So right now I'm in Japan doing the Assistant Language Teacher thing teaching English at high schools and there's this one really small school (theres only 87 students in the whole school) I go to once a month and today was my last class with them before summer vaction starts so I wanted to do something intresting...

So I showed them the History of Final Fantasy video that comes with FF12 Collector Edition ^^

A bunch of the 1st year boys were big fans of FF and where all into it and really paid attention. Everyone was into the Chocobo and started paying more attetion once it got up to FF7 since thats the game most people started with...

then I thought it would be neat for the students to hear accents people have have from different English speaking counties... so I loaded the file I saved right before you can fly off to Bahamut and showed the first part of the final animation...they were all very impressed at all my lvl 99 charaters X3. Showing it in class made me relize how long the final animation is...
It's exactly 10mins from the time you fly off to the point where the "Sky Fortress Bahamut" title shows up... so 10 whole mins before you get to do anything...then you run for about 30 seconds to the next section and there's about five more minutes of animation... I wanted to get up to the point you fight Gabranth because he has a cool accent too, but there wasn't enough time...

meh, not that they understood much anyways but they seemed into it.

Yay making English fun blaugh

You Bi*@#!!! You are so lucky to be in japan.....I envy you on so many levels.(up to 99)

That aside. That is really cool smile
I wish any of my teachers were into Final Fantasy. (closest I have had is a HALO addict) It sounds like you left them with a great memory.

.....I wish I was in Japan....

I did something like this, but I was teaching music. The seemed equally into it.

What I really enjoyed was going through the movies before hand and seperating and dubbing out the voice track so only the music could be heard. I was teaching a lesson on how the feeling of music is what it's really about. I was showing it in a digital entertainment and design class at my college(it was kind of an assignment of mine, but at the same time I had control of the class for an entire half hour). I had the subtitles on so they could see what was said and how the musci is cued with the plot, I think everyone really learned a lot from it (I got an A+!) ... it's times like that that make me really wanna be a teacher.
