We've been needing some activity in this guild lately, and I've come around to finally posting a topic. Now for those of you in the Miyavi guild, this topic may sound familiar, because I stole it from there. surprised Yes, I am just a poor soul who cannot think up original topics for the life of me at the moment. sweatdrop But who cares about that, onto the questions! New members are encouraged to go back and answer previous questions, so we can get to know you better!
Question 1 How did you first get introduced to hide, and what was your first impression of him?
Question 2 Which do you prefer: hide in X Japan, or during his solo career (including Spread Beaver and Zilch)?
Question 3 What are some of your favorite outfits that hide has worn? Pictures would be loverly for this question. surprised
Question 4 Which music video of hide's is your favorite?
Question 5 Did you do/are you going to do anything special for hide-sama's birthday?
Question 6 What will you/have you been doing during the holiday season? Going any place special, making gifts for friends, just staying home...?
Question 7 Has hide inspired you to do anything, like playing guitar, singing, being more fun-loving and adorable...?
Question 8 Which of hide's hairstyles do you like best?
Question 9 What methods will you use to harm me for not updating with any questions for a month? x.x; (This question CAN be hide-sama related... like... pelting me with hide plushies, or something. o_O;; )
Question 10 Do you own any hide merchandise? CDs, DVDs, plushies, pictures, clothing, etc.? If so, what do you have and which is your favorite?
Question 11 What do you think of the lyrics that hide wrote, for his own solo career or for X Japan?
Question 12 Which of hide's guitars is your favorite?
Question 13 If you had to pick only one thing, what would you say is hide's most appealing quality, in his musical talent, personality, or anything else?
Question submissions (I'll get them quicker by IM or e-mail, but PMs are fine too wink ) are always welcomed and are loved immensely, because I'm going to run out of ideas sometime. surprised

spacemonkeypunk Question 1How did you first get introduced to hide, and what was your first impression of him? I remember surfing around various sites, trying to satisfy my craving for more jrock. It was right about the time when I first got into jrock, and I was a sad person with only a few songs. I remember those days... cry Anyway, I stumbled onto this site which had mp3s of each of the author's favorite songs from their favorite jrockers... She just happened to have Dice up for download, I did what the link told me to and downloaded it, and immediately fell in love. heart What a happy story of true love... xd And I think I had heard him on an internet radio station a little while before that when I didn't know anything about him, and I loved him too. xd They played D.O.D (Drink or Die) and I <3ed it very much. But I don't remember which lovely story came first, so I'll just post both. sweatdrop

My best friend introduced me to Malice Mizer first, and then she told me about Kami, and hide also came up. I remember I was really depressed for a few days because of him, but I didn't get around to listening to his songs until a bit later.

spacemonkeypunk Question 1How did you first get introduced to hide, and what was your first impression of him? It was way back when I first got into Jrock, and the main things I cared about were L'Arc~en~Ciel and X Japan. I was a dumb uneducated person and I really knew nothing at the time. o.o; So I was reading some information on X Japan, and of course I soon figured out that hide was dead. Though I knew pretty much nothing about him, it made me cry. A lot. >.< Then I started downloading his songs, and found that there is no song of his that I don't like, and I pretty much fell in love with his music upon hearing the first song, "Dice." And...that's it. o_O

spacemonkeypunk Question 1How did you first get introduced to hide, and what was your first impression of him? I was looking for Gackt videos xd and I came across a site with the Pink Spider PV. The screencap they had looked cool, so I downloaded it. I was pretty hooked. It wasn't until much much later that I found out that hide was not living. I think I was looking for lyrics or something, and the site said how much they missed him, and I'm just like ... ?

spacemonkeypunk Question 2Which do you prefer: hide in X Japan, or during his solo career (including Spread Beaver and Zilch)? I'd have to say solo hide with Spread Beaver, not Zilch so much though. Zilch has their own humorous qualities, but music-wise they're not really my thing. And while I like X Japan, most of the songs I like are the piano songs like Crucify My Love, which don't have hide in them so much... I also like his solo outfits better... X Japan is just a bit too weird for me. *shrug*

spacemonkeypunk I guess it's on to the next question, now... Question 2Which do you prefer: hide in X Japan, or during his solo career (including Spread Beaver and Zilch)? I agree with most of what robynie said. His outfits were neater when he was solo, and we get to hear more of his pretty voice. 3nodding And, I dunno, I'm just not really a huge fan of his songs when he was with X Japan. When he was solo, he just seemed to put more of himself into the songs. o.o

spacemonkeypunk Question 2Which do you prefer: hide in X Japan, or during his solo career (including Spread Beaver and Zilch)? I mostly agree with you both that I liked him solo better, and Zilch... not so much. I <3 some of their songs (Space Monkey Punks from Japan whee ), but they're just not something that would become my favorite band, even though hide is in it. But I do really like some of X Japan's songs, and what seems to contradict to your guys's likings, I prefer X's faster and more upbeat songs to their ballads and piano pieces. sweatdrop

Sadistic Desire is ok. Uh... yeah I can't think of anymore. stressed
