Yes, the long awaited FoJ awards will be coming soon! This will house several opportunities, including free art( xd ) and the chance to get to know your fellow FoJers better, seeing as the titles will involve much scouting for information. so, let''s look a tad farther down, shall we? ninja
Important info!
1.The voting will start on August 10th, and will end September 10th. (I''m fairly sure a month will be enough...)
2.Voting! Well, tallying votes would badly suck if everyone had like 150 posts. So this is how it''s gonna work.
-you should probably take the list and copy it somewhere.
-if your voting will take awhile, you should probably save it on some sort of writing program, like word or notepad.
-When you are done, simply post your votes here. All in one post, please. I realize it''ll make a page quite long, but it''s probably going to be the best way.
3.For the artists!
Okay, well, I think I''ll keep a list of the winners, and when the awards end, I wanna try and assign people to the artists with a randomizer. that way it''ll be fair. I know some artists probably aren''t the best, but hey, you''re getting free art! If you complain about it, you get bonked with the whacky wand! >3
4.Please, PLEASE , TRY your hardest not to vote for yourself! If you''re the only person who could possibly qualify, well, then go ahead, but I''m sure that titles like best pirate or cookie could go for someone else. stare [Auora edit: I''m seeing way too many people voting for themselves just to get votes. I propose that we add onto this rule with "You may only vote for yourself twice" because otherwise it shall get out of hand. gonk ]
5.You can try swaying people to your side for voting as much as you please. But threats are bad. Threats=whacky wand. >(
6.Things like best singer, and other things that require files, you can pm to me and I''ll post em here. Heck, if you really want to, you could prolly send photos as well.
And that''s about it for the rules.

The News
The news came today
I''m here to ask why it had to be this way
Why her, why did she have to die
In a puddle on the ground
And O how I miss her
How I used to hold her
In my arms under the sky
Laughing at the pond
Ever so green and filthy
But to us it was clear and blue
The Golden sun that surrounded us and then I realized
For our love surpassed all
Why did you have to take her
O how i miss you
My love, my joy, my other half
The way your deep blue eyes reflected in mine
I wish I could take you back
Or see you once more
To see your lovvely face
Your small cute nosse on your shining face
The golden smile that you were always beaming
The little blonde hairs on your eyebrows
To see that brilliat blonde hair encircle your face
To feel the joy that you brought to me
I would do anything just to have a moment
A second to bathe in your beauty
To sink into those deep blue pools of your gaze
To embrace you, and then draw you close
To just enjoy a few moments of silence
And that woud ease me forever
A moment is all I ask for
But yet you are gone and I can only hope
That I will see you again soon
But yet I cannot do that
For you have gone and I will not see you anymore
For you are gone from this world
So as I draw the stiletto and thrust it into me
I leave this world that has turned black
Without your warmth to give it life
As I spent a few weeks without you it was torture
Everywhere I went was just another memory
Tantalizing me with every seen
Every vision and recollection that came flooding back
And how I remember the quiet times when we were silent
And just sat cuddling under the moon or on the bench
Wherever I go it is to agonizing and I find out that I cannot live without your sun
The pain from everyone else''s looks will end now
No more will I be pitied upon
And now here I come to join with you in spirit once more...
A piccy of twisty! XD

Chapter 1 of 2 to be posted.
Laysek Street was busy again today. Jen could never remember a day when the two lanes of her street didn''t have traffic coming in or going out of the city. Moving trucks, high speed sports cars, minivans, mopeds, motorcycles, all with people heading to work, making a delivery, stopping in the area. Laysek was always full of vehicles.
Jen didn''t have a car; no need when she could walk and avoid traffic. She started her trip to the market as she did every Wednesday, weaving in and out of the other pedestrians on the sidewalk as she always did, greeting a few people she has seen most of her life, and looking at the scenery of the woods across the street.
The funny thing about her city was where it was built. Rather than out in an open area where the city could grow, it was built right next to Halpher’s Forest, or as some called it, the Forest of Mystery, or, Halpher''s Enigma. Laysek Street ran parallel to this enigma, which made a great view for Jen to look out at every morning. Noting better to wake you up. Not even Espresso can do it as well as that view, Jen always believed.
The forest got it''s nicknames from strange events and spectacles that have been seen by the inhabitants of the city. Some have seen dark creatures, dark because they never had color, and creatures because they moved too fast to be called anything better. Others, at night, have heard inhuman sounds come from the forest, unlike any animal God has put on the Earth. Still others have claimed, but never proven, that a man flew over the forest, picking up speed as if he
were falling sideways.
Jen has seen and heard the animals that have been rumored, but no one bothered to search Halpher''s Forest for the creatures and the man. Never has one of the creatures left the forest, and never has one of the noises harmed a human being, at least outside of the woods.
People have tried unsuccessfully to enter and explore the Forest of Mystery. Upon
entering, the animal''s otherworldly cries have driven them into temporary insanity. A few have come in contact with the creatures, but not peacefully; the dark creatures attacked with blinding speed and fury, and the few who have seen them are glad to be alive.
Jen was thinking about these creatures and looked into the woods. Hard to believe such strong and beautiful trees could contain such heartless cruelty and unsolved mysteries. So odd, she thought, as something else odd caught her eye; a man wearing an entirely blue suit on the other side of the street, walking away...
She was struck by him. Who was he? Why was he here? Where did he get those clothes? All she knew about him was she had to meet him.
At the next corner, marketplace forgotten, she crossed the street and followed the man. She watched as other people looked at him in strange ways as they passed him, but he went unflinchingly, walking with a purpose to some unknown destination. She caught up soon enough, and, with slight hesitation said, "Hello."
The man responded without stopping, "Hello." At this point Jen noticed a black mask over his eyes, with two gleaming white ovals where his eyes were underneath. "Weird," she
thought, "Why would someone wear that? I''ll ask him." He seemed uninterested in talking at the moment, however, and kept walking.
At this point, Jen was walking beside the man. Determined to make more conversation, at least find out something else about him, she said, "Nice weather today, huh?"
"Yes, not too cloudy," He said. Onwards he walked.
"Good day for a nice walk."
"Yes, I agree."
"What''s your name?"
It took a while for him to answer. There was something, Jen thought, that he was keeping secret, something he had to do, and he didn''t want her to know. She would find out anyways. As she was about to ask again, he said, "My name is Corian." Still, with a mechanical pace, he went on his way.
She still followed, wondering if he would ask something of her. If he was, she didn''t give him time to. "My name is Jen," she said.
"Nice name," Corian replied.
Jen blushed and said somewhat shyly, "Thanks," but realized her new acquaintance was no longer beside her. "Where did he..." she started to wonder, when she saw a hint of blue in the forest identical to Corian''s suit.
"First the mask, now this? This guy is mad!" Jen exclaimed to herself. "He''ll be coming out any second now."
But he didn''t. About ten seconds past and no sign of blue anywhere but the sky. Jen was worried. "Where did Corian go? I''m going to find him." She went to the edge of the woods.
"I must be crazy to do this," she thought as she stepped into Halpher''s Forest.

Role-play sample
She held her hands just a few inches above the unconsious body of Dani. Her mismatched eyes closed after she balanced herself in her crouched position, one foot firmly flat on the ground and the other making the leather of her boot bend nearly in half. A light began to radiate in the middle of Evelyn''s chest, near her heart, and slowly made a course towards her head, down her torso, down her shoulders, upper arms, and to her fingertips. The light began to pulsate and pool onto Dani, causing her to have a white glow about her as well.
Evelyn was an unearthly white as she opened her mouth and began to chant these elven words from long ago, her voice taking on an angelic tone and not at all sounding like herself, "Thys tia myr, sai os. Tae si eilol vaerysi eir sar shos shar oli shyli." ((Translation: "From my soul, to yours. May the ancients restore all that which was once whole."))
She continued to chant repeatedly, the light growing brighter and brighter with each repetition until finally is shattered into a million lights, looking like the stars in the sky. The little orbs feel slowly down onto Dani. If it had worked properly, most of the interior damage would now be healed and her body would have to naturally heal some of the minor cuts that were not fatal. If it hadn''t worked, the best thing for the poor girl would be to put her out of her misery, to ease the pain.
When the light shattered, Evelyn''s eyes snapped open for a short space of time before rolling in the back of her head as she began to tilt backwards towards the ground. She had fallen unconsious.

Legend of Lost Legacy: Night
The moon was rising high in the west as the fog billowed about in a massive white, rolling around the ground in waves. Thundering hooves beat upon the damp ground, parting the white in their rapid departure. A black from raced in the moonlight for a brief glimpse before a cloud cast its long fingers over the orb and bringing nothing but darkness, making the form blend in the night sky. A figure could be seen clutched on the back of the steed, words softly mumbled under breath.
Lightning flashed in the east behind the pair as the approaching storm moved to take the place of the thin cloud, shadowing the moonlight completely. The fog was moving, shifting into shapes of spectrums and wandering souls. A small muffled scream was heard from the rider as thoughts came from memory to terrify her.
White fingers racked across the shoulders of the cloak, pulling the cloth back to blow in the wind of the speeding horse and revealing Evelyn Nyht pushing Reonum. She was leaning almost parallel with his hack, urging him to move faster in the Elven tongue. The steed''s nostrils flared with the pace he was keeping and knowing he was to push onwards. Sweat was collecting around the straps of the girth and saddle, but they pushed ahead.
Another flash of lightning streaked its jagged, broken fingers across the dark sky. A new form came out In that flash, a dark steed dark as the heart beating within the person riding him. He had hunted her for the last ten years, always ten steps behind her. She hadn''t known until she had fled from the castle months before that she was being sought out to be destroyed.
Devolth was his name of the Dark Elves, known as Drow that lived deep beneath the ground and thrived through the use of dark magic and deadly sword skills. They were very different from the common High, Wood, Wild, and Aquatic Elves, hating the green world above them. But his mission was to erase the last being carrying such ancient and vast knowledge.
The fog parted before him as he leaned forward in his seat, quickening his horse''s pace and slowly catching up with the two, speeding past those encamped outside by fireside and dodging trees. He broke through to a clear plain field, venomously saying, "I shall have you soon, dear. And then sweet bliss for eternity."
Two figures were seated near the fire blazing. The flicker of the flames shined brightly as a youthful looking girl idly cleaned and played with her twin blades. They reflected the firelight with each twist and spin.
The other form sat upon the ground, legs slightly bent and stretched before him as he absently poked at the hungry flames with a stick. His electric blue eyes were hazy and appeared battle weary as he continued to stare ahead of himself at the red glow.
Both jumped quickly to their feet at the rapid, neck breaking sound of the thundering hooves nearby. Their hearts beating quickly before the male parted company of the girl.
Aidian Kyros was his name as he sped to the edge of the clearing and watched the rider tear off across the field. What an amazing speed that horse is going he thought and wondered what hurry they were in to be going so fast. He waited patiently to see if anyone else would come.
The young girl tried to find out what had happened, but her eyes had failed when she noted the disappearance of Aidian. Confusion struck her like a fist to the face and she whistled among the trees. The pure, white, majestic unicorn named Condor appeared as she strapped her blades back in place. Condor snorted and pinned his ears back sensing other horses reaching high speeds. Tari Sindanare, as the girl was called, held the reins firm and motioned him to stand still beside the fire as she glanced through the shadows of the trees for anything suspicious.
Evelyn glanced back behind her as she heard the sound of the other steed snorting and huffing with the effort to catch up with them. A sudden shriek and she spurred Reonum on faster, whispering in his ear the urgency of their hast and an apology for such speed. She pulled the reins sharply to the left, praying to keep her neck unbroken, and made a dash back for the forest in hopes that she could weave among the trees long enough to lose her tracker.
Her cloak continued to billow madly behind her, snapping and cracking softly. She knew the cloth would be a hazard in the forest and rather risking a sudden strangulation over him having a piece to continue seeking her out, she came to the conclusion to leave it behind. One sleek hand went to the clasp near her throat and fiddled around wildly until it finally came undone, leaving it upon the ground behind her.
Devolth watched as she suddenly changed her course, his horse danced sideways as the two dashed in the opposite direction back to the woods. His pale hand seemed to have the same glow as the pale moon masked behind the storm clouds when he reached out to grab her. But only air was felt in his fist and he cursed loudly before turning his beast sharply to give chase once more. She was a sly one, but she couldn?t run forever. She''d slip up soon.
His horse came to a sudden stop as Evelyn''s cloak flew towards them, startling the animal enough that it thought of bats or other frightening creatures coming to tear at its flesh. Devolth fell hard on the ground face first before his steed, knocking the breath from him. He shook his silver hair from his eyes as well as to clear the fog within his mind and watched as she and Reonum disappeared within the dense forest. He moved from off the ground, appearing perfectly fine, and picked up the cloak from where it lay. This could come in handy he thought and said quietly, "I shall have you soon. Oh, yes. You shall meet your ending fate."
Evelyn pulled tightly on the reins back towards her, crooning softly to Reonum to slow his pace after they broke through the denser part of the forest?s underbrush. The forest was a dangerous place for a horse to speed through. Unseen holes, roots, and branches could very well maim or injure severely both steed and rider.
She saw the light of a campfire up ahead, but turned away from it to circle outside in the darkness. One hand held the reins firmly as the other laid just above her hip, hovering and ready to grasp the hilt of the concealed dagger. She was shivering from the cold, night air, but ignored it and steadied her body, willing it to cease the convulsive muscles.
