the present. She's the personification of optimism; upsetting her or shattering her bubble of sugar and unicorns is a crime unto itself. As she matures, her bright and cheerful personality will become worn around the edges; that is, she won't be as naive and foolishly optimistic as in previous stages, but she will maintain a great deal of cheer and hope nonetheless. Her sheltered early life will prove to be a curse and a blessing in this way. Anything else: Elly will be affiliated with growth, youth, and vitality. Because of this, she'll have a soft spot for all things with a pulse! She'd be one to have strays follow her home, or to tend to an almost dead garden and manage to effortlessly make it flourish. Her innate youthfulness is almost infectious, at least as long as one is near her. Beyond skills that come naturally to her, she won't display anything truly magical.

Three words that describe this character honest, witty, untrusting.
The Basics
Character's full name Ceri-anne Moen.
Reason for or meaning of name Her parents smushed together the names of their grandmothers; women are revered and honoured in the traditional family sense [but outside marriage they're highly mistreated] and the joining of two names was used to honour that tradition.
Nickname Ceri. Street name: Annie.
Approximate human-equivalent age at sentencing Fifteen.
Approximate height at sentencing 5' 6".
Hair color/texture/style (or hair equivalent) Dull brown, cut roughly mid-back, but thin and easy to hide in a hat or down a shirt to disguise her gender.
Skin color Olive. Her veins and nerves are close to the surface, as is normal for her race, causing it to change to the colour of bruises at random.
Eye color Mismatched, one dark, one pale. They are slightly crooked, as well, giving the sense of her having two different eyes.
General build Wiry, thin, and gangly, as are those awkward teenage times where one has yet to grow into their body.
Distinguishing marks (scars, tattoos, general markings) Nothing out of the ordinary for her race. Her skin, as mentioned, has the appearance of a barely visible web of nerves and sometimes veins. It makes her more sensitive to noises, particularly vibrations, in the air.
Other distinguishing features None. Her plainness is what kept her alive on the street for as long as it did.
The Past
Crime Spreading truths in public establishments.
Name of Home Planet Aria.
Description of home planet It is actually an island, though the inhabitants know nothing of the worlds beyond theirs. It is ruled by an appointed king with seer abilities, and has remained fairly peaceful [albeit by inhumane means] over its last four hundred years during his rule. Most citizens either reside in the country or in the four main cities; the choice of lifestyle creates a rift between the people and their needs, though usually the peace is urged through the avoidance of one another. Aria is plentiful in its pastures and forestry. At the heart of the island is a giant natural geyser that works on a lunar schedule in accordance to the sea, and brings forth the sweetest, purest water for the people of Aria to share.
Just after Ceri's departure from Aria, the world will be destroyed, engulfed by a demon that has been resting beneath Aria's crust since the birth of the planet. Little warning will be given, providing its inhabitants little time to prepare and flee across the water into the unknown worlds they never thought twice about in times of peace.
Favorite/Least Favorite Things
Color Black or brown for clothing, but she loves the colour of the sky.
Least favorite color Purple or red. She finds them rather revolting, especially as they are the colours of the King's crest.
Music Soft melodies, sweet songs, and the music from stringed instruments.
Least favorite music Trumpets and drums, as they are employed by soldiers.
Food Bakery fresh bread, maple syrup, and most especially drinks with creme.
Least favorite food Seafood and seasoned meats.
Literature Whatever she can get her hands on that she believes to have at least an ounce of truth to it. Such literature is hard to find when powerful people don't want it to be found.
Least favorite literature She avoids newspapers, as they are usually filled with propaganda and other such lies.
Mode of transportation By foot. She doesn't have the money to ride in carriages, and she has had bad experiences with horses.
Habits
Hobbies Widdling wood scraps with a blade, working on extending how long she can hold her breath underwater, keeping a low profile, earning money through unconventional means [by being an employed whore; as much as she despises it, especially as she considers it lying to herself, it keeps her alive], studying rare or banned literature with a wiser elderly man whom she trusts with her life.
How does character spend a rainy day? (Or rain equivalent) Either cooped up with the elderly man whom she calls Meridian, or working to earn a little extra money.
Family
Mother Ethiriel Moen.
Relationship with her Very close, as Ceri was her only daughter, and daughters are highly respected in Aria due to underpopulation of female children. Ceri fears she disappointed her mother too greatly in running away to pursue infatuation, therefore she hasn't and will never return to see her again.
Father Rochester Moen.
Relationship with him Weren't very close, but he did not lay a hand on her, which is more than other fathers in their village could say about their children. Elly obeyed him fearfully; the only time she ever disobeyed was in the act of running away, after which she never saw any of her family again.
Siblings Five older brothers: Jack [23], Khel [22], Jordan [19], Issak [17], and Dil [17].
Birth order Youngest child, only daughter.
Relationship with each As with all good older brothers, they taught her how to defend herself [useful especially once she runs away], but also protected her in many different ways. Ceri retained a close relationship with Khel, who was the only one who knew the reasoning behind her running away and who kept her secret despite his better judgement.
Children of siblings Jack married and his wife was with son before the destruction of Aria. Jordan was betrothed, his marriage held off with the chaos of the Last Days of Aria.
Children N/A.
Extended family None.
Close? N/A.
Attitude
Greatest fear Returning to her family, and in doing so being shunned for her actions.
What is the worst thing that could happen to him/her? Getting pregnant through her line of work, therefore losing her job and her income.
What single event would most throw character's life in complete turmoil? Why? Being shunned officially by her family. Although she already feels as if she's done that for herself, to make it official would be absolute agony.
Most at ease when With Meridian, reading truthful literature.
Most ill at ease when Lying to herself and customer through her work, and when around government officials.
Priorities
How s/he feels about self She doesn't have much self respect any longer, having given it away along with her virginity, a lie she won't forgive herself for. Although she takes pride in her intelligence, wit, and cunning, she isn't entirely too proud or boastful.
If granted one wish, what would it be? That she could rid the world of the lies that their government has cloaked its citizens in.
Personality
Greatest source of strength in character's personality (whether s/he sees it as such or not) Her intelligence and quick wit. She's differentiated between other citizens due to the fact that she's not so easily deceived.
Greatest source of weakness in character's personality (whether s/he sees it as such or not) Her confidence, and her trust issues.
Biggest vulnerability Love. She ran off to chase it, only to be heartbroken to realise it was not true love as much as infatuation. She's a sucker for romance.
Traits
Optimist or pessimist (Why?) Optimist. Having seen the worst of the worst, she can now step back and see things for the better. "It can only get better from here on out."
Introvert or extrovert (Why?) Introvert. She hasn't felt at home with anyone since leaving home, and has walked blind into a shocking new aspect of life that she was otherwise oblivious to. [That is, she ran away from her family farm establishment and to the second major city, Durham.] She cannot trust people, nor does she feel the need to open up to anyone. The city is built on lies, however, and she likes to shake things up in bars and other semi-public places by spitting out truths to strangers, in order to play with the shock factor. She does this on rare occasions, as it does draw unnecessary and unwanted attention and eventually leads to the warrent for her arrest.
Talents She's quite a fast runner. She has a photographic memory which enables her to absorb texts and other literature fairly quickly.
Mannerisms Brought up well. Has table manners, a sense of cleanliness and personal hygiene, and respect for other forms of life. She can be rude and snarky, but mostly when provoked or if there is reasoning behind it.
Problems/Crisis
How character reacts in a crisis She'll shut down and basically crash. She's not one to get hysterical; instead, she'll basically go cold and unresponsive.
How character reacts to change She has a "fate will guide your actions" attitude. She adapts well, but will speak her mind if there's something she doesn't like about it.
General
Favorite clothing Clothing that is loose, but doesn't catch on the wind, that is durable and longlasting without being expensive. She cannot afford shoes and therefore her feets are calloused and almost permanently blackened and caked with dirt. She wears anything that will allow her to blend in, and usually clothes that lend to bending her gender when the need arises.
Jewelry and other accessories Her widdling knife, which she keeps bound to her ankle by a leather strap. [Format stolen from the event in which I acquired Elly!]
