What have we got? Substance.
So far, the thread and this guild have gotten down what most organizations lack, substance. Crazy yet dedicated posters, [amazing] theories and stories. But for every compliment, there's something 'bad' to be said also.
We lack a certain style.
While our guild has some pretty great stuff in it, I can't help but feel that overall we're not quite as aesthetically pleasing as other guilds.
In lay man's terms, I think we need to up the appearance. Not necessarily more art (It couldn't hurt though wink ), but a bit more organization.
At this point, we've only really managed to use this main forum, none of the other forums are close to being as active as this one. And it's a shame really, because we have very intelligent and fun people here, but we've mainly been focusing on one thing: plot theories and everything related to X and G-Corp. While that is our primary purpose, as a community, we haven't gotten as tight as we could be. One of the ways to get us all closer would be to use those subforums, the ones that let us show who we are and what we're about. Talking to others about our favorite music, movies, books, anything can get us closer, if not as a group, at least help us meet new members.
I for one can say that I am pretty tight with a couple of the guys here, but aside from that, I hardly know anyone else.
We're gradually improving our style and our substance (not that the latter needs improvement, we're all amazing), so I know that we're capable of becoming great, it just seems to me that we're lacking that certain something.

If we're looking for organization, I say cut down on the stickies and announcements, combine 'em and such... Also, we could establish a sort of ordering system for our topics, like I've seen in other guilds.
As in, we title our topics:
[Theory] The Return of X [Chat] The New MCs [Game] Post Whatever
Or something like that.
And I'd like to get to know everyone here better, too. I loved our Annual Ball thread.

I like the idea of putting the sub-forums to use but we've really one got about 20 or so really active members. That's why the main forum gets used so much. It'd be a waste to post important info in the sub-forums because hardly anyone checks them.
I love the idea though.

Thanks to the both of you.
@VV: That's one way to improve the overall look. And I love it. The whole [Tag] thing could get a bit annoying, but the division thing sounds good. The main forum could be theoryies and/or chat, and we could have subforums dedicated to the rest of the stuff.
@Crimson: True, but while we've got such a low number of active members, we can all get to know eachother so that when more people come, we can focus on getting to know them, since we'll already know everyone else.
I can honestly say the only people I've really chatted with are: Tales, Wolf, and Hermes. I'd love to get to know all you guys.

I agree. =O Luckily nobody can see how jumbled it all is until they've joined. xD
The Theory subforum is a good start though. =3

You bring up a lot of good points, Blind. I admit, I was thrown off a little when I noticed all the subforum changes, but I do honestly think it's for the best, now that I've seen it. I suppose, it didn't occur to me how much we have been focused around the main area, since I passed it off as the fact that we are a young guild, and one initially formed around a single idea, of 'X lives'. Hopefully these changes will really spice the guild a lot more. There are some wonderful minds, here. I can only hope, regardless of X, our guild stays strong, and of course, hopeless insane.

I must admit I've not been around much of late (damn real life and its penchant for getting in the way of my fun xp ) so I tend to hang back a bit, finding the threads etc a little confusing - so I can say I'd definately see a bit more organisation a good thing, seperating the fun threads from the serious etc so people know exactly what they're reading / looking for!
