Just wondering what you guys are playing and if you wanna chat about it. eek Or recommend it, or hate on it, whatever. Or give me, I mean each other, tips on where to find games or send.. each other ROMs, heh. [/whore]

Right now I'm playing Fire Emblem (Rekka no Ken) for GBA. Well not currently because my sister took away my GBA to California with her.. but I'll have it back in about a week. It's my favorite game series of the moment.. I'm searching high and low for ROMs or copies of the Japanese version of FE 6 (Fuuin no Tsurugi. You know, the one with Roy?) I'm also a reg in the official FE chat in VG forum. whee

I also love DDR (am also searching for DDR mp3s).

I have a ton of other games (mostly RPGs and crap) that I finished or quit playing. I have practically every game system except for Xbox...

What's up with everyone else? eek

FF7 without a memory card crying . I bought it for 10$ at a store in Jersey and thought that it would be compatible with my memory card, but nooooooooo stressed Communist bastards!

Anyway, I love this game. Oh so much. Especially with Cloud, Tifa, and Aeris threaten to rip off, smash, and chop off this guy's balls. ^_~

I also am a DDR addict, but haven't played it due to the PS2 never being turned off until I can save FF7. XP

Are you using a PSone card? It won't work unless you use one. o_o;

I have the game too. whee Vincent = rox0rs.

I have DDR home version, but the arcade is just so much more fun..

Well, while I'm waiting for Sly Cooper 2 to come out I'm biding my time by replaying several favorites. Onimusha, Alundra (one, Alundra 2 is dead to me. DEAD, YOU HEAR?), Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1+2, and all of the Playstationed Metal Gears.

Not to mention sporadic bouts of ego-boosting world domination a la Civilization III, and spurts of Neverwinter Nights.

I never even tried the first Sly. Is it fun??

Haven't played Onimusha either... crying and I haven't even heard of Alundra (travesty?). Of course I know Dark Alliance and Metal Gear. Not that I play them.

Everyone talks about Neverwinter Nights. Should I try that too? sweatdrop

Sly's a platformer in the purest sense. I've never played it but it comes highly recommended so I may check it out someday. As for Neverwinter Nights, if you're even remotely into the D&D style action RPG, go for it. Amazing game, amazing story, amazing mechanics and an incredible sense of growth while leveling. Really, no matter what Cyn says, it is an amazing game, really fun, really deep, and it's just plain good.

I gave up on Fire Emblem... mostly because my uber tactics got to the point where I'd literally throw my GBA at the slightest mishap in plannage (only happened twice). I'm planning on getting back to it eventually...

I'm also planning on getting back to Disgaia so I can finish it in time to pick up Phantom Brave. Great games, and I LOVE Nippon Ichi's wicked humour.

Speaking of humour, I'm also waiting for Working Designs' localization of the Growlanzer series. Growlanzer Generations looks great, I love the artwork, the game looks slick, and it's backed by Working Designs, always a good thing.

Towards the winter I'm hoping that Shin Megami Tensei 3 and Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Tuner come out because I HUNGER for a good mythos RPG that only the MegaTen series has ever been able to satisfy.

Right now I'm playing through Earthbound again, dabbling in a bit of Baldur's Gate 2, hoping to find my copy of Neverwinter Nights and wondering if I should finally get around to kicking Sephiroth's a** in Kingdom Hearts.

Oh, as for recommendations, I highly recommend Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. AMAZING game, simply amazing, and it's available on all three of the current consoles. Or, if you're looking for some good games for the emulator, go for Earthbound (great, simply great), Front Mission: Gunhazard (tactical mech action, nice story too), and the Breath of Fire series is always good.

I'm sure it is, I just don't want to spend the time wrestling with the interface to actually play it. (Note: I HATE 3d cameras in D&D style RPGs on PC with a passion, in-so-far this is the only reason I don't like the game).

Right now I'm working up the determination to finish Future Tactics. It's a wonderful little game for at least X-box and PS2. It's along the lines of Disgaea and Fire Emblem in playability. It's been a fun little romp, I just need to do the last level.

Other than that I've mostly been playing La Pucelle Tactics (it came before Disgaea, but it's made by Nippon Ichi, US publisher is Mastiff), a GBA import (One Piece: Going Baseball. A beautiful, simple baseball game) and more recently, Metroid: Zero Mission. I plan to play Tales of Symphonia once I can rent it and steal my gamecube from my brother for a week. whee

What system is Neverwinter Nights for, anyway...? sweatdrop

I'm going to buy Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi (the 6th one) as soon as I get home. I decided to buy it from play-asia.com even though the damn thing is 50 dollars.

What are Growlizer and MegaTen like...? eek

I gave up on KH a while ago. Even though I could kick Sephiroth's a** if I wasn't so lazy (Sora's level 60 something. Gah).

I saw Prince of Persia and it doesn't look THAT great. Earthbound = rox0rs.
I'm stuck in Breath of Fire. Grr. I think there's a glitch in my bro's game that doesn't let me get any farther than where I am.

Okay then... if its for PC I can't play it. My computer would literally explode.

I want the One Piece Treasure Hunt games! scream

Tales of Symphonia is on my "Most Wanted" list for now. I have to recover from ordering Fuuin no Tsurugi online. sweatdrop

I'd want ToS too, except it's for the GC, and I don't have a GC, or plan on getting one so that's out. Guess I'll wait for the PS2 port, or the next Tales game which is slated for the PS2.

Prince of Persia may not look that great but trust me, once you get into playing it, it's amazing. It starts of fairly easy but from the simple controls you start with it just gets more and more deep. Really good game, and it's not too hard.

MegaTen is an RPG, but it aims for immersion. In the original games you played from a first person perspective, but in 3, you play from a third person perspective (over the shoulder sort of). They deal very heavily with mythology and it does a very cool job of merging dozens of mythologies and what not into a single workable story. I'm even more in love with one of it's spin-off series, Persona, which is absolutely amazing when it comes to mythos, psychology, and just plain awesome thoughts. MegaTen is one of the top five most popular RPG series in Japan, just to let you know. Demi-Children, if you've ever heard of it, is one of it's spin-off series.

Growlanzer's a tactical RPG without the grids. Sprite based but conversations are done with still profile images. Don't know much about it but Working Designs has rarly gone wrong with their localization of RPGs.

wahhh... crying I wanna play FF7, but i haven't gotten around to finding a copy of it yet. gonk I wuv FFX though...

I've also been replaying Gungrave and Kingdom Hearts... >.< i really need to get some new games...

WJ's right about Prince of Persia... its an excellent game, but I was only able to borrow it for a bit...

And Sly Cooper and the Thevious Racoonus (game 1) is awesome. The controls are extremely intuitive and spot on, its big enough to keep you busy without being so big that you give up, the challenge level is just right for some light gaming with a time attack mode that cranks the difficulty way up and adds a ton of replay value, and the voices are perfect for the characters. There's a bunch of great minigames to break up the platforming, several involving one of the other members of your team. And as far as the visuals, style reigned supreme on this project. Everything just feels cool as hell. Its the best cell-shaded game I've ever played. If you haven't played it yet, pick up a used copy for cheap and begin your new love affair.

I have always been, and will always be, all about the old school games. I usually end up playing those more often than the newer games out now.

Current playlist: Lufia and the Fortress of Doom, Lufia Rise of the Sinistrals, Castlevania (All platforms except GB & PS2), DDR Extreme, Pump It Up, Initial D Version 2, Final Fantasy 6, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, and of course Xenogears.

That's all the old stuff... then there's also:
Mega Man Aniversary, Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, and The Suffering.

Yeah, I like the 16-bit s**t. sweatdrop
