He is the hafe brother of Max ((That poor girl)) Not really an enemy. Would you think of him on the "Good side"?

I didn't like Ari, but I didn't dislike him either. I thought he was still a child at heart, obviously. But really, just a child. He got creepy once in a while, and at other times he seemed to know too much for his age.

I was ready to be sought out by those who did not ask, to be found by those who did not seek me. Well...Considering he's not there anymore...Anyways, he wasn't really 'part' of the flock yet was he? He was more like, I-just-earned-the-leader's-trust instead of part of the flock. Meaning, he was trusted by the main member but...Not the whole thing. So, yeah. I trusted him in the third book because well, he seemed so helpless. But, you have to remember, this is a 7-year old kid in a teenager's deformed body. Not a 14 year old. It's just that in the second one, really to me, he got extremely creepy. He was biting himself so he wouldn't show any emotion, and saying that he was going to capture Max and clip off her wings and chain her in a cave. Yeah, that was kinda overboard.

Ya. The poor little boy lost his father and was turned into an experiment for an experiment. I can see why he was sorta mad at max. He was creepy though. Mixed feelings. I hated him in the second book but he was ok in the third.

But you have to take into consideration that he really was only a little kid. Regardless of how old he looked. His father paid no attention to him. He had no mother. He lost the attention of everyone, and he wasn't so easy on the eyes, either. I felt sorry for him, the whole time. Even when he wanted to keep Max, it was for him to have her as a friend. He wanted to be her friend, he loved her. =[

I could never think of Ari as 7 years old until the third book. I dunno, maybe it's because he didn't act nearly like a 7 year old at all in the first two books? I'm not saying that it was his fault that he acted that way (...Jeb...).

Not me, I always thought of him as a seven year old. It struck me as too.. terrible to forget. So throughout the whole time, I could understand why he thought that way. 'Cause he was little. =[

I think we were meant to hate him in the beginging. Then as the series went on we found out more about everything. In my opinion I think Ari shouldn't be considered bad...well at least not all bad. Jeb did leave him at the School while he help the flock escape, and when Jeb went back to the School he only really seemed to care about Max. And I think in mentioned in the 3rd book that they used Ari's hatred for Max for his training or something like that. So it really seems like they took advantage of his anger. Ari really didn't know the whole story behind everything. Then there's the fact that neither Max or Ari knew that they were half siblings....I'm sure if he knew everything then he really wouldn't have tried to hurt the flock.

I feel bad for him too, but I also thought it was just a little creepy how he was in love w/Max in the beginning books.
